Vancouver to Victoria and Butchart Gardens Tour by Bus

Cruise to Vancouver Island for a full day, small group guided tour and find your way through the capital city of British Columbia. Spend the day exploring Victoria including world-famous Butchart Gardens.

Your tour begins as you are picked up from your hotel and driven on a B.C. ferry for a 1.5-hour cruise to Vancouver Island. Upon arrival, you'll take a scenic drive through exclusive residential areas and parks on the way to downtown Victoria. You'll be given an overview of downtown Victoria and will then have free time to explore on your own.  Some places that you will have time to visit while in Victoria are: the Royal British Columbia Museum, Miniture World, the Bug Zoo or the IMAX Museum.

Before heading back to Vancouver, you'll have the opportunity to visit to the world-famous Butchart Gardens. The public area of the Butchart Gardens covers 55 acres (22 hectares) and is one of the world's premier floral show gardens.

Please note: You will have between 1.5 and 1.75 hours to explore Butchart Gardens. Your free time in downtown Victoria is between 2.5 and 3 hours.

wonderful trip. excellent , knowledgeable guide/driver Jason._br/_ Be prepared for lots of idle time due to nature of trip eg waiting for ferries etc. Dependant on day you go some museums will not be open. All round much enjoyed . gardens were outstanding.

Our full day trip starting from our doorstep at the hotel until we were dropped off at the hotel was wonderful. We had the best tour guide. She knew everything---lots of helpful hints during our tour. Plenty of info on the entire area of Vancouver and Victoria. Best tour guide ever. We were traveling with a senior citizen so she was able to accomodate our special request. Also, while in the city of Victoria she mapped out stuff to see and do which helped to plan our time. Can't say enough; very professional company. So glad we chose Viator. Well worth the money.

The tour to Victoria and Butchart Gardens was excellent. The tour guide was knowledgable and informative. The trip from Vancouver to Victoria was very interesting, the trip on the ferry was very different from what I am used to. All in all a great day.

We had a great time. The Butchart Gardens are beautiful. The trip was well worth the money. The bus driver was very nice._br/_ One suggestion, though: You might want to consider doing a two day tour, allowing more time at the Garden and in Victoria. I live in Phoenix, AZ and we have bus tours to the Grand Canyon and Sedona that are two day tours!

We had a great time due in large part to our tour guide, Will. He kept us informed about the sights, history of the area, told numerous stories and kept us off guard with his "humor". My wife and I really enjoyed our visit over to Vancouver Island. The driver picked us up promptly from our hotel and gave us a very good commentary throughout. The ferry trip was smooth and the meals on board were of a good standard. Both Victoria and Butchart Gardens were well worth the visit and we have plenty of photos to remind us of the great time we had there.

Our Vancouver to Victoria trip was great! Our tour guide Lia was very friendly and informative. The Butchart Gardens is awesome! Extra points for the free city sightseeing tour that we got in Vanouver for booking the other tour. We were travelling with our 20-month old son and I don't think we would have seen and been to all those places over a long weekend only if we did the touring ourselves. Thank you for providing the car seat for our son on your tours. This helped us a lot as we did not have to carry and install one of these bulky items in our tour vehicle, it's all set up for us when we got in. We definitely recommended these tours to our friends and family and we look forward to being in one of your trips again.

I would highly recommend taking the Viator trip to Victoria and Butchart Gardens. It is well worth every penny that you will spend on this one-day trip. You are picked up and returned to your hotel via bus and taken around the island on bus as well. Victoria and Butchart Gardens are both so beautiful, and worthwhile to see. You are given time in Victoria to sight see and eat lunch. While at Butchart Gardens, you have ample time to visit the gardens as well as check out their gift shop or stop and have a snack.

This long day out was truly excellent from start to finish! The Tour Guide was charming, knowledgeable and entertaining on the small tour bus and we were looked after and kept well informed throughout the day. Victoria on Vancouver Island is a picturesque city with lots to do and see. We would recommend the Maritime Museum, a small and well laid out museum. Butchart Gardens were "out of this world" with spectacular displays of flowers and plants and beautifully laid out. July was obviously a very good time of year to visit but our guide said that the visit is stunning at any time of year. The one and a half hour ferry trip was also interesting and it was worth buying a book (" What's that Island?")about the islands, so that you can try to identify each island as you pass it. This trip was well worth the money paid!

My only regret is that I wished I'd known that I could have booked this tour myself with Land 'N Sea in the first place and have avoided the extra booking charge for you to book it with them. I thought you were the provider. I had no idea until I had to call to confirm with Land 'N Sea and tried to get my free tour booked as well! We loved the tour to Victoria and Butchart Gardens. Maybe you should be more up front with your charges.

The tour guide was very knowledgeable and was able to lead us to excellent docents along the way. The ferry had an excellent lecture on the local ecology. According to our companions, every restaurant pointed out by the tour guide was excellent. We toured the Museum in Victoria and that was a good choice. The Butchart Gardens were the best we have seen anywhere in the world and we have traveled extensively. The dipping chicken on the ferry back is a good choice. The City Tour was equally excellent with another superb travel guide.

It was a very long day but well worth it. Our tour guide was excellent and very knowledgeable about all areas of the trip. We were disappointed that he wasn't due to take the trip we had booked for the following day. It was a holiday so there was lots happening in Victoria with children's marching bands and plenty of activity in the harbour. We would never have been able to achieve the same itinerary on our own so the trip was well worth the cost.
