Admiral Cheng Ho Singapore Harbour Cruise

Singapore, Singapore

Choose between a morning or afternoon departure and join this fully narrated 2.5 hour Admiral Cheng Ho junk boat cruise for a fascinating insight into Singapore from the sea. Cruise up the Singapore river and admire the magnificent city skyline and pass the spot at which Raffles stepped ashore to find modern Singapore.

After making your way down to the Harbourfront Centre, you will pass the mouth of the Singapore River, near the spot at which Raffles stepped ashore to find modern Singapore. Behind us is the magnificent skyline of tall buildings, before us the eastern anchorage of the busiest port in the world. You will cruise pass a cluster of tropical island before stepping ashore at Kusu Island, (not available during the ninth lunar month). Continue cruising pass other palm - fringed islands, as your guide gives you a fascinating insight into a part of Singapore that can only be seen from the sea.

Admiral Cheng Ho holds an honorable place in Chinese history and visited part of the world as the emissary of the Emperor of China during the 15th century. An exact replica of a famous Imperior vessel of the Ming Dynasty, the Da Fu, M.v. Cheng Ho is nevertheless very modern in its comfort and its safety.

Morning Glory Cruise
Enjoy your morning cup of tea or coffee and light refreshments as you sail in one of the world's busiest ports, passing picturesque islands and multitude of ships. Stopover at Kusu island to see an ancient Chinese temple.

High Tea Cruise
The afternoon high tea cruise offers another unforgettable experience, setting sail at 3:00pm. Enjoy a wide selection of pastries and savories with your tea while you sail in the harbor. Stopover at Kusu Island to see our ancient Chinese Temple.

Dragon Cruise - Dragon Cruise category is the same cruise as the High Tea Cruise without the high tea, cruise only.

This is a bit hard to find. Get the MRT to marina bay and then get a taxi to harbour this is the easy way. The boat ride is very nice seeing the sights of singapore ad santosa you get a good view of all the new buildings going up. High tea is served below and has a good selction and plenty of food for all. We then made a stop at turtle island for about 40mins have a look around you will see turtles. Then you head back to the harbour. Overall a good afternoon.

Make sure you book for the high tea if that is what you want - I thought that's what we were having, and we were offered biscuits. However, trip was fantastic - really lovely afternoon

It was quite good but nothing really exciting and vibrant about it. It was a bit difficult to hear the commentary some times. The seats were rather hard. Actually fell asleep towards the end despite the hard seats as it was just sea to look at.

It was good and well organised. The only thing is that they should inform all customers for the high tea to be there at a certain time. when we got there a bit later all the curry puffs are gone. The music was too loud in the cabin because some customers put on their own music and they treated it like a disco and we wanted some peace and quiet.

The boat is an excellent replica and worth a trip on it. The islands dotted around look ed like small oases and would have been worth a visit. The only suggestion I would make is that the commentary was hard to hear.

Boat is in need of a major refurb. AV system barely works so you can't hear the commentary. Main destination (Kusu Island) is average, not that interesting. We were unlucky (on board with a major tour group) who took over the boat and made the experience much worse. Food and Coffee aka "High Tea" pretty poor standard, not a "high tea" by any definition. Save the little money this costs... not really worth it.

Good cruise if you are a ship spotter, but limited scenic views._br/_ AM light refreshments were adeqate rather than good

This cruise is extremely boring. The island they take you has a small temple and is interesting only if you have religious reasons to visit it. What is annoying is that we had to call to verify whether this tour was going or not; better customer service would have been for the tour operator to call us / send an e-mail to confirm.

We really enjoyed our afternoon tour w/high tea. I would definitely recommend it to couples/families going together for it's such a fun way to bond and just enjoy the nice breeze. For those who feel really hot you can opt to enjoy your tour inside their nicely air-conditioned ship We really love the night tea and snacks that came with it my daughter had fun havine her own "tea party" w/us. Btw, Kusu Island made my daughter's day.

Ho-hum! Nice cruise. Afternoon tea was disappointing - ok food but served on plastic plates and no drink options.

Collected from hotel on time and transported to wharf. Explained to us what was happening during the tour and then taken on board. Afternoon high tea was very nice. All food very fresh and lots of it. Cruise was pleasant with good commentary and once at the Kurus Island plenty of time to explore before returning. Thumbs up to Viator.

The second time that we have taken this harbour cruise and again it was relaxing, informative and very enjoyable. We highly recommend it. It is far superior to the 45 minute river cruise.

Wonderful trip, but you need to be sure you know where to start your tour if you;re not being collected from hotel. The directions are unclear and confusing. We almost missed embarkation because we were in wrong place and had to get a taxi to break all speed limits to get us to dock.

Was a great way to see Singapore from a different angle and the stop at Kusu island to see the turtles was also great. Getting to the port was a little tricky as the Marina South Pier is only new and our taxi driver was unclear as to how to get there. As we rushed to make the departure time, there was also confusion as to exchanging our internet booking printout with tickets to board the boat. It may have helped if the instructions were crystal clear. Otherwise, a worthwhile trip.

Having done the dinner cruise, it seemed a bit excessive to take a harbour cruise as well but we went an entirely different route in the daytime. We visited a small island with a Chinese temple - a peaceful haven in this busy place. This was a very good way to get an overview of the city.

The artwork on the boat itself was interesting. Afternoon tea was good and plentiful. The little island we visited was a paradise and the temple there was colorful and exotic. However, we very much regretted not having a hotel pick up for this tour and we missed not having a guide, especially to explain the temple to us. Seeing all the container ships in the harbour was eye-opening but not especially pretty.

Even though the weather was less than stellar, the boat had ample indoor and outdoor space. It's beautiful, be sure to check out all the detailing, and the high tea was delicious!

Excellent cruise and high tea. Kusu Temple was unable to be visited because of a month long festival being undertaken, no stops were allowed. I would have liked to have known this!

When in Singapore, you have got to try this cruise. It is a bit hard to find as there is some construction work near the MRT exit, but stick it out and you will have a pleasant surprise. We went on the afternoon high tea cruise, and it was excellent value and worth every penny. Would go next time if we are on holiday there again.
