We regretted taking our first tour at 2pm, but did take full advantage of our 2 day booking. It would have been preferable to start early in the morning. Unfortunately we had some delays in waiting for buses which caused some frustrations for places on the buses.

The 48 hour hop on hop off was great for our family. After 3 days of walking the Mall sites, we were able to see some of the sites not on the mall like Arlington, Georgetown, and the National Cathedral. We were also able to combine walking and hopping to maximize our time and our kids (12 and 10) cooperation with all of the sightseeing. We would recommend this tour.

We enjoyed your tour and our ability to get on and off of the buses to see our sights. Courteous and informative. Only suggestion would be for the buses to have which color route that they are a part of for the clients to readily see. One of our days we missed the last bus and another bus in the area brought us back to our final destination. Thank You

Definitely the best way to see WAshington DC! I was a solo traveller doing a 5 day city break and obviously wanted to see everything! I got the 48 hr ticket and it meant that over 2 days I went all over the city and saw all the things I wanted. I used it as my only form of transport which was made easy by the different tour routes meeting at places so you could change routes. I visited in December and despite being cold on the open deck it was definately a great way to see stuff and take awesome pics. The downstairs of the bus was overcrowded by people wanting to stay in the warm, but I didn't understand doing a tour that you couldn't really see everything that you can see from upstairs._br/_ My only 'negative' complaint was that I went on the yellow route to the Cathedral I had to wait almost an hour for the bus to come collect me - which wasn't fun in the cold! But a minor complaint._br/_ I recommend to anyone wanting to see all of DC without worrying about public transport.

good value for money and worth buying the tickets before you go as cheaper. It covers all the parts of Washingotn that you need. Only thing the stops are not sign posted due to DC law so you hope you are waiting in the correct place. The maps are fairly clear.

Three routes didn't interlink very well.We thought the buses ran until 6pm but they stopped at 5pm which seemed ridiculously early. On our second day the first bus was over half an hour late arriving. After a few stops the driver announced he was changing his route to make up time and we had to get off his bus and get on the next bus behind to get to Georgetown, Some of the drviers did not seem to drive well - very jerky when stopping - throwing people around. Not very impressed overall. Would have been much cheaper to use local metro trains / buses.

It was very nice overall. The 2-day hoho is a value. Perhaps more hotel pickup points would make it better.

The Hop-on, Hop-off Tour was great. I think it is a great way to get to see the main tourist places. The NYC double buses have a commentator as well and we found them to be always so helpful if you needed some extra directions..thank you, we had a ball!!

The Tour, spread over 2 days enhanced our limited time in Washington D.C. allowing us to visit all the "Must See" Sites. All the drivers we experienced were very helpful and courteous. Visiting towards the end of September meant there were always plenty of seats available

I was very disappointed with your web site. TRhe hop on and off bus would not accept our voucher for TWO days, only one. We had to pay AGAIN for the second day. I really think this is false advertising!!!!

The perfect way to cover a lot of area in the city quickly. The buses run as regularly as clock work and the staff very friendly and helpful. We would highly recommend pre buying your tickets and using this inexpensive means of travel around DC. (taxis are more expensive here..!) It was so nice to get 2 days useage for the price of a one day ticket. Thank you Viator.

Must have struck the two wettest days in Washington DC. Buses broke down and as international visitors we were amazed to see that a paramedic vehicle turned up at one collection point looking for a bus that had made an emergency call, they couldn't find them.

I have used hop-on-hop off tour buses in London, Paris, bristol, New York and Philadelphia and found them useful and worth for the monsy, My washington experience was worst of all, stops at most places are not well marked, some of the stops are too far and loops do not cover main areas on interest in proper manner and despite paying a hefty amount you have to walk much to get the buses and the desired attractions. Buses claim service till 6 pm but practically you wont find them after 5.20 pm, overall this service badly needs some serious review and overhaul.

It was good for starters to see all the places worth visiting in Washington DC and the tour operators could have a complete empty bus to start with for new tourists who join from Union station. But overall the bus is a very good way to get a complete view of all the places you intend to visit later.

Finding the stops was very confusing. When I rang the number provided they assured me a stop was on a street but we searched high and low on that street and there was not a stop to be found! There were also 2 different red open top buses so this added to the confusion. Once we got on the bus however it was fine but initially very difficult to find.

Its worth taking this tour to get an initial feel for the place. We did the full tour first, then worked out where we would go and decided if we would walk between destinations, or hop back on the bus and use it to travel to points too far to walk to. Staff were friendly and helpful, although some of the stops could have been more clearly marked

Due to the volume of traffic the trip took far too long to get anywhere especially when doing the hop on hop off. Buses were infrequent and did not run late enough.

It was the worst tour I've ever been on. Taped recordings describe the sights, but aren't coordinated with location on tour, so "ahead and to your right" was often times 2 blocks behind or 4 blocks ahead. It was nearly impossible to figure out.

Great trip and fun. ain reason I am not giving it 5 stars: it is a recorded commentary and was off at times, so a bit confusing since I was not familiar with many of the landmarks. Loved the ability to jump off and on and that it was a 2 day pass.
