Sydney, Australia

Visit Sydney Aquarium - Australia's No. 1 attraction! Nowhere else in the world will you find a larger collection of Australian aquatic life - over 11,500 animals call Sydney Aquarium their home. There is so much to discover about the underwater world - movement, color, beauty and intrigue.

Visit the newest exhibit at the Sydney Aquarium, the Mermaid Lagoon, home to the mystical dugongs. Sydney Aquarium is the only place in Australia where you can see these beautiful mammals up close. You'll find the Mermaid Lagoon is both entertaining and educational.

Sydney Aquarium has the world's largest Great Barrier Reef exhibit, highlighting the enormous variety of life in this habitat. Here you'll see clown fish dart amongst the waving tentacles of an anemone while vibrantly colored tangs and angelfish zip around the tank. Sleek tropical sharks and giant shark rays seem to move in time with the music and an enormous, bright blue, comical looking humpheaded wrasse may stop to check out aquarium visitors with his ever watchful eye.

Join one of the informative talks to learn more about the Dugongs or the Great Barrier Reef and in the afternoon watch the penguin colony lunch on tasty morsels. Due to the needs of the animals, all live feeding times are subject to change or cancellation, without prior notice.

Save over 20% on the single entry price by combining with an Attraction Pass allowing you to see the following attractions:

WILD LIFE Sydney. Located next door to the Sydney Aquarium , WILD LIFE Sydney is home to the largest variety of Australian flora and fauna. Pat a koala, watch the keepers feed the animals and come face to face with one of the largest crocodiles in captivity in the world.

Sydney Tower and OzTrek - Get a 360-degree bird's-eye view of Sydney from the top of Sydney Tower and enjoy a virtual simulated ride aboard OzTrek.

Oceanworld Manly- Come face-to-face with giant sharks and stingrays in a walk-through 110 meter long acrylic tunnel. You'll see a vast array of marine life and meet some of Australia's most deadliest animals!

Please note: You do not need to visit all the attractions in the one day. Entry for subsequent attractions is valid for one-month from the date of entry for the first attraction.

A little disappointed with the aquarium, many viewing windows were very dirty and the animals difficult to see as a result. The staff however were excellent.

This aquarium isn't as large or diverse as the National Aquarium in Baltimore MD (U.S). but makes up its lack of size with lengthy tunnels that wind through its three largest tanks, allowing sharks, Dugongs and other exotic fish to swim around the visitors. The only drawback is that it is less expensive to buy tickets for the Sydney Aquarium in Sydney using widely available 20% off coupons than it is to buy tickets in advance through Viator. Although Viator offers a "Skip the Line" pass, there were no lines when I visited.

I bought two attractions but I only was able to go only one due that the Wildlife was closed and I didnt have enough time to go to another attractions. Best advice is not to buy this atraction until you get there.

We highly recommend this. Just the right size, displays are beautiful, many have seats in front of the large tanks and symphonic music is played over head. The shark tanks with the tubes over heard are fabulous.

Having prepaid tickets was a huge time saver as we didn't have to wait in the long line for people purchasing tickets on the day. Aquarium was very busy, it being school holidays. Must say I was looking forward to getting out by the end. Wildlife World was a much more pleasant experience. The kangaroo and butterfly enclosures were a favourite for our kids. If you only have time or money to do one I'd recommend Wildlife World.

A fantastic day. The kids loved it and were kept captivated all day. It was quite busy, being school holidays. I highly recommend it. It was amazing going through the tunnels seeing these magnificent creatures. My best tip would be to book the tickets online. Not only was it cheaper, but I saved about an hour's wait in the queue. I was able to go straight to the prepaid tickets counter, and literally minutes later I was in. I couldn't imagine having to wait so long with the kids in tow.

Although it was extremely busy in the middle of Christmas school holidays, it was still a great day. The Great Barrier Reef section is amazing, and it was great not having to line up in the very long queue for admission, we only had a very short wait in the prepaid ticket line.

Best aquarium I've ever been to. The underwater tunnels were amazing and the sharks were massive. I would definitely recommend to anyone. Having a pre paid ticket was good because we didn't have to queue up and we saved a little bit of money!

The aquarium is fascinating and holds a wide array of Australian sealife including a huge shark tank that you can walk through. The best part was finally getting to see a platypus! They also have a great penguin exhibit that shouldn't be missed.

The Sydney Aquarium is a treat for adults and kids. It's a visual delight walking through the Perspex underwater tunnels and seeing 10-foot wide stingrays, dozens of different sharks and huge turtles swimming inches away. There is the greatest 'big screen' display ever, a tank so big it takes up an entire wall with thousands of colourful fish, rays and sharks circling endlessly - very therapeutic! Our family has been to the Sydney Aquarium many times and we're always amazed by something new each visit. Educational and awe-inspiring.

I really enjoyed this aquarium. It has a pretty cool natural seal exhibit that takes in real ocean water due to the aquarium's location at Darling Harbour. I particularly wanted to see the Great Barrier Reef exhibit and that was just as amazing as I was expecting. Being able to go below and see the sharks in the underground tunnels was pretty awesome too. Only takes a few hours - great thing to do in Sydney.
