The guide from Seville to Grenada was fine; however, the guide at the Alhambra was terrible. She babbled about uninteresting facts, wasted time and failed to convey the true interest in visiting the site and that is the history of the Alhambra and the stories of the people who lived there. Pointing out every water feature and plant is neither interesting nor informative. The worst part was she wasted so much time repeating herself with uninteresting things that I do not believe we saw the entire site and, what is worse, we had only an hour and a half (including walking time) to spend in the town of Grenada. If the bus driver truly only has 12 hours to complete a tour, the process needs to be streamlined with one pick up spot in Seville and a better, more efficient tour guide at the Alhambra. Beautiful site/town but we left feeling like we missed the best parts.

Our guide on the bus was very friendly but spoke limited English and did not tell us very much about what we were experiencing. Our guide at the Alhambra was late, which cut into our tour time, and I felt the Alhambra tour was too rushed and abbreviated.

We were promptly picked up on time at 7 a.m by the agent from a convenient location near our hotel. The drive on the coach was comfortable with a short break at the half way point. At Granada, we were instructed on how to take a public bus to a scenic spot to view the Alhambra from far. It was a fairly long break so we had lunch at that spot. We returned to the meeting point and were taken to the Alhambra where we were met by our guide, a lady who was excellent.She spoke good English and was well informed about Spanish history and Culture. We toured the beautiful Generalife gardens and later took the special entrance for tour groups to visit the Alhambra which helped us avoid the long lines. The tour was very interesting and we walked quite a lot. We were quite tired after the long day and slept on the bus on the way back to Sevilla. We returned around 8:30 pm.

This trip was the one to which I was most looking forward. From the pick-up, the trip went really well. Our tour director, Jose, was very courteous and had a better than average grasp of English. Wish I could say the same about my Spanish:) I would recommend this trip to anyone. There was plenty of time for stops and photos. Our guide at the site, Christine, was full of information and little tidbits as only someone who knows and loves The Alhambra could give. A most memorable day. It would have been nice to have a drop-off to the Hotel at the end of a long but fabulous day.

Well, the tour to Alhambra was great. However, I almost missed the tour because the people who arrived at my hotel never told me they were there. The hotel blames them and the blame the hotel. Thus, I had to take a taxi and reach the bus at Hotel Aire and that meant an extra 7 euros I had to pay to the taxi. I find the tour extremely expensive, considering that they charge you 120 euros and this does not include either breakfast or lunch. Also, once the tour to Alhambra was over, I was taken to Granada, but I had to pay for my lunch, there was no guide to show you the sites, nothing. In conclusion, you may want to save yourself a lot of money and go to Granada (from Sevilla) by using the Renfe, and paying for your entrance to Alhambra, instead of taking this tour.

And our guide at the Alhambra and Generalife Gardens was great! It was also nice to have a couple of hours of free time in Granada for us to "do our own thing".

Horrible trip. First, meeting time was changed at the last moment. No hotel pick-up, that is a joke. Meeting at Plaza de Toros, very early in the morning (7:45am) when there's nothing open for breakfast. Waited however for half an hour in a different location for 2 persons and a friend of the driver. Stopped for breakfast at a gas station, where we spent 20 min in line for coffee, only to not get served, due to not speaking Spanish. Arrived late at Alhambra, guide did not wait so we wasted another hour waiting for him. We had 1 1/2 hours for Alhambra and 1h for Granada. Definitely NOT recommended.

The trip was very good. However I was not happy about what went on before hand. I had booked the trip on 3rd August for Wednesday 5th October. However, received a SMS at 6pm on 4th October to tell me that the tour had rescheduled to Friday 7th October as the tour had been overbooked. There was no consultation from viator that I had nothing else planned for the 7th but in fact I ha booked rail tickets for Malaga. Although Alicia_br/_ was helpful and refunded my rail booking fees it still created inconvenience for me, something I did not expect from Viator.

Patricia our Alhambra tour guide was absolutely amazing, she's clearly very passionate and it shines through her stories, was the most interesting and entertaining recollection of history! Our bus guide however left much to be desired, more or less abandoning us at Granada town centre to discover for ourselves through trial and error where to eat, shop and tour.

The trip was a disappointment. We had more time alloted in Grenada than at the Alhambra which was the purpose of the visit. The guide was very knowledgeable but she sped through the tour and ended an hour early--barely two hours long. I would not recommend this tour.

The Alhambra was marvelous and we appreciated the opportunity to be able to visit it as a day trip from Sevilla. However, the tour guide left much to be desired. He did not offer any information about Sevilla nor about any of the area through which we drove. Upon arrival at the Alhambra he turned us over to a local guide who was great. We were met after the tour and told where the bus would pick us up after 2 hours of free time. Again, on the return to Sevilla: nothing! I don't understand the purpose of the him even being with us. There must be other guides in Sevilla who offer a more informative tour.

Disappointing that we ended up spending nearly 13 hours to have just over 2 hours at the Alhambra. Worrying ti8me waiting in near darkness for the bus to pick us up as we were yelled at by young drunks driving past. Long drive into sun. Guide not ready with tickets and so we wasted over half an hour waiting to be allowed in. Then the guide rushed us out over half an hour before our scheduled tome. Very upsetting. We seemed to skim past a lot of places in the complex witout going inside. Then we were walked to Granada and left to our own devices. When we returned to Seville the bus couldn't drop anyone at their hotels due to a demonstration march. We were told to head for the demonstrators on the main street and continue to go right. We had to walk through the marchers and ask a policeman and finally made it back to the hotel after walking for 35 minutes. I would not recommend this tour to anyone but would suggest that a stay in Granada would be a better way of seeing Alhambra for your designated 3 hour period.

The tour rep arrived bang on time at our hotel at the very early hour; however the bus came late and we then collected the other tourists. I was a bit annoyed that we then passed our hotel to join the motorway an hour after meeting the rep... so could have had that little bit extra in bed if they had planned it better!! Anyway, its a long journey to Granada; thoughtfully they stopped at a service station for a break. At Granada we were given 2 hrs to explore before heading to the Alhambra. At the Alhambra we had a far too long wait for the tour guide to arrive in the steaming heat; then there was a 15 min discussion between her and our rep about why she was late - which only served to delay matters- and then we were hurried into the tour and pushed to keep up with her! It was far too rushed in my view but I do appreciate that they have too channel a lot of people through in a day and have to limit people's time at each part of the tour. I loved the Alhambra but having seen the Alcazar in Seville took away some of the impact. PLEASE NOTE: anyone with restricted mobility will struggle with the accessibility of the site and even the wheelchairs they lend cant get to every spot. But at least they offer them. Overall a good experience but not overwhelming as some of these reviews below suggest.

Our trip to the Alhambra Palace from Seville was excellent and we enjoyed the whole thing. It is worth getting your hotel to provide a picnic breakfast since the motorway stops are quick and if there are other coaches there the queue may be too long to get anything

The entire tour was a positive experience. The pickup and dropoff were prompt, the bus was clean and nice, the guide spoke English beautifully, the information was helpful, the guide at Alhambra was great. The only thing I would change I would offer some information about the historic buildings in Granada that we saw during free time - we wandered ourselves and discovered there was a lot to see, but we didn't know which route to take and the Granda tourist office did not speak English and did not have any maps. It would be wonderful to provide a street map and suggested tour route on foot for the 2 hours of free time in Granada.

All that I expected. Very nice bus driver. The Tour of Alhambra was well worth with a very personable english speaking tour guide. You may want to pick a restaurant for Lunch in Granada other than what was recommended by the bus driver. The quality of the food was ok, but think I could have done better on my own.

Pickup was convenient and right on time. The tour was excellent, with an outstanding guide. Then we had free time in Granada. Like another reviewer mentioned, you should figure out in advance how you want to spend your time in Granada. We had a quick enjoyable gazpacho and bocadillo and then got a taxi up to St. Nicholas for the view and return. We had a bit less time in Granada than advertised, and got back to Seville about a half-hour early, but that was fine. The Alhambra is definitely something you'll want to see, and this tour was well worth it because doing it on your own in one day from Seville would be quite a feat. Once again Viator comes through with a quality tour.
