Buses arrive at each stop once every hour (according to the season) between 10:00am and 4:30pm. At the stops State Opera and Prater (route crossing points) - the bus will stop with double frequency. Commentaries are in German and English. It's easy and convenient. The ideal way to explore Vienna!

We were hoping for a tour of the ruins, but we drove right by. We spent too much time at the diamond factory, though it was a nice stop. Our guide was a chatter box and we learned a great deal from her about the towns and sites along the way, it's always a great thing to have someone like that. The lunch location and meal was fabulous! When the river boat isn't running, the tour could benefit from a stop at another something historic. Maybe even increase the time line a bit. Over all, I did enjoy the trip.

Just the right way to start visiting Vienna, particularly on such a cold, windy and snowy day. It enabled us to see and then visit the places we had planned for. Helpful staff and a good commentary.

All interesting sites have stops but the problem is buses are very limited, 1 per hour and other lines are 1 per 2 hours. We had to wait a very long time under the very cold weather. But overall, good!

This was a good way to get an overview of the city, especially since I wanted to visit Schonbrunn Palace, which isn't within walking distance. The audio guide was pretty decent. The only thing to be mindful of is that there are fewer buses that run in the winter, so do plan your time carefully.

I asked the rep at the opera which bus was the green route.He very curtly told me there was no route yet-no buses till 12 noon. He treated every person who had a query in the same rude, curt manner. I decided to travel by other means.

Whenever I travel a place for a short visit, I take the city tour on my first day. That helps me with the general orientation and allows me to decide where should I focus on my other days. The Viator in Vienna offered me 3 different lines which led me to all the farther "must visit sites" through some "enough to see from the bus" sites. The buses are new and well equipped and the explanations are fare. The timetable is also very convenient and the Hop on Hop off worked perfect for us. (btw I travelled with my 80 years old mother). I definitely recommend the tour for a short time visitors.

Tour was OK. Wished I would have done 2 day tour since there was too many sightseeing opportunities for only one day. Tour stopped running early so be cautious if you are counting on a late pickup.

Was a nice way to see the center city and get to the places we wanted to explore in depth. The agent at the opera was totallly unable or unwilling to give us information on the Vienna Boys Choir trip that we had also booked. We were a little disappointed that the Choir trip did not include a return to our pickup point.

The Hop on Hop off tour suited my requirements quite well. We were pleased that we managed to check out the important tourist spots via this tour. I did want the bus trip a bit longer. the last bus on the blue line started at 6 pm. An additional hour would have been better. Any tourist can only manage to go through at most 2 of the the 3 lines.

Disappointing._br/_ I arrived 5 mins before the bus was due to arrive. The queue was obviously to long for one bus to carry. 10am was the scheduled time for the bus arrival - obviously there is trhe possibility of traffic issues and the bus could be late. 10.25 the bus arrived, and of course not everyone could get on. I complained to one of the people working with the buses and he said that there were 2 extra buses added - where were they I wondered. It was very hot indeed, nowhere to shelter from the sun, just stand in a line. the same fellow working there said I could always walk instead! He was very rude, and not prepared to accept critisism. I didn't bother with the hop-n-hopoff system after that.

Great for a quick orientation if one is short for time. The buses ranged in quality - the open top buses were much noisier which made it more difficult to hear the audio commentary through the headphones. The buses leave very promptly and fill up early, so be at the designated spot at least 10 minutes before the pick up time.
