Racing in Singapore has come a long way since it was set up in 1842 by a group of racing enthusiasts. The milestones it has reached through the years have been impressive, culminating in the Club's move to its exciting new home at Kranji in August 1999 as it seeks to achieve greater prominence in the international racing arena.

Built for more than $500 million, the 81.2 hectares racecourse has received a Recognition Award from the Philadelphia Chapter of the American Institute of Architects for its 'fun' and 'whimsical' design which successfully 'invites and welcomes' visitors. The Kranji racecourse ranks among the premier racecourses and boasts some 'firsts' like the El-Toro Zoysia grass track. Other unique features include the latest state-of-the-art technology such as the patron entry system, a glass-sided horsewalk, which goes through the grandstand and connects the parade ring to the racetracks.

Racing is conducted in the evening under spectacular floodlights on Fridays, and are held in the afternoons on Saturdays and Sundays. Your tour price includes admission to the air-conditioned Club Level at level 3 of the Grandstand that offers an excellent view of the racetrack, full-service bar and private betting counters.

Trip to the races was good. Very annoyed with Viator who did not advise that the time of the trip had altered. Confirmed 2 days before to find that trip changed from 5.30pm to 12.00 noon. Other trips organised which clashed so 3 days of trips had to be reorganised. They must have known that races would change for Good Friday but did not notify. No apology either.

picked up on time_br/_ when we asked how many people on the tour as we were looking forward to enjoying the night with a crowd was very disappointed when told that we were the only ones, I think it would of been nice to be given the option to change dates. Our tour guide said just you the trainer and the jockey..a joke in bad taste_br/_ We asked about the food situation and our tour guide said the food was fantastic restaurant standard ..Well that was a bit of a white lie, we found the food to be of very poor quality with very limited choice..eat before you go I recommend_br/_ The race track itself was fantastic and the viewing areas top class. sad that nothing came with it ie food, company therefore no atmosphere_br/_ from Judi and Bruce _br/_ aust

The service from Viator and the tour guide were excellent. However, the Turf Club lacked atmosphere and the staff were slack when it came to drink service.

The only disappointment with this tour was we had to leave before the last two races. The food at the race course is fantastic and very reasonably priced. The company should cater for the whole of the race meeting.

We had a great night. Our guide was very knowledgeable and very attentive. Spoke to some local Aussies a few days later, and they were members and did not get anywhere near the facilities we had. Would definitely recommend to anyone who loves horse racing or not. Bonus for the night was that we won.

For the two of us who could attend, it was great. Unfortunately we didn't read the fine print which said the tour was only for 18. Strange as this is not common elsewhere, as long as sub 18's don't bet. We're waiting on a refund for the three people who could not go.

The driver picked us up from the hotel as stated on our confirmation slip, he was punctual and very friendly. The journey to the Singapore Turf Club was comfortable. The driver gave us all the information we needed and personally took us to the seated areas. The betting system was explained to us clearly. At the end of the evening he directed us back to the car for the return journey. I would recommend Viator to all my friends and colleagues. Thank you for a lovely evening.
