Barcelona in One Day Sightseeing Tour

Barcelona, Spain

Combine two Barcelona tours at a discounted price and see the best of the city on this Super Saver! Enjoy a morning of sightseeing discovering Barri Gòtic (Gothic quarter) the Olympic village and Montjuic hill. Explore all the different architectures of the country at the Spanish Village, and take a cable car ride up to Montjuic Castle. Then, complete the day with an afternoon tour of Antoni Gaudi’s Barcelona masterpieces, seeing UNESCO-listed La Sagrada Familia cathedral, Park Güell and the former private residences of Casa Batlló and La Pedrera (Casa Milà).

Barcelona Morning Sightseeing Tour: (4.5 hours)
Meet your guide in central Barcelona, hop aboard your coach, and travel to Plaça de Catalunya to disembark for a stroll. Work your way around the square’s beautiful fountains and statues, before wandering along the narrow medieval streets of Barri Gòtic. Pass Barcelona Cathedral as you continue to Plaça Sant Jaume, where the Palace of Generalitat and the Town Hall are found.

Next, hop back on board your coach and take in views of the Mediterranean Sea lapping Barcelona’s coastline on the way to the Olympic village, home to Port Olympic and the Lluís Companys Olympic Stadium.

Travel up to the summit of Montjuic hill for panoramic views of the city and its bustling harbor. Admire sights of Palau Sant Jordi and Calatrava Tower, and then visit the Spanish Village to see typical architecture and traditional crafts from different regions of Spain.

Finish your morning with a cable car ride up to Montjuic Castle for more views of Barcelona’s stunning skyline, and then travel back down the hill by coach to central Barcelona. Bid your guide farewell, and enjoy roughly 2 hours at leisure before your afternoon tour starts.

Artistic Barcelona Including Gaudi’s La Sagrada Familia and Skip-the-Line Entry to Park Güell: (4.5 hours)
After meeting your guide in central Barcelona, set off on your afternoon tour with a stroll to La Sagrada Familia, one of Gaudi’s most famous works. Work your way around the exterior of the UNESCO-listed cathedral, gazing up at its sky-piercing spires, as your guide explains some of the standout highlights of the monument’s architecture and history.

From the cathedral, follow your guide to Park Güell, an extensive garden complex located on the hill of El Carmel that was also designed by Gaudi. Known for its architectural features with mosaic terraces, curved walls and eye-catching sculptures, the park attracts lengthy entrance lines. Skip past the lines with your fast-track ticket and head inside to explore the pretty walkways and leafy parkland with your guide.

Continue with a stroll down Passeig de Gràcia, the street that’s home to two more Gaudi works of art: Casa Batlló and La Pedrera. Learn how the buildings were designed as lavish private residences while posing for photos in front of them, and then bid your guide a fond farewell as your Super Saver finishes.

The Spanish Village part could be scratched, not sure why it is actually an important sight to see in Barcelona. Also the cable car ride up the mountain is unnecessary you can't really take pictures and if it happens on a windy day you are more preoccupied with holding on to your seat and praying you get out of there alive. Maybe extant the walking tour in the Gothic Quarter or stop at the old port?

Nearly everything about this was very disappointing. We booked this tour because we had other Viator tours that we really enjoyed. We wish we had never done this one!!!

We had an amazing time. The first part of the trip shows you all of the major sights of Barceolna on a bus tour. After reaching the top of a mountain/ large hill you have a beautiful scenic view overlooking Barcelona. We walked through the historic streets surrounding the Catherderal of Barcelona, before the first half of the tour ended. The second half of the day was spent visiting the major artistic achievements throughout the city. Both of our tour guides were very knowledgable, and friendly. We had a fantastic time, and would definitely recommend.

Be ready for a long day. Well worth it if you don't have a lot of time. They will take you to Sagrada familia for photo opt but you will not be able to go inside. Also you get to ride the cable car which is pretty cool. The Parque Guell was the highlight. Then you walk around the city with the tour guide that was very informative

This tour was bilingual meaning everything was said in English and Spanish. Several times by the time we got to English we had already passed the site. Our included lunch was at Hard Rock Cafe, not typical local cuisine, with a markedly limited menu.

This was the worst trip ever. We booked an English speaking tour and instead we got english/Spanish. Since English is a service one language and the tour guide had to go back and forth between English and Spanish the narration was very tedious. We booked the all day tour with lunch expecting an authentic Spanish lunch, instead we got a voucher for the Hard Rock Cafe._br/_ The weather was very rainy, not the tours fault. But the tour should have been cancelled because of weather as we could not go to a number of locations because of flooding. To top it all off several of the smaller Julia tour groups we left without a guide we had to stand in the pouring rain to wait the those groups to meet up with is before we could get on the bus. The tour was poorly organized and would not recommend Julia tours.

the tour guide was ok, but we covered a lot of physical space in a short time. Had trouble keeping up. Didn't attend the second half. Too much

It's not bad if all you have is one day. Sat on a bus and drove by attractions, it was nice to have the guide for commentary . _br/_ Included Monjuic and the Cable Car, included Sagrada Familia but not entrance. It's free to see the outside of Sagrada Familia, you are better off purchasing the interior tour from Sagrada Familia site , for about 23 Euro , you get to see inside, outside- free anyway and audio commentary.

This was a very good tour since it shows you the city and also the famous works of Gaudi. However, be aware that this is only showing you the outside of the Sagrada Familia. Luckily, there was a ticket booth outside the Sagrada for an audio tour of the inside of the church. The tickets do sell out so our tour was on a Sunday and tickets were sold out until Wednesday which was not a problem for us since we were staying in Barcelona for about 6 days. We ended up cancelling one of our tours though to accomodate this tour. Our tour guide Lydia was also very good and very caring. She was very knowledgeable.

This tour consist from 2 parts with 2 different guides .So first one gives you sightseeing of city from different points: scenic views Mountjuc from cable car, from Spanish Village, from Barceloneta and Rambla and so on. _br/_ And second one gives you Barcelona of Gaudi._br/_ I loved both parts of the tour and would recommend if you are first time in Barcelona.

Review by:   Querin Travels,    October 2017 Review: 2 star rating: It was OK, but could have been better
When choosing a tour, I was taking into consideration that there was a lot to see in Barcelona and wanted to fit as much in as possible. However there may be too much fit into this tour. There was only time to ride by and point at several of the beautiful building, parks and cathedrals and not to go inside of any of them. And on a covered charter bus, so if the edifice was not on your side of the bus, you still could not get a good look at it unless we stopped and walked around the outside, then hopped back on the bus. So for that amount of access, I would have preferred to save money and do a Hop-on-Hop-Off. The company itself was very helpful and accommodating. The tour guide is very knowledgeable and polite. But to be so close to La Sagrada Familia and not have time to go inside was wasteful to me. As well as Park Guell and the cathedral. I will be returning next year to create a more intimate and engaging experience.

The tour was split up into a morning and evening tour. The morning was okay, lots more bus ride then I would have liked and didn't like that it was split English and Spanish speaking. The evening tour however I enjoyed a lot more, our guide was above knowledgable about everything we did and saw. But how can you not just love everything there is about Barcelona. Wish we could have went inside the church La Sagrada Familia

excellent for those who do not have much time to visit all the most important places carefully._br/_ I took the excursion with lunch and it was frustrating. A hamburger and a soft drink at Hard Rock Café. I have never supposed this would be the lunch in Barcelona. I think you should explain what is offered as lunch and customer knows what to expect. I would prefer something typical.

This actually not as great as you think it is when you read the description. Especially I would say the first part of this tour, called The Highlightsis a waste of time. They take you on a bus around Barcelona and stop in front of sights. The problem is - you can't see much, if you want to do that, the hop on hop off bus is a much better option. The tour to Montjuic and the cable car - totally not worth the time spent. You don't go inside the tower, just stop in front. Ride on a cable car - I don't know, nothing special. A walking tour in Gothic district was ok, but could be done separately and not having to waste the time on other things. I unfortunately don't remember our guide's name, but she was young with a very heavy accent and her explanations were very insufficient. I was a bit angry at myself for wasting the precious 4 hours on this. I know someone left in the middle of it. The lunch was at Hard Rock cafe. _br/_ The second part of this tour is Goudi. We had a good guide, again, don't remember the name, but she was very knowledgeable and this tour was very interesting. This tour can be booked separately. And I do recommend it.

I did the morning tour, as well as the afternoon artistic tour, and I was slightly surprised at how many highly favorable ratings there were/are for these tours. First, the information provided by the tour guide was lacking in any real detail, which was primarily due to the fact that the tour was being conducted in both English and Spanish. As a result, the tour guide was consistently switching back and forth between the two languages, leaving you sitting in your sitting for minutes at a time in some cases without any information on the sites that you are driving by or, the tour guide would provide the Spanish translation of a site and by the time he/she had finished and begun the English translation of the same site, you have already driven past it.

Great tour. Lots to see in _br/_ Barcelona so if you only have a day or two and want to see a lot, do a tour. Loved being able to get into Park Guell without waiting and our guide was great. We had both the morning and afternoon tours combined and well worth it. The only drawback is sometimes not enough time at some of the sights, but you can always go back, which we did.

We took this tour in the expectation that the whole day tour would give us a comprehensive appreciation of Barcelona with access to sites and picture opportunities.

It was a hightlight tour and we can understand less than half of what the tour guide was saying due to her accent

Review by:   vimeo,    April 2017 Review: 2 star rating: It was OK, but could have been better
The second half was suppose to be an artistic tour of gaudi, but we can hardly understand the tour guide , would be better off with an audiotape guide of the park itself

I incorrectly thought that the tour lasted all day. This was literally two tours in one, with a break in between the tours. We saw some of the Gawdi buildings in the morning and at night. One things the website didn't explain, is that you don't go inside any of the buildings. You go inside the park, but you don't get inside any of the other sites you go to. Our guides were kind and I'm happy that we had the opportunity to see several things without having to do all the walking.

Our morning tour guide Lydia was incredibly knowledgable about Barcelona. She added a few picture stops which was nice before recommending a few places for dessert. Stops at the Olympic Stadium, Montjuic cable car ride, Spanish Village, the Marina and beach, Las Ramblas.

The morning was a good overview of the city but the afternoon part was lacking in information. We arrived at Sagrada Familia at dusk so although we were able to go into the crypt we could not see the exterior of the building well at all. We had to go back another day on our own to see this. The afternoon guide was a bit flakey.
