USD $47.00

Van Gogh Museum Entrance Ticket and Amsterdam Hop-On Hop-Off Boat Day Pass

Amsterdam, Netherlands

Combine admission to the Van Gogh Museum with a 24- or 48-hour hop-on hop-off boat pass, and you've got the best of Amsterdam covered. Explore the extensive collection of famous works such as ‘Sunflowers’ at the Van Gogh Museum, and see major landmarks including the Rijksmuseum and the Anne Frank House as you cruise Amsterdam’s scenic waterways with your hop-on hop-off Canal Bus day pass. Get off at any of the 7 to 9 stops (depending on the season) to explore further.

With the largest collection of paintings by Vincent Van Gogh in the world -- including such famous works as Sunflowers, The Bedroom and several self-portraits -- the Van Gogh Museum is a must-do for visitors to Amsterdam. The museum allows you to track Van Gogh's creative development and compare his paintings to works by his 19th-century contemporaries.

Reach other major sights in Amsterdam with your hop-on hop-off boat pass. Cruise Amsterdam’s historic canals, listening to onboard commentary available in six different languages. Hop on and off as often as you like at any of 7 to 9 stops (depending on the season) located near top Amsterdam attractions such as the Rijksmuseum, the Anne Frank House and the Albert Cuyp Market. Your pass is valid for 24 hours or 48 hours, allowing you to sightsee at your own pace.

The boats operate a regular service along two routes: the Blue Line and the Orange Line.

The boat pass was excellent and we used it a constantly. It is good when you are really tired as you can carry on sight seeing without having to walk. The only thing we found disappointing was the ticket for the Van Gogh Museum. Our timed ticket was for 4.30 and the museum closes at 6.00 so did not give us enough time. However if we hadn't booked this trip we would not have been able to get in as the entrances were completely sold out at the door. The museum is wonderful and you are able to get so close to his paintings.

Unfortunately one of the things we most wanted to do was tour the Van Gogh Museum. When we arrived to exchange our vouchers for the boat tour and museum entrance we were told that there were no slots available for the museum on our scheduled day. It was 10:00. This disappointment effected our entire last day in Amsterdam. The agent was very nice and offered other museum tickets in exchange but it was not the same experience we had hoped and planned for.

The canal bus is an amazing way to see this beautiful city. I give it 5 stars. I am giving the tour company ZERO stars for the Van Gogh portion of the package. When I stopped into the tour office to collect my boat tickets, I was told that the Van Gogh Museum was sold out for the day. They could not give me a time slot until 3 days later...AFTER I already would have left Amsterdam. Suggestion: Don't sell package deals unless you can learn how to make reservations for your customers!

Found tour office acrossed from Central Station, next to Victoria HotEl. Got on and off several times during our 2 day trip. The Van Gogh ticket saved us from standing in a long line for tickets.

I had purchased this tour because I had a limited amount of time in Amsterdam-only 2 days. I purchased my ticket for March 19th and after exchanging my voucher for the canal cruise and skip the line Van Gogh museum tickets, I went to the museum and their ticket counter across the street from the museum and all the ushers that work around the line told me that they do not honor skip the line passes anymore. I was on the phone at least 30 minutes overseas with Viator and observed a very long line which I was told by several ushers I would have to get in. One of the ushers said they were in transition and they were phasing out the skip the line tour and this had been observed for quite a while now. I also talked to the other 3 ushers there and they told me the same thing. I have been doing skip the line tours with Viator and other companies in the past so it wasn't something where I was confused or didn't understand the process. So I never got into the museum, spent 30 minutes of long distance with Viator and I have even talked to them letting them know that other people that buy this tour will experience the same thing and buy a skip the line ticket but may have to wait an hour plus to get in. I did take the canal cruise but that's all I got to enjoy. If you are in Amsterdam you may just want to buy a regular ticket there for the Van Gogh museum. Really disappointed!

The museum and boat are great, but you cannot skip the line. You have to cue up at the museum to rede my our voucher in the same line to buy tickets. It's a one to two hour wait. If you want to skip the line, purchase tickets directly on the museum website.

The Canal bus was great, convenient and informative. However, to Pick up the vouchers for the Van Gogh Museum you have to stand in line to get the voucher, the same line as if you didn't have tickets/vouchers yet, so kind of ruined the purpose of getting them ahead of time. I'd recommend getting the canal bus day pass and then just buying your museum tickets ahead of time through the museum website.

This was another great outing for us. Van Gogh is truly one of the greats! And riding the boats was a lovely way to navigate the city and enjoy the sights

I loved the canal Hop-On Hop-Off tour. The tour guides were very nice. The seats are very comfortable. The stops are in the most important landmarks.

The Skip the Line vouchers are a great deal, no time wasted queueing. Great idea.

Amsterdam is an awesome city that I would definitely make a return visit to. I will admit that I decided to go at the worse possible time being between Christmas and New Years. So with that being said, many people were out and about in the city which makes for long lines. I was under the impression that this combo ticket would get me into the museum faster but it did otherwise. _br/_ I attempted to go to the Van Gogh Museum twice and the wait for the 'voucher' line was over 2 1/2 hours on both days. Also, the canal bus was way slower than I had originally thought. I would say that is strictly a tourist attraction. _br/_ After discussing the long wait in line with others, it seems that many did this skip the line voucher as well and it was anything but skipping the line. Random passerby's got into the museum faster than the rest of us. Just wanted to make you aware of that.

The Canal Bus Hop-On Hop-Off Day Pass was excellent - easy to use, lovely way to get around and very informative. Unfortunately, the same can't be said for the Van Gogh Museum Tour. We paid the premium for Skip the Line tickets to avoid queuing we've successfully done this before for Anne Frank's House and the Heineken Museum - straight passed the queue and in! When we arrived there were 2 queues - GREEN for the normal queue, YELLOW for the Skip the Line Queue. They were both the same length, arguably and ironically, the Yellow one was longer with a minimum hour and a half wait! As we were on a tight schedule with our cruise ship, we had to abandon the visit and leave! Waste of money I'm afraid!

I liked the convenience of this combo ticket. Only thing that was a little odd/confusing was that you have to go pick up your actual tickets a kiosk that is hard to distinguish from all the others. Other than that, it was totally easy and way worth the price!

Of all the tours I've booked through Viator this was a big disappointment. The Canal bus boat was very crowded, and no one seemed particularly interested in the tour details on the speakers. We could not hear anything--and there was no option for headphones. As for the Van Gogh tickets on the day we went, we were told at the museum we had to wait in the voucher line which was longer than the walk up ticket line. We waited for 30 minutes out in the rain, so I don't know where the skip the line comes in. Buy the museum tickets on line, if you can--and get the Hop-on, Hop off bus that comes WITH a complimentary canal cruise, which is the package I did on my last visit. A much better experience, and a bargain, too.

Skip the Line is not a true indication of this Pass for the Van Gogh Museum and Canal Bus Hop on Hop Off. After you purchase your ticket on line you have to visit a designated outlet in Amsterdam to exchange your printed ticket for other tickets. One of these tickets gets you onto the Canal Bus the other you must line up with say 100 others for an hour or so to exchange the tickets for Van Gogh museum entry tickets. You do not skip the line. Once inside the Museum there are many wonderful attractions to view and experience.

Too many lines to enter to get the proper ticket for both the Canal Bus and museum. Once the proper ticket was received, we enjoyed it very much.

The Van Gogh Museum was one of the best we have experienced! Since it is dedicated to just the one artist and a few of his contemporaries you see the progression of his artwork from beginning to end. We moved through at a leisurely pace and saw everything in just a few hours. The canal bus is the way to go for easy movement around the city.

Museum was really good - suggest you get an audio guide to enhance the experience. Hop on hop off canal bus was great especially as weather was good. A lovely way to see the city and easy to find stops etc.

The canal buses were on time and stopped at all the highlights in the city. The captains were personable and provided great commentary during the rides. The skip the line voucher was invaluable as the line to get tickets was so long we wouldn't have had time for anything else that day. So worht the money.

Excellent with all drivers except one on Sat am orange line who did 't turn on audio for all sights, and spent most of time on mobile texting.

We enjoyed our first day off the aircraft by being a bit lazy and taking the canal boat tour. We didn't venture off the boat much...just for lunch and to the Flower Market. We saw many lovely sights in Amsterdam and highly recommend a walk through the Flower Market to anyone interested in gardening or flowers in general...

Boats did not follow schedule , and were over sold making you wait for the next boat wondering if you would get on it. We lost precious time and were unable to complete our wish list of things to see.

Don't pay extra for the Vav Gough. They just give you vouchers so you still have to stand in Line.the canal trip was so noisy from the people that you could nor hear the commentary. When asked to turn the volume up the driver just ignored us,

Canal bus very convenient but slow. This company's boats weren't as crowded as some of the others. Some of the boats did fill, but other companies had long lines. Audio quality varied quite a bit so on one boat couldn't hear tour information at all, and other it was any where from clear to quiet or garbled. The skip the line at the museum saved us some time.

The canal bus was very good, but it is not a skip the line pass to the Van Gogh Museum, we had to wait in a line for about 30 minutes to get our pass. But once inside is a very good, informative museum about Van Gogh

The hop on/off canal bus was very good. Unfortunately the skip the line Van Gogh tickets were another story. You skip the regular ticket line, but still have to wait in the voucher line, which took us almost 1-1/2 hours to get in. If you purchase your tickets on line direct from the museum, you truly skip both of the above mentioned lines.

Review by:   barbara1,    August 2016 Review: 2 star rating: It was OK, but could have been better
Skip the Line ticket was okay but not great because after waiting in the first line we were told you needed to redeem our ticket someplace else. Luckily we ran back and were able to get to the ticket booth in time and then explain our situation so we didn't have to get back on line again. Not sure I would buy this pass again.

The museum was interesting the canal trip was dirty, noisy, crowded and not at all interesting the English audio tour was not very informative and could not be heard over the noise of the other people on board. The boat captains were very rude.

I'm sure if I saved any money buying this in advance. The Canal off-on pass was wonderful and well worth it, don't know if any more or less costly in Amsterdam, worth figuring out. The Van Gogh pass was not helpful as there was no line at the museum and indeed I had to validate it twice, once with the canal bus people days before who gave me another besdes Viator voucher and then had to stand in another line at the museum to get the real tickets. I don't think I'd both again in advance but just do it in Amsterdam.

Because it was pouring rain, we were so happy to have skip the line passes!! Not so much. We had to queue on a different line to buy our tickets to the museum, after we THOUGHT we'd already purchased them. Viator had gotten us nothing. In addition, the canal bus runs during limited times and all the stops were very far from the Wyndham, our hotel. We ended up never using the pass at all, and we had a 48-hour one!!! Lastly, there is no need to buy any passes ahead of time!!!!! We could have chosen once we got to Amsterdam, but your ads make it seem as though your stops are everywhere and accessibility through on site tickets might be limited. In short, this was a giant waste of our money.

Canal route is only around central city. Was not near our hotel so we had to walk quite a distance to get to cruise stop. Skip the line ticket for museum had to be turned in at museum for an official ticket so we ended up waiting on a long line in the rain anyway! Do not recommend this, sorry to say

We really enjoyed the museum and the boat tour was great for a relaxing your around the water, but once you and #39;ve seen it the boat was a very slow way to get from here to there. We went from one stop past 4 to the next and it took an hour. The tram line is much better for actually getting around.
