I loved Muir Woods! I would definitely recommend going there. Sausalito was kind of boring, but maybe it just wasn't my cup of tea. I expected the town to be much nicer. We walked around for 15-20 minutes and then were bored. Our driver was funny and knew a lot of interesting facts. I would recommend this tour.

Our trip out to Muir Woods started out in a misty rain, but this didn't deter our friendly driver. Since visibility was somewhat hampered, our driver took our group up to an area where we could get better photos of the Golden Gate Bridge. The road spiraled up the mountain, but our driver was very adept and was a wealth of information regarding the plant life and history of the areas preceding Muir Woods. The hour plus self tour of Muir Woods was more than adequate especially with the heavy mist. It is absolutely a must see for any tourist or CA resident. The tour includes transportation to Sausalito for an hour stay before departing. I had made reservations at "Spinnaker' restaurant months prior and decided to take the Ferry back instead of rejoining the group tour bus home. This proved to be a good idea since we were still finishing up dessert when the bus was leaving. We had time to tour the cute town of Sausalito and take the 3:30 PM Ferry back to Pier 41. The shops in Sausalito are your typical tourist traps, but one store, Kokopelli, had lovely jewelry and amazing multicolored clay figures._br/_ Don't miss this trip, but stay in Sausalito, forgo the van back, and take the ferry back to the pier.

I didn't call the staff to check the pick up time at the hotel. So, I lost the tour. Maybe it could be bold type stated at the instructions. From the reservation time on, I've thought it would be at two PM.

Great little side trip but,hard to squeeze so much into four hours. Getting close to the bridge for pictures was great! The Muir woods were gorgeous and Saulsalito is a pretty little town. But, by the time you leave the woods and get to town youonly have an hour. And by then everyone is starving so you head to a restaurant and by then it's time to hop back on the bus. It would be really neat if they had the ferry incorporated into the trip and you took that back to the wharf. Allotting more time after lunch for shopping and sight-seeing.

This tour was AWESOME! The tour guide was very accommodating by picking me up at my hotel. I enjoyed the sights around the Muir National Monument very much, as it was very peaceful and desolate. It made me promise myself I would make it back and hike it someday. Sausalito was also a beautiful neighborhood. I have a new favorite ice cream flavor: Guava cheesecake! Definitely a recommended tour!

What an amazing sight to see the giant redwoods. Take a coat. It was cold. Sausalito is beautiful but time spent there was not enough. We had to rush through the town or stay longer and get the ferry back.

This was the third excursion we booked through Viator. Once again the ground handler Super Shuttle Sightseeing was excellent. All timings were as confirmed and the driverwas not only, very knowledgeable, but he also added his own personality to makle everyone feel at home. Muir Woods is truly specatcular and makes a nice change from the coasr and cities. Sausalito has its own charm with lots of excellent galleries and individual shops. All in all a most pleasant half-day. Pity the weather wasn't as great !!

Great tour and well organized. Our driver picked us up right at the door of our hotel and took us to the booking office for the tour company and they accepted our Viator vouchers without question. Muir Woods was beautiful and the weather luckily for us was awesome for the time of year that we were there for. The bus ride is a little rough for the faint of heart, to and from Muir Woods. Sausalito was cute, but wished the time alotted there wasn't quite as long. More time could have been spent at Muir Woods. All in all a great outing on a stellar trip to San Francisco. We loved the tranquil atmosphere of Muir Woods and it was great to see the Giant Redwoods thriving. Sausalito was beautiful and we bought some amazing friut from the market there. Also we learnt a lot about San Francisco on our drive through the city both ways and got some great photos of the Golden Gate Bridge. A nice easy paced half day excursion with informative guide throughout.

This was a great trip. The bus driver was knowledgeable & very friendly. The pickup from the hotel was on time. The air at Muir Woods was incredibly fresh, the trees unimaginably tall. I did not believe that they were as tall and big as they were. I only wish we were able to spend more time at each place.

We took the tour in late March. It was a perfect time to go to Muir woods. Little chilly, but very nice weather overall. We really wished we had more time at Muir Woods because the trees are so magestic!

Muir woods was breathtaking. Whilst in California I went to Yosemite and Muir woods, but hands down, I have to say Muir woods was more magical and beautiful than Yosemite was. You feel you're surrounded by something special when in Muir woods and Sausalito is the most quaint and charming town. Considering the reasonable price, this tour is a must.
