The Napa Valley WineCountry Day Trip was awesome even though it rained. Our driver Mike (I think) was great. I would book this tour or another one the next time I go to San Francisco.

Wonderful tour of the Napa Valley. We were able to visit some fine wineries, from small producers to the big ones, and sample their wines. Our tour guide-driver "Ken" also made the trip wonderful with his information about Napa Valley.

This one day trip EXCEEDED my expectations. It was everything your website described and then some. Our driver, Ken, was very knowledgeable about the city and its great historical spots. The size of the group was just the right size to make each stop enjoyable. I am preparing for my next visit there. Keep up the good work!

refreshments other than wine tasting and sales should be given by the wineries for those non wine drinkers. It would not hurt to have a fridge with some drinks in their gift shops. An indoor area is needed for eating lunch during the winter time

Having spent 3 days on my own traveling wine county, I booked this tour just because I was curious about what they were like and this one especially because it offered the boat ride across the bay.

I enjoyed this tour and would've rated this 5 stars if it wasn't for the additional wine-tasting costs and the insanely irritating tour guide "Mama Vicki". With her aside; the selection of wineries was great - with a good mix of delicious whites and reds. The size of the tour (approx 30) was ideal as we got enough attention from the tasters, as well as having enough folks to mingle with. In fact, I'd have to say the people on the bus really made the tour special. _br/_ We were advised to purchase food at the first winery and I'm glad we did. The selection of food; pastas, antipasto, cheeses etc was amazing AND so fresh. _br/_ The only thing that I would caution is to budget an extra $50 for wine tasting. We booked this tour with the impression that wine tasting was included; however we had to pay $10 at each place to sample the wines (so add $50). We later found out that this was common for most tours but it was surprising to be hit up for more cash along the way. _br/_ If you're up for a fun trip, you've budgeted for the wine tasting and you want to meet some great people then I would say go for it.

Was a great tour...enjoyed our guide and had fun on the bus. The wineries were very good and interesting but the last winery on the tour was very brisk and we felt that they only wanted our money, and get in and get out attitude...I will not buy any of their wines or refer anyone to their winery. _br/_ Otherwise, we had a great time despite the rain and fog all day. Our guide was just wonderful and informative.

Awesome day and our guide for the day Victoria sure made it fun with her little surprises._br/_ Our time was limited in San Francisco so this tour covered off a number of our want to see; drive across the Golden Gate, trip into the country, taste wine and a ferry trip back to the city._br/_ Robyn New Zealand

Fantastic Day...Alex was really friendly and organised, cool box and water was really appreciated as it was a hot day. Deli at Suttii was amazing, you can picnic there or eat on route..Overall the four wineries we visited varied in presentation and tasting, nice way to experience top quality wines and have fun. Great day would do it again.

We had a lovely day. The ferry trip back was a highlight. Enjoyed the ambience......although the wines themselves left a lot to be desired. We are a little spoiled as we live in the Margaret River area of Western Australia. Enjoyed the luncheon stop. Found it disappointing with the laws that stymied a lot of the wineries from offering food.......California needs to come into the "real world".

I really enjoyed the trip and had a great time, chandon winery is the best , Sattui is a must except for Rutherford grove which is poorly served and attended, thus not much to taste, nothing exciting about it.

A lovely day into the Nappa Valley, with 4 stops at different wineries. Did feel slightly rushed, not enough time to eat Lunch which was purchased from V. Sattui Winery Deli. Possibly 3 stops would have been more suitable.

Excellent introduction to Nepa valley wines. Well organised with a knowledgeable tour guide/ host/ coach driver who had a rapport with the vineyard representatives. Please note that the cost of the wine tasting is extra - circa $10 per stop, ideal if traveling with minors under 21, although some negative feedback on other sites.

This was such a great trip for us. Every review we read about the day trip was true. Glen was our driver/guide and he was fabulous. Our group was small, about 25 people, and we had such a good rapport that some of us went out to dinner after we returned to SF. We highly recommend this tour.

The guide was excellent, but the trip was n't. Going to 4 wineries in one day was silly. It was rushed and some of the presentations were not great. The Chandon one was for the most part a sales pitch. The Franciscan was much more pleasant. If I had to do it over again, less would be better, perhaps going to two wineries, have lunch and maybe time to wander around a small village and see a few shops.

We strongly recommend this tour. Good selection of wineries and an excellent guide ("Big" John) with a very wide knowledge of the area, who provided sound advice on the wines that could be purchased at each of the wineries. He contributed to an overall pleasant tour in a very cheerful atmosphere and was very sympathetic and helpful when one of the participants had a problem before boarding the boat back to San Francisco.

The overall tour was great, and we had a fun tour guide who gave us some great tips and tricks. For the wineries we visited: Domaine Chandon was beautiful and they had a great, knowledgeable guide. V.Sattui was also a gorgeous property- really delicious food to go with fantastic wine selections.. although it was very busy while we were there and the service was below par. At Franciscan, it was raining so our tour was dampered.. but we still were able to see the cask room while enjoying our tasting. Lastly, Whitehall was also a very nice property where we enjoyed a private tasting room and tour of the winery. Overall we had a great tour, thought that it was very romantic and worry-free.

Had a great time, our tour guide Glen was fantastic and went out of his way to make our trip fun and informative. We were in very good hands from the start to the finish of our day tour of Napa Valley. The only problem we had was the young man that “greeted” us at 8:30 am before the buses arrived. He was rude, intolerant and did not want to be there. We were treated as if speaking to us and giving us direction was a royal pain in the ass, maybe he just had a bad morning. Like I said, this was a few minutes of an otherwise fabulous day with an awesome guide. We would defiantly recommend Glen and your tour to anyone. Well done Glen and thank you again for the extra effort! It shows!

We had fun even though it was raining the entire time. I was expecting a tour of the vineyards and the process of wine-making, but all we did was taste the wine and then move on to the next winery. I'm not sure if it is always this way, or just because of the rain. There was not nearly enough time at the V,Sattui winery (in my opinion the best one). That was where we ate lunch and it was so busy that we did not have time to look around and there was barely enough room to breathe in the cafe. I suggest getting your food to go and eating it on the bus so that you have time to explore and taste the wines. Our guide was friendly and knowledgable and the bus was comfortable, except the windows kept fogging up due to humidity so we didn't see much. Overall it was a good experience for the money, and excellent for first-timers, but next time I think I will drive on my own and choose which places to visit.

Great tour and driver - V Sattui was very busy and I didnt bother to attempt to try any wines which was a bit disappointing. Not usual practice here in South Australia to pay for tastings but understand the thinking of the wineries. Lovely area! P.S Australia has just as good if not better wine regions - come and visit them.

A fun day out, which takes you to 4 large wineries. If you want to see the smaller, family run places, this isn't a tour for you. Also keep in mind that you need to pay for the wine tasting at 3 of the locations. The ferry trip back is a nice way to end the day.

Our guide was excellent, as was our driver. We enjoyed a nice amount of time at each winery we visited and each was different and worth seeing. I was disappointed in the portions of wine offered in view of what we paid to sample their products. Your description is misleading.

We saw four vineyards and did tastings at all four. The package tour includes DISCOUNTED tasting fees and lunch. Our favorite was V. Sattori .... their New Harvest White Reisling was absolutely wonderful! It was wonderful to have someone else do the driving who could also give us wonderful insight into the history and sites along the way!

Very good tour. Well-paced guide provided helpful hints for the wineries as well as a good overview of the local history and pointed out many of the sights in the area. We thought the timing and location of the lunch arrangements could have been better. Also we only really liked the wines of one of the four wineries sampled, but that's a personal thing and other participants seemed well-pleased with the selection. The ferry ride back to San Francisco was a highlight.

A great day out in the Napa Valley. The tour was extremely well organised and there was a good variety of wineries visited in terms of both size and cost. Good guide, but, with one exception, the wineries visited were not very good or visitor friendly. The first venue on the tour was disgraceful, with unhelpful staff and a complacent attitude. You should advise foreign visitors that ID may be needed - in the UK we do not normally carry any ID.
