Bali Kintamani Volcano, Ubud and Barong Dance Full-Day Tour

Bali, Indonesia

The perfect introduction to Bali's fascinating culture and handicrafts, picturesque rice paddy fields, traditional villages and a spectacular lake and volcano. Your journey takes you to Batubulan, known for its stone carving and ornate temples, here you will see the exciting Barong Dance. A traditional dance that portrays the eternal struggle between good and evil, the religious and the profane and with a dramatic ending.

Continue on through the woodcarving village of Mas. Watch artisans chipping intricate designs from wood blocks. Then visit the fantastic 11th century Elephant Cave (Goa Gajah) before moving into the cool mountains of Kintamani. View Mount Batur an active volcano with its ribbons of black lava running down its peak to the valley below. Beside lies the shimmering lake of Batur.

Enjoy lunch in a restaurant providing wonderful views (lunch is at own expense). On the return back you will stop at the Holy springs which are believed to have magic curative powers. Visit Ubud the artistic heart of Bali and Celuk the gold and silver making center on route.

good day trip, however, since it was raining, we couldn't see the volcano as the mountains was surrounded by mist and cloud!

got to see lots of different sites as there was just two of us so they took us to other places to visit such as the batik studio and the coffee plantation. Because there was only 2 of us it felt awkward not buying something from everywhere we stopped. The only downside was that we never got to choose a restaurant for lunch, it was our guides choice and for a fussy eater there was not much in the buffet i ate so it was not worth the price.

Great view of the volcano, it would have been nice to get a little bit closer for a better view, but was worth it.

Great tour covering lots of distance, cultural highlights, scenic delights with some shopping opportunities thrown in. Downside was extra charge for hotel pickup paid in cash due to Tabanan location - ideally should be able to select this on purchase.

I was as lucky as to have Anto as my guide and even luckier to be the only person on the tour and being treated close to a royalty. Anto and the driver arrived to pick me up at the hotel in time. From there, we headed to the Barong Dance show - a must see - and after to the Denpasar area where we paid a visit to the batik makers, wood and metal carvers a bit too expensive in my opinion and then up to the Kintamani mountain, where we stopped for lunch. You can notice the change in temperature going up from South to the North part of the island and experience also astonishing sceneries. We stopped also at a Luwaki coffee plantation I really wanted to try it, although the process of making it is not very appealing :. Headed to the Elephant Cave afterwards for the last part of the journey - a thing not to be missed. Impressive by the architecture and the way its been preserved over the centuries. All in all, a trip not to be missed!

Fabulous tour covering a lot of things/areas. This was one of the best days of my holiday and would highly recommend it. The guide was always there ready to take photos and he was also very informative and friendly

This was a marvellous tour! We made stops to a batik making shop, painting shop, silver jewellery shop, and the rice fields in betweens our major sight-seeing locations. The highlight was really the Barong Dance and the Volcano trips. We thoroughly enjoyed the show but the volcano was simply stunning! Not to mention, our tour guide, Sandi was very informative and hospitable.

This tour was entertaining and informative._br/_ The real disappointment was on the absence of the detail on the added or extra surcharge cost per person that were charged on at the time of the pickup prior to the tour. The cost was Rp. 199,950/person._br/_ This type of cost was not once even mentioned earlie

did not visit ubud and did not like visiting the wood, jewellery and painting factories as felt pressured to buy. overall ok even though small group.

Actually its better to hire personal cab - go and see the Volcano and have sumptuous lunch. On the way you can rice terrace and few temples._br/_ If you go by this tour - they will take you to irritating art/handicraft/wood work unit. Its time-wasting, irritating and tiring. I am sure all this places would be paying commission to the guide for bringing tourist to them. Balinese dance is ok - but after 15 min you will start waiting to end which never end and goes on for 1 hour.

Great tour, guide very friendly, had good knowledge about all sites visited. Buffet lunch was very average. I would have preferred an option to order own meal.

Our guide, Radi was very accommodating, and his knowledge about the island is immense. However, it would be better if we there was another theatre package that can be attended, mostly dance instead of a play.

Overall a good tour except for the number of long stops at places related to shopping, not part of the program. Example 40 mins at the silver factory, a short stop at wood carving, 25 min stop at spice and coffee farm, 20 min stop at fabric factory and ONLY a 5 min stop at the rice terraces. Suggest a schedule be discussed at the beginning to avoid disappointment. It always depends on the other participants of the tour, but some compromising should be made or the guide have better control. Seeing the dancing was excellent. It was the first stop.

I gave it 1 star be amuse I could not give it no stars._br/_ Car had inadequate aircon and no rear suspension. Every stop was to a shop to sell you something. Ubud stop was not in the town, just to a place to flog you awful paintings. Do not waste your time on this tour via Viator

Not the best experience. The sights were really lovely and it was good to do this. However, our driver was 40 mins late.. The restaurant we went to at the mountains top was disgusting and my boyfriend got food poisoning from there which he still has at points now (We went in Sept and it is now late Dec). Also our driver did alot of talking which was informative at points but I felt like it went on at other points and I would have much rather had the chance to take in the scenery than have the guide speak at us non stop. It was kind of exhausting. The coffee experience was good. I wouldnt do this tour again to be honest.

Tour guide was excellent, full of information, the lunch at the volcano was expensive and not very good at all, beware of all the hassling you get outside as well, otherwise very enjoyable time due to guide :)

Bali Kintamani tour is wonderful for a memorable and exciting holiday.Tour guide Beni takes us through various craft villages(seluk and painting- village etc) after a unique traditional Barong Dance(to begin with) and picturesque rice fields with characterisric terrestrial-farming and to the awe-struck site of Mount Batur(inactive volcano) with Lake Batur shoulder to shoulder; The view of Mount Batur is awesome, especially from the Restaurant where we had lunch. Finally the tour was rapped up with the visit to a typical Balinese ancient house ,which is of historical interest. Guide Bene could have interacted more with the very limited tourists(six) during the long drives through various craft-villages in between the specified tour-spots(instead of the driver).Otherwise mr.Bene was very friendly and knowledgeable. Once again thanks to Viator for designing the Tour, tracking the tourist and executing the tour with such precision..! -Satishchandra

Very informative. Enjoyed seeing the real Bali Not just the tourist sections. I must make a special mention of the guide Rai. He was a very good and spoke good English so he was able to explain a lot of things that we saw. Again a very good day and I would highly recommend this tour

This was a very good tour. The tour guide and driver were very professional. I loved the Barong Dance. The leuwak coffee at the coffee plantation was interesting. The vista view Mount Batur was awesome. However, we did NOT stop in Ubud as the tour said we would. This was very disappointing as myself and the other 3 in the van choose this tour especially to see Ubud. Not likely I will get back to Bali to do so. Very disappointing.

This area of Bali, beyond the beaches and malls, is fascinating, and the tour gave me a better understanding of the people, their crafts and culture. My guide, Mr. Wiyasa, had a remarkable familiarity with the region. The restaurant overlooking the volcano, offered a nice selection of indonesian fare as well as a great view. The hindu temples, with their pools, gardens and sculptures added to my enjoyment.

A bit disappointed about the volcano. Thought it be more than what we saw but mainly cloud was covering it. Baring dance full day tour wasn't so bad. But you really need to understand what the story is about before you watch them. From getting one place to the other was about an hour drive

My first introduction to the Bali scenery and culture. The Barong was very good and the drive to the volcano was fantastic. The restaurant for lunch had very good atmosphere and the lunch was fantastic. My guide Rai was exceptional. Would recommend this tour to all.

Whilst the scenery was fantastic and very impressive (even though our day was slightly overcast) this local tour provider did not take us to venues that I have become accustomed to re Viators standards. Lunch was average, transport very average, silver shop in Celuk dirty. Better with private driver

The tour took 10 hours so it was a long day but a very enjoyable day. You get to see a lot of Bali and you get to see how hard the Balinese work. The wood carving was amazing they are very clever. Nice lunch at the volcano. Our guide Kana was great and he was full of information.

Our guide, Wendra, was very knowledgeable. We were a small group of 3 young couples. _br/_ All the stops were appropriate. We found the restaurant that we stopped for lunch expensive for a buffet lunch in Bali._br/_ The pick up was on time and everything went well and was very enjoyable._br/_ I recommend this trip.

I was the only person on this trip which i thought was cool. I had my own tour guide who waited patiently and show me around to so many places like the wood and metal factory and silk. Coffee must try over there! Must try the buffett facing the volcano, only 15AUD including big bottle of bingtang bought. Not included in tour fee but worth it for experience.
