The weather conditions were not good so the time was changed to ensure maximum safety, and passengers were compensated with free drinks on board and discount for future travel. The ride was rocky, and crew were excellent in managing the sea sickness and comfort of passengers. Clean, comfortable vessel. I'd recommend this service highly.

My first and last time ever taking this ferry. I had booked a month in advance to take the ferry on Boxing Day. They changed the sailing time from 1700 to 1400. I received no notification. I had to call into them in order to learn this. I was 3.5 hours north of Victoria so this change of 3 hours was a huge problem. Considering this was Christmas and travelling was key to being with family during this time, this change and the way it was handled was pretty poor in my opinion. I had to drive like a maniac and incur an extra $75 to take a taxi from the airport to the ferry terminal. So I busted my hump to get there on time, and then they decide to delay the ferry departure because the "weather system is moving slower than they thought." So then yet another phone call to the people picking me up in Seattle to change the time yet again. I understand the desire to allow more 1700 people to get there on time, but what about the people that busted their hump and spent $$$ to get there on time? It just seemed that everyone lost they way it was handled.

Trip was fine, except more food and more food choices should be made available.

someone screwed up our reservations and even though there was much communication between Viator and I as to the confirmation date and various email etc.. saying that we were on the ferry had I not called 48 hour prior to departure We may not hve made it to seattle at all.Took 2 days and much determanation to solve problem. When we finally did get on it was ok although we were reminded many times how full the ferry wes and that there was a waiting list etc..

WE had a lovely trip on the Victoria Clipper. Everything was very clean and everyone did a great job both getting us on the ferry and off and even had a place to store our luggage when we arrived in Seattle. I would definitely use this service again.

The ferry was a great way to make the trip from Canada to the US, taking me literally door to door from the centre of Victoria to downtown Seattle. The service on the ferry was good considering the large number of travellers. The only downside was the rather cramped space for getting through customs in Victoria which made queuing a bit tedious.

The trip was fast and efficient, but wished I had known to get there early so I could have had a window seat. It was like going through an airport with baggage check and loading.

The Victoria Clipper was fast and convenient. The seating is a little cramped, especially since the trip was sold out. The boarding process in Victoria was a bit of a zoo. The voucher/boarding pass/luggage check process was not very clear in the Viator materials and the process was not made very clear upon arrival at the embarkation terminal. The line to exchange vouchers for boarding passes was inexplicably slow, with agents appearing to take breaks while lots of people stood in line and the departure time drew near. Overall, a little below expectations, but still an option I'd likely choose again.

Comfortable fast trip, not too crowded, and access to an external view via a small open air deck at the stern. The signage at the terminal in Victoria could be improved - fortunately there weren't many opassengers when we arrived about an hour in advance, so it was easy to ask staff for instructions. I accumulated four different reference numbers, and even so had difficulty in getting them accepted when I replied to confirm, because the one which was needed wasn't yet in the system when I sent my message.

The boarding process was ridiculous. If you sign up and buy a ticket early you need to make sure to get your boarding pass or you will be last and won't be able to find seats together. The service was good and the ride smooth. The loading and unloading is a mess and needs to be better run - it is very disorganized. I would rather take the sea plane than the ferry again.

It was all good, except for the long queues in a stuffy building - in spite of a lovely, cool day in Victoria. The staff were helpful and very friendly._br/_ On arrival in Seattle - the wait for our luggage and even longer queues - almost made us miss our cruise to Alaska! That was a less than fun experience! _br/_ So, the 3 star rating I gave - is especially, because of the cumbersome disembarking experience!

Our trip was great. Quite smooth inspite of the potential for rough waters. We had imagined being able to have more of a meal, but otherwise a wonderful way to get to Seattle from Victoria. Thanks!

The Victoria end of this round trip was much more comfortable than the Seattle end. For one thing, we got to sit down and wait to board, versus standing for an hour in Seattle. Also, the water was choppy at first, then smoothed out--easier on the stomach.

Our family were really looking forward to the catamaran trip between Victoria and Seattle but unfortunately the first half of the crossing was very rough. The staff did their best to make us feel at ease including selling seasickness pills before we departed but there was no escaping the fact that this was not a fun experience.
