Discover the history and culture of Belize and visit the ancient Mayan city of Altun Ha on this shore excursion! After pickup from your cruise ship port, begin your half-day shore excursion with a tour around modern-day Belize City, known as the cultural and business epicenter of the country.

Visit a variety of cultural and historical highlights located around the city, including St John’s Cathedral and the colonial mansion once occupied by the British governors. Admire the beautiful wooden architecture of many of the houses you pass.

Then, you’ll be driven by your local guide 30 miles (50 km) north of Belize City to Altun Ha. Here, take a guided tour around the Mayan temple ruins and get the chance to see the ancient city up close. Learn how this centuries-old city was once a thriving trading post in the Mayan era. After exploring these impressive ruins, you’ll be transferred back to your cruise ship port.

We loved it! We were so happy that we booked with you. We had a nice small tour of 8 (our family) and were well taken care of by our wonderful guide Vel, who was funny and a wealth of information on the Mayans! Being in a small tour like this we had a little more leway to go at our own pace. GREAT!!!!!
