Excellent tour! La paz and Poas were my favorite, though Dokka was interesting...

Tour was good but everyone should be advised to (or given) water to carry especially in the high altitude on the volcano!

Very informative tour. If you could throw a zipline in there somewhere you would have the perfect tour. Anna Lucia, the tour guide, was great. Breakfast and Lunch were good.

We went on this day tour during our honeymoon. Our tour guide was not very friendly. We were told that we would stop at this little shop on the way to the waterfall from the volcano but because we had someone joining our tour late we did not have time to go anymore. I think that was very rude of them. It was not our fault that they allow people to join the tour late and that the person was waiting to get picked up. We all paid a lot of money and want to see and do everything we are told we will get to. We loved seeing the coffee estate, volcano and waterfall but tour guides can make or break a tour.
Review: 2 star rating: It was OK, but could have been better

Guide was very knowledgeable, would have wanted to stay longer and linger at the waterfalls gardens but we were pressed for time.

This tour was well worth the money! Donald was an awesome tour guide with 15 years of experience. He knows so much about the process at the coffee plantation, the volcanos and the waterfalls. He taught us a little Costa Rican, as well as telling us about the country while on the bus._br/_ Even though we are huge coffee lovers, we had no idea what the process involved. I only have more of an appreciation for coffee farmers now. The breakfast was excellent too!_br/_ It happened to be cloudy at the Poas volcano, so we didn't see much. Instead we hiked up 160 feet to the other crater and saw the lake. Some of our group stayed at the original crater long enough to see the clouds part for a good view of the crater. We regret missing that a little. Note to people on the tour - when the guide says meet at a certain time, be there. Don't make him come looking for you because you made everyone wait 20 minutes!_br/_ The waterfall area was serene. It started with several "houses" of wildlife in which you could get up close to a variety of native wildlife. An excellent lunch buffet was next, offering traditional CR dishes as well as pizza, hot dogs and salad. The tour ended with the falls, which were gorgeous. Donald knew the tour so well, that he could tell us how many steps we would descend and ascend. _br/_ In addition to Donald's great tour guide skills, our driver was amazing - some of the roads were narrow, on a cliffsiode and full of potholes. I never once felt scared or unsafe.

We stay Costa Rica only two days. The Combo tour gives us the best and must see in Costa Rica. Before we visit CR, we think we should see the vocanal, reain forest and cofee process. The tour all included in one and very organized. We are enjoy and more than what we expect.

Most interesting history of the City, probably because guide, Jason was so extremely knowledgeable. The big turn off was at end of tour when they brought us to a jewelry store to shop.

The tour was simply wonderful! We were picked up on time at our hotel. Our tour guide, Melvin, was knowledgeable, polite and patient. The bus was comfortable, the food breakfast and lunch was plentiful and delicious, and all of the facilities restaurants and restrooms were clean and comfortable. The one suggestion I would make would be to cut back on some of the details at the coffee plantation. It was interesting, but just a little bit too much information regarding the coffee making process.

I got to see a lot around the Alajuela region. I don't know if this is "the best of Costa Rica." The meals were good as well. We were lucky to see most of the crater of the Poas volcano, but pay attention to the forecast before you book. We were lucky to finish La Paz before it started pouring down.

Loved the tour. We saw a lot in a short amount of time. Our guide was excellent and our driver did a spectacular job of driving, even when the roads to the falls were not in the best condition. Breakfast and lunch were both great. My friend had some mobility problems and our guide suggested a golf cart to take her back to the bus. This to me was up and above what was required. The only suggestion I would make is to warn people that the steps back from the falls are many and steep.

Very good tour - three sights you don't want to miss! Be prepared to meet lots of crowds at Volcan Poas, especially if you go on a weekend. I've been on both the Doka and Cafe Britt coffee tours, and I have to admit that the Cafe Britt one is much more entertaining.

We were in a small bus which was good for the roads. Excellent guide, had good knowledge and a good attitude. The three main destinations are all good and the travel time between them not too long. It would be good if bottled water was included on the bus.

I only had 1 day in San Jose and wanted to make the best of it. I think I chose the right company and the right tour! Our tour guides were very professional. One of the nice features was the guide had a microphone in the tour van and kept us entertained with interesting tidbits about the region. Coffee plantation was nice, the botanical gardens were the best and the highlight of the tour! Breakfast was good, lunch was OK. All in all, I would definitely recommend!

You need to let travelers know that tours in Costa Rica are not actually managed and conducted by Viator. Also, you need to provide a local phone number for Vator. Because the road near the La Paz waterfall had been damaged by last year's earthquake, we were not able to view it because it required climbing both down and up 350 steps plus back up a hill to the hotel where we were dropped off. As a result, we were not able to view one of the three primary features of the combo tour. I have been recommending Viator to others based on our experience with your tours in Portugal, but I was not pleased with this one in Costa Rica.

Very good, but we had a lot of rain at waterfalls just before lunch and the guide could have suggested to do lunch earlier and to visit the falls just after that. We would have avoided to get completed wet.

An exceptional experience and the best tour to take to get an overall view of what Costa Rica has to offer. However, tour was fast paced and somewhat strenuous from a physical standpoint lots and lots of steps to climb at the waterfalls and a good amount of uphill walking at the crater. It would have been helpful if this had been mentioned in the description. A good value with 2 meals included.
