Tall Ship Sunset Cruise

St Maarten, Netherlands Antilles

See the sun set over the magical waters of the Caribbean! Sip on a glass of champagne while the sun sets a romantic back drop taking you into an evening of fine food whilst sailing the seas on board a intriguing tall ship!

Prior to the cruise departure, you're invited to a 4:30pm dockside cocktail party where you'll enjoy drinks and the company of friendly people. Then, it's off to enjoy breathtaking coastal and ocean views!

Enjoy sipping champagne while the tall ship sails into the beautiful Caribbean sunset driven only by billowing square sails. Listen to the romantic sunset music while the crew pamper you with a full open bar, famous BBQ ribs, chicken and hor d'ouevres. The selection of finger food also includes french bread with brie and pear, vegetables and dip, cheese, olives and crackers.

Learn from the crew, and see first-hand how the great windjammers of yesterday were sailed. Take a turn at the wheel, sing a sea chantey and be a pirate for an evening.

The Sunset dinner cruise onboard Lord Sheffield was just what we were looking for. After looking at several different dinner cruises, we found that most offered dinner on board once the boat was back at dock or at a restaurant after the cruise._br/_ We were looking for dinner on the ocean while the sun was setting and Lord Sheffield did not dissappoint - Julian was our captain and was knowledgeable and gracious. Dinner, drinks, appies were abundant and even the music was perfect._br/_ I would recommend this cruise to anyone looking for a 'true' sunset dinner cruise. I wish I was going out there tonight!!

Not as advertised...no champagne....boat was being repaired as all guests arrived on time...two people working the boat were dirty, with dirty clothes, no champagne....asked us what drinks we wanted, then brought us what they wanted...captain owner was friendly enough, a lot on his mind though and working up to the last minute with grease on his hands etc ....sidekick was not so friendly...other people on board made it fun and being on the sea can't be beat...just don't expect a polished ship or crew...expect a rugged experience and you're okay!

Unfortunately, the coolest part about the trip was non-existent. The "tall ship" actually did not have any sails operating at all, except one, Although the crew were hospitable, the boat itself and the facilities were sort of "rinky dink", and the food was just ok. Although wey had a good time (we're generally not difficult people the please), it seemed quite overpriced and what was advertised was a far cry from what was actually delivered. I would not recommend this to other vacationers.

This trip was very nice a little crowded for the sitting space available The captain and crew were great, and the food was okay.

We had a great time. I think the only thing that could be nicer is more of a dinner. Chicken and ribs on a paper napkin are difficult to eat

If you would like a relaxing evening you can't go wrong! Take it all in stride and just let it work. The crew is very personable and friendly. Snacks they offer are just the thing! Nothing pretentious. If you favor a nice evening this is it. Enjoy!

Contrary to what prints out on the voucher shuttle service is not available, or at least not outside a very narrowly defined area. Be prepared to find your own transportation to the dock. If you are coming from Simpson Bay or Maho be prepared to battle severe traffic on the way.

This trip was simply breathtaking. Although it was not the best evening for a perfect sunset since the sky was not perfectly clear - it was still amazing. The ship was kind of old and not much room to sit, but it was OK. Delicious ribs. Great crew.
