Your tour begins with a 30-minute training session to learn the basics of maneuvering the Segway scooter. Once under way, visit Washington D.C. highlights, including: the U.S. Capitol Building, the White House, the National Museum of Natural History, Ford's Theater, the National Air and Space Museum, the Washington Monument, and many more!

Your tour guide also takes you past the National Gallery of Art, the National Museum of American History, and the U.S. Navy Memorial. Throughout the tour, the guide provides both the history and stories surrounding the sites and makes sure plenty of photo opportunities are available.

What a great experience. You cover so much more ground on a Segway than walking and much better than being on a bus. Not to mention that being on a segway is a lot of fun. Young guides were very energetic. I would do it again and will always look for Segway tours when in a new city

The tour was great fun - well organised and informative without being overburdening! I felt a little vulnerable on the Segways as the night closed in so lights would be a good investment for the tour - but the monuments were spectacular in the dark. The company were great rescheduling our tour which was somewhat messed up courtesy of hurricane Irene!

Excellent way to see the city this tour was excellent the seg ways are easy to use and don't worry if you have never used one before you have a trainning session before you set off. We picked the 6pm tour it lasted three hours and it was dark when we returned but seeing the city at night we lovely. Our tour guide was funny and he pointed out all the main sights of the city. I would do this tour again it was the best tour we did.

So much fun! Rory is the best guide - we went for miles and saw so much - best way to introduce yourself to the main sights of DC. Be warned, it is hard on your calves and feet - I got off quite a bit to stretch. But once you have mastered the Segway, it is THE only way to go! I would suggest the night tour at the moment because daytime is just too hot in DC now. Thoroughly recommended tour, such fun, something really different :)

Best thing that we did the whole trip. It was incredible. You could get much closer on a Segway than in a tour bus. It was so much fun. I was a bit afraid that at 51, I could not learn how to ride but it was really easy. I would tell everyone to do it.

I would recommend the Segway tour to everyone going to DC. Our guide, Sam, was wonderful and the trip heaps of fun. Sam had lots of info about DC, which was very handy as there is no visitors information centre in Washington at the moment.

What a blast! I highly recommend this tour. The Segway is easy to ride (takes 15 minutes or so to get used to it) and is a great way to experience the Mall and all the monuments. The tour guides are informative and fun, and generally concerned about their guests. The night tour was especially cool, as we ended with the Lincoln Memorial and the WWII memorial, two of the most beautiful monuments when lit at night. One piece of advice: wear comfortable shoes. Although you're not walking, you are still on your feet the whole time, and using your legs to balance. A little extra cushion will go a long way towards making your evening more enjoyable (you'll be wearing a goofy helmet anyway, so no need to be concerned with fashionable footwear...). This is a great way to cover a lot of ground in a relatively short amount of time, all while being the envy of fellow tourists making the long treks on foot. Take the tour!

This was so fun! I did miss the Jefferson Monument because the street was under construction. Also it starts a little too early in the summer. We saw very little lit up.

It was so nice riding the segway in the evening, we were very pleased with the important places in town that we stopped to see, with time to walk and take pictures. LOADS never been on segways before and you soon realise this is the only way to see a city. we were a little bit shaky at first but soon got into the swing of them. whizzing past everyone on foot and people taking just as many photos of you as you taking of the sights. Washington is big, but you fly through the streets on these segways. we took the tour at night, which was a great idea as it was boiling hot in the day and we would have got burnt to death being out in the open. Although the company did provide sunscreen if you'd forgotton yours. but at night we saw the sights lit up and got a great insight into where everything was to see it on foot the next day. 4 hours seemed more like 1, we really enjoyed this and are looking out for more segway tours of other cities to do.

This should be an essential part of everyones first evening in DC! The only disappointment is that it focuses on the east and central parts of the National Mall and not the Lincoln Memorial end. Segway-ing around the outside of the Capitol building is unbelievable!

The guys and gals at the tour operator were absolutely awesome. What a wonderful way to see Washington, especially at night. The guide was wonderful, had us trained on how to use our Segways in no time flat, and we had never ever been near one of these machines before. It was cold, but we were having too much fun to notice. The guide just kept the information coming, and we laughed and laughed. If you have just a little bit of adventure in you, this is a must do tour night or day. The Segways are very easy to handle, and you really save on the shoe leather.

The Segway tour was a fun way to hit the tourist highlights of Washington DC. We went early on our visit and were able to tour the sites more in depth the following day. The Segway tour helped us find the places we wanted to visit. Only drawback--our guide was new to the city and did not have much info beyond the basic guidebooks. Night tour was great, no traffic. Wish we could get closer to the monuments at the Mall, but Segways are not allowed. A fun and easy way to get around the city.

I would recommend this tour to anyone visiting the DC area. We did the evening tour, and it made it easy to get down the sidewalks as it is less crowded in the evening. We had an incredible guide. We had a great time. The Segway is a little more dangerous than portrayed by the company. You can get hurt and damage the Segway. You must give a $500.00 dollar deposit prior to going out on the tour in case the Segway is damaged. I gave my credit card and it was charged 500.00. At the end of the tour, I was given a credit card slip stating void in the amount of 00.00 dollars. I didn't think this was appropriate. A woman running the tour became aggressive when I questioned the company policy. I checked with my credit card company after I returned home. There was no charge to my account. Overall the experience was positive. It is better to go at night because there are fewer people on the street.
