If you love Italian food and wine, you will love this tour! You'll cross the picturesque countryside of the Vent Orientale to reach the vineyards of the Veneto and Friuli, and enjoy lunch and wine tastings. Traveling by minivan holding only eight passengers ensures you'll enjoy the benefits of a small group tour.

You will head into the hills of Corno di Rosazzo and Cividale to visit a top wine-maker/oenologist and his vineyard. Wine tastings include great whites and full-bodied reds: Cabernet, Merlot, Refosco, Friulano and Tocai.

Your tasty lunch is served in a tiny trattoria near the Slovenian border, featuring home-made seasonal specialties, Schioppettino wine and, of course, grappa (the local firewater)!

In the afternoon, you'll travel to the picturesque medieval town of Cividale del Friuli, founded by Julius Caesar in 50 B.C. Journey across the Devils Bridge for a spectacular panorama over the Natisone River, then enjoy a short walk around the historic center before driving back to Venice.

This was an awesome tour. At the winery Alan was very informative and fun! At lunch the food was divine. I would highly recommend this tour. My only regret is not buying more wine to bring home.

This was by far the worst tour of our trip. Our party of 4 people was joined by one other lady, who had booked a Medievil Towns tour, so she was not even on the tour. The guide did not tell us anything about the town we visited, just dropped us off, said "there is a church over there, and I will meet you back here in 25 minutes". The Winery was not informed that we were coming and they did not have anyone who spoke English to give us a tour, and the restaurant was a very basic meal. It was definitely not worth 200AUD per person and I would suggest booking a tour in Tuscany where they seem to make more of an effort.

Lunch was excellent. Winery has white wine mainly. It was approx 2 hours in the car. Great trip.

Excellent tour. We were only two couples in our group and had our excellent guide Claudio. Splendid Veneto experience. Good wine tasting and superb lunch. Just fantastic!

The other couples on this tour were great and we had so much fun on this trip. Actually it was one of the highlights of us spending a week in Venice. Don't pass this one up!

The guide was wonderful, and the vineyard was beyond all expectation. It was quite quaint, and the personal touches were great!
