From December to early January, tens of thousands of colored lights are combined with evergreen swags and wreaths of holly and winter berries to line Butchart Gardens' walkways and lamp posts. Our driver was punctual, friendly, entertaining and knowledgeable. The gardens were amazing. I'd seen photos that made the displays look a bit garish but in person, it is truly magical. The lights are cleverly displayed and enhance the garden beautifully. The '12 days of Christmas' was a fun addition and kids really seemed to enjoy looking for the next 'day'. Hot bev were available to purchase so wandering the grounds with spiced cider was lovely. The time provided was more than enough and the bus was available to take us back at the time promised. I would highly recommend this tour to everyone.

Although I booked the noon pick-up for the Butchart Gardens, I was able to get on an earlier bus. It's nice that they are flexible with the time, as it makes it very convenient for the traveler. During the bus trip to the Gardens, the driver gives you some history and interesting facts regarding Victoria and the Butchart Gardens. That is the "tour" portion.

Beautiful gardens with a sweet history. I would suggest staying the evening when a band is playing to soak up the ambiance of the garden.

We tied this tour in with a seaplane flight from Vancouver as we only had a day to visit the island. The tour was extremely good with just the right amount of time allowed at Butchart Gardens to take in all beauty of the scenery there. A highly recommended tour that can be done on a day visit from Vancouver.

While it is worthwhile to visit the gardens, the time we were alloted was not enough. We barely had over an hour, and to do it justice would have required at least twice as long. There were not many options, but our driver did let us know what was available.

We were concerned about making our 200 pm tour to Butchart Gardens because we were taking the 1215 ferry from Port Angeles and had to first stow our luggage at our hotel. We couldn't have been more pleased when we were greeted upon arrival in Victoria by reps who took our luggage to our hotel and pointed us to a bus that would take us to the starting point for our tour. The Gardens were magnificent and the whole experience was wonderful.

Simply the tour is not long enough! The Gardens were spectacular and we moved at a good pace only pausing for pictures. However we did not get to the Mediterranean garden or to the gift shop which was very disappointing. To spend that much time on the bus and not even been able to make it around the grounds really bothered me. Extend the tour by an hour or at the very least a half hour.

Our family enjoyed the trip to the Butchart Gardens. They always are working to keep the plants healthy with a few in bloom. It was nice to have tickets prior to our trip. Nice for those who like to plan ahead.
