After pickup from your San Jose hotel, you'll travel through the Braulio Carrillo National Park on your drive. You'll pass mountains covered in dense forests, and numerous rivers and waterfalls. Once you reach the banana plantation, you'll board a boat and set sail to Tortuguero National Park.As you sail throughout the network of lagoons, your knowledgeable guide will be there to teach you about the history and wildlife of Tortuguero National Park. The park's secluded, black-sand beaches are some of the most important breeding grounds for the green sea turtle. The park is not only home to green sea turtles - you'll also get the chance to see sloths, howler monkeys, tiny frogs and green iguanas.
