If you are a fan of Lord of the Rings, this is the best tour for you. We were taken to different scence to expose the locations of the movie and how they were used for the movie. We were also told some interesting stories on movie stars.

This trip was well worth the time and I felt it was reasonably priced. Our guide, Craig was prepared and informative. At most of our stops the sets and infrastructure were no longer there, but our guide had pictures and landmarks to make it easy to relate to. A great tour and a good way to see some of Wellington and some of the New Zealand countryside as well. My only disappointment was I thought I'd see the Shire which I didn't realize was much further North and was not part of this tour.

Our tour guide was GREAT! He was really into the film, the locations, the camera tricks, information galore! Our 4 hour tour lasted 5.5 hours because he was so excited which we didn't mind at all. Unfortunately, I don't remember his name but he is married to a Japanese woman.

It was raining but the tour guide came on time. We were only 3 people so there was good interaction with the tour guide. In general the tour was satisfactory and I would recommend it.

Not a lot of the sets are left, but small group size just us 2 and typical beautiful scenery, so a good way to see Wellington.

The guide from Wellington Rover Tours was excellent! She was enthusiastic, engaging and very informative. Her knowledge of the subject was amazing!
