Your guided evening tour of Shanghai starts with an evening cruise on the Huangpu River, which divides the Bund into two sections, Pu Dong and Pu Xi, which mean 'east of river' and 'west of river' respectively. Local people honor the Huangpu as Mother River, and as you view the lights and spectacle from the deck of your evening cruise, you will understand why.

Seeing the boats lit up on the river was nice but the boat was just crammed with people. Our tour had only a total of 5 people but combining many, many other tour groups made it a bit overwhelming. Riding the little tram going down the Nanjing center is pretty pathetic. Price is way too high for this tour.

I thought the tour was excellent and it was great to take my family around Shanghai. The tour guides were fantastic and really enthusiastic about their city. They had also been on a separate trip to Hangzhou that day but despite the long day they were still geared up to show us Shanghai at night.

We were on this tour Nov. 05,2010. Nice way to see Shanghai, enjoyed the river cruise, but again the other items included in the tour package were eliminated by the tour guide or simply rushed through them just so that he could finish and get home.

Great nite-time activity. However, the ferry or boat we were on was very crowded and no services and the tour operator doesn't accompany you-- so a bit of confusion. There was nothing else to this tour but a ride around picking up people and dropping off people at hotels and even though I thought the river and sights themselves were awesome, I was a bit disappointed in the tour group stuff. Think it should have included a free drink or a stop somewhere for something else other than people's hotels. Just my opinion, but I was in Shanghai for a week and found other tours were more inclusive. This also was not very much money-- so you get what you pay for

While the lights and skyline of Shanghai are lovely from the Bund, this tour experience was quite awful. We hope it was just the Expo crowds, but we were abandoned by our guide in the boat cruise queue for 40 uncomfortable minutes amidst a throng of drunken, shoving and rude non-English speaking tourists. It was impossible to hear the English narration on the cruise, so we have no idea what we were seeing. While the Nanjing Road trolley ride was somewhat better we were also accosted constantly by street vendors. We wish our guide would have a) protected us from the vendors more and b) provided some actual guide info/helped us understand what we were seeing. And most importantly, please do not EVER abandon a group on the street alone -- we paid for a service we did not receive.

A most enjoyable evening. Was well looked after by the tour guide. The lights of the city buildings by ferry were a sight to behold. The guide knew best standpoint for photos and also had a good tour through city shops on way home. Did some great pearl shopping too. Really enjoyable evening.

This is a wonderful way to see the lights of the Bund in the evening and walk the mall. The tour guide a young female, was excelent, good knowledge and good english. Most helpful directing us to all our needs.

We enjoyed the evening. The guide seemed to be in a hurry however, this was probably due to the weather, as it was quite cold. Very crowded conditions.

We enjoyed the evening cruise although you can get the tickets on your own for a much cheaper price. The second part of the tour was pretty lame. We took a trolley up the pedestrian street of The Bund. It took about 5 minutes and that constituted our "Bund City Lights Evening Tour". That part of the tour was a huge rip-off.

Rather disappointing. Duration of the tour was also much shorter than expected. I have been on other Viator tours, e.g. in Washington DC, where the standard of your guide was much higher.

We enjoyed the tour very much. Bad luck, it rained that night. In Shanghai its extremly difficult to get tickets for tours on a boat etc. So the second time we travelled to Shanghai I booked all tours already at home. I recommand that to all. Its really much easier this way.
