Private Tour: Santiago City Sightseeing

Santiago, Chile

Ideal for first-time visitors to Santiago, this private guided tour is a well-rounded introduction to Santiago's famous sights. With a choice of a morning or afternoon tour, you'll have the rest of the day to explore Chile's capital city further on your own.

Your tour takes you through the main streets of Santiago's civic center with its many different architectural styles. You'll pass the neoclassical Moneda Palace, built in the 18th century and current seat of Government; the Plaza de Armas, or main square, with its cathedral and the Central Post Office.

Your tour continues to the Parque Forestal, based on Paris' Champs-Elysees and Santa Lucia Hill, where the city of Santiago was founded in 1541. You'll continue to the bohemian area of Bellavista and climb the San Cristobal hill for a panoramic view of Santiago with the Andes mountains in the background.

Your tour concludes with a visit to the handicraft village of Los Graneros del Alba. This attraction is closed on Mondays, when an alternative attraction is substituted.

Just an OK tour. Our guide wanted to know what WE wanted to see whereas we expected her to provide us with a comprehensive experience that a private tour is expected to do. We were vleft with the feeling that maybe we had missed something that we should have seen.

We had a great tour! I feel like we got so much for our money. Our tour guide, Victor, was very accommodating and knows his stuff.

The tour was very good especially the guide Jacqueline Aliste. She was flexible in the pace and sites we visited. I would recommend her as an excellent guide for a "Gringo" visitor to Santiago. Pickup and drop off was across the street from our hotel.

Gina and Juanito were very gracious guide and driver. We thoroughly enjoyed our time with them. We recommend using them for anyone seeking this private tour.

Our guide, Jorge, was excellent. He spoke excellent English, and had a terrific knowledge of both Santiago and the history of Chile. He was able to take us to areas not normally open to visitors. This tour exceeded our expectations!!

Good tour, and well worth paying the little extra to have a private driver and guide so that we were more flexible.

We got more out of this half day tour than we could have in several days on our own. Thank you, Miriam.

Excellent guided tour in small vehicle with friendly and knowledgeable guide. Sadly one of our party tripped and rolled their ankle. Guide and Driver most compassionate and helpful. Highly recommend.

We scheduled this so that we were barely checked into our condo before we had our city tour. Great overview of Santiago and Paula, the guide, was very thorough. Only downside was that with so many twists and turns we couldn't get our bearings so we kind of stumbled on the locations we saw. Paula mentioned some great restaurants and places to see in Bellavista and also some wines to try.

Seven of us took the private Santiago City Sightseeing tour at 3:00pm. Our guide was very nice and smart and the tour was interesting and pleasant, giving us a first idea about this marvelous city. The van was also wonderful! I have one remark which I consider to be important. The total duration of about 3.5 hours and the traffic in this city does not allow the whole tour to be done. So we failed to go to San Cristobal and to Las Graneros del Alba, which were included in the tour, and this was a little bit frustrating for some of us. I tried to do this the very next day. Once again, our guide and driver were great!

The tour guide was just okay. Didn't offer much about the city or country economy, history, politics, etc.

Wished we had the time to go inside some of the buildings. It would have been good to know that we would need passports to enter some of the buildings. Our guide was very informative.
