This tour shows you the most interesting sights of Zurich and its surroundings! Start with a guided city tour of Zurich which shows you the commercial center, a section of the Old Town, Fraumuenster Church with its famous Chagall windows, historical Limmatquai and the university district. Drive along the Hoehenstrasse which offers spectacular views into the Alps, we then drive to Rapperswil which is named the 'City of Roses'. The charming little town of Rapperswil offers unique attractions for visitors - the Rose Gardens, the Castle, the deer park on the Lindenhof and the picturesque Old Town.

After a guided orientation tour and some time at leisure in Rapperswil, enjoy a 2-hour cruise on the Lake of Zurich (unescorted). There is a restaurant on board for your convenience. First possible boat back is scheduled to arrive at 3:15pm at Zurich Buerkliplatz Pier.

Between November and March there are no boats operating, so you return to Zurich by modern train 'Gold Coast Express' along the romantic road that follows the lake-shore.

Very nice, but would have liked to know more about the "Liechtenstein top-up" beforehand as the boat cruise is rather long, especially feels long when it's raining

Would recommend this as an initial overview to the city and then go back and see sights more in depth. Tour guide was pleasant but a bit 'scatter-brained"! :-) Trip back on Lake Zurich quite nice. Pack your own lunch in advance and weather permitting enjoy by the shores of Lake Zurich or on the boat trip back.

the tour was far below our expectations. it was very disappointing as it was a just a bus ride around zurich less than half hour.! there was no chance to take pictures also in zurich..its not worth.! i prefer to do zurich on your own and book the tours for outside zurich. I advise not to book this tour.

Great small taste of Zurich- but it was limited, as is expected from a bus cannot do Zurich truly without a walking tour. The trip to Rapperswil and the boat ride back in itself was worth it. Rapperswil was absolutely stunning though- beautiful town and rose gardens.

My wife and I booked this trip and the Heidiland tour for two separate days, not realising that the Great Tour of Zurich also comprises the first couple of hours of the Heidiland tour. We were only visiting Switzerland for four days and did not want to waste time doing the same tour twice. Consequently we only did the Heidiland tour, which included this tour, and forfeited our booking on the Great Tour of Zurich as no refund or alternative tours were available. Other travellers need to be careful not to make the same mistake. The tour was ok but I'd like to have seen a bit more of Zurich. The highlight was Rapperswil which was very picturesque.

Not much to see, not very organised. Very short and didn't learn very much but ok while it lasted. Just went round Zurich on a bus for a while and then had to get a train back.

The tour was not as advertised. It turned out to be a cursory 35 minute bus trip around Zurich itself, followed by a 30 minute bus ride to Rapperswill and being handed a train ticket to get back on our own. What we did was OK, but it sure wasn't what we thought we paid for.
