Venice Gondola Ride and Serenade

Venice, Italy

Share a gondola with other travelers along the canals of Venice and be serenaded as your group of gondolas glide along the Grand Canal. One of the gondoliers will play music and sing songs throughout the 35-minute ride. Great value for money! Only a gondola ride can capture the magic of Venice.

You'll be captivated by the glamor and elegance of Venice and its magnificent palaces and churches lining the Grand Canal as you glide along in an authentic gondola.

Each gondola holds maximum 6 passengers. There are approx. 10 gondolas per tour. The musician will board one of the gondolas to perform throughout the trip. Gondola serenades on the canals of Venice regularly sell out weeks in advance. Book ahead of time to avoid disappointment.

Excellent, worth the $, mooring site right on main canal at water bus stop giglio next to hotel Gritti (under construction) have to walk around back of hotel from boat bus stop and then back to canal to get to gondola, quick walk. Excellent tour of main canal as well as back secret water alleys, singer and accordian a bonus.

One must have a gondola ride while visiting Venice! There were about five gondolas that went out together, with two musicians in the middle gondola. The musicians were talented and the music beautiful! This tour isn't personal and intimate, but is the best way to have the experience while keeping the cost down - highly recommend!

The tour is nice and, although you have to share a gondola, gives you the full flavor of a standalone gondola tour, albeit for a completely different price. The only downside is that the area chosen by the gondoliers’ might not be the best in terms of “vistas”… All in all this is a well organized program with a good value for money proposal. If I go back to Venice with other family members or with children I would choose this tour again!

The Gondola ride and serenade was one of the many highlights of Venice. The singer was of exceptional quality, his operatic voice carried through the canals. would highly recommend.

It was fun to go on this Gondola ride but be aware that there are six people per boat that sails along side approx 6 other gondola's and the person serenading was only on one of the boats (not ours). That said, the gondolas are close to each other and the singing was great. The ride itself was also good. In summary its fun but not exactly romantic.

At the time mentioned, there was noon over there. Tour started 15-20 minutes later. We were almost 7 gondolas and hard to hear songs.

Although Gondola rides are plentiful in Venice, setting this up in advance allowed to take advantage of sharing a boat, for a lower price. We also had a serenade for the group of boats which traveled together! Since this was not a "romantic" trip for us, but rather a sightseeing adventure, it was perfectly fine to share the boat with "strangers" in order to have a better price!

AWFUL!!! Do not waist your money! It was about 8 boats all together with one boat serenading all of us. We just did a big circle in the canel. Couldn't even sit together with my husband. This was a rip off!!

As a family of 4, I was disapointed that we had no option but to be hurredly bundled at the last minute into a Shared Gondola, despite arriving half an hour earlier than advised. The Gondaliers were unable to communicate with any waiting Tourists in English. As it was out of Season there were many other Gondola's throughout Venice in more accessible locations available and vying for business at a cheaper price. A highlight was the Serenade from one of the other boats in the group of 3.

The gondola ride was very good except for the Gondolier who spent the whole time chatting on his mobile phone to the extent he lost the group. The chatter was a distraction from the serenade also which was a shame for the ride was very interesting.

Lovely...there were 3 gondolas and my two teen sons and I were lucky to be in the gondola with the singer and the accordion player...the other two gondolas were by our side the whole time, so they could listening to the music. It was very beautiful! The singer was great . It was totally worth it!

It's 6 pax to a gondola, lasted 30 min and I didn't even get to sit next to my spouse (it was our honeymoon) so it was not as romantic as I wanted it to be. The onboard singer was superb and probably earned this review one more star than it deserves.

This would be a great romantic lil ride if there was only two people in the boat or they upgraded the seating. But, it isn't and wasn't. They put six people in each boat - only two get actual comfy seats - the other four are on uncomfortable benches and not quite next to each other. We were the first to get there but there is no order and got stuck with a bench. The gondoliers were anything but friendly - and then wanted tips. Not so great Viator.

It was really fun to go on this Gondola ride. A couple of quick things to note is that there are 6 people per boat (it's a shared boat) and the person serenading was only on one of the boats (not ours). That said, they park the gondolas next to each other, so it really doesn't matter on which boat the singer is on. The views were great, the singing was great, the experience was awesome. You can't go to Venice and not go on a gondola ride. This was definitely worth it. I highly recommend this.

We expected the gondola ride to be more personal. Three gondolas full and we sat in the grand canal and listened to a gentleman sing in one while the other two gentlemen manning the oars talked back and forth like they were bored. After a couple of songs we went through a couple of water ways and that part was nice.

Thoroughly enjoyed our trip, even though our "gondoa" man was told off for being on his mobile phone and we were straggling at the back. Would recommend and do this one again.

This was a great time! Went through the canals for 30 mins with about 6 other gondolas of ppl with a serenade and accordian player! This is a must-do when visiting venice, and much more cost effective than the private gondola ride with serenade. Went with 4 ppl and we got our own gondola although the singer was on a different gondola.

We were a party of five and had our own gondola so I don't know if sharing might feel a little different. We were so happy to have planned this for our first evening in Venice. What a wonderful way to begin our stay here. The singer and musician were so talented and set the tone for the entire trip. It was lovely venturing through the narrow canals and seeing the structures that make this city so unique. Been here before and bypassed the gondola ride thinking it a little pricey and cliche. Yes, it's a little pricey and definitely cliche, but we each found this to be a fun, relaxing experience that we were happy not to have missed.

This was a fabulous event! The last time I booked this through a different company, all we did was float in one spot for about 20 minutes. This company does it right! We were taken through several canals, past the Rialto Bridge, and had a wonderful serenade by excellent musicians! You can also bring your own bottle of wine to enjoy as you float through the most romantic city in Italy!

The gondola ride thru the canal with the accordian and opera singer was a highlight of our visit to Venice. Realize that several gondolas "share" the music but it is still a magical moment. Well worth the price.

After a shaky start with a whole crowd of us facing the gondoliers and gondolas and not knowing when or if we were going to get on, at the last minute at the assigned time we set off and had a truly memorable trip down the Grand Canal of Venice. My advice, hang in there customers, the attitude of the gondoliers is well worth waiting for the trip. Besides how fit must they have to be to do that work out every hour. Well done guys. Loved it. Highlight of Venice actually
