The Parliament building was built between 1885 and 1902, and was for a time the largest parliamentary building in the world. With 691 rooms and staircases stretching for more than 12 miles (20 kilometers), the building is topped by an elegant dome soaring 226 feet (69 meters) into the sky.

After your visit to one of Budapest's finest architectural achievements, sit back and relax on your city tour. You'll cross the Danube via Margaret Bridge and take a drive to the Royal Castle on the Buda side of the city. Here you will take a walk along the Fishermen's Bastion and step inside Matthias Church.

After a photo stop at the Citadel, you'll cross Elizabeth Bridge and drive by City Park to take a walk at Heroes' Square. Passing by the Opera and St. Stephen's Basilica, the tour concludes at the Hotel Intercontinental.

Visited a lot of places and the guide was good and knew her stuff. A multilingual guide is not as easy to follow as they switch between languages, but nevertheless this was an excellent tour. It would have been difficult to cover so much ground on ones own.

Great tour and very well organised. My hotel booked the pick up for me and it was a private taxi that was there early waiting for me. The parliament house visit was great. The sightseeing tour was also good but the guide was slightly annoying - was trying too hard i think bless him!! Would recommend.

This tour was good. Post the parliament visit was ushered into another bus for the sight seeing tour. Got the impression that i was initiated in the middle of the sight seeing tour and not at the start thus might having missed some part of the tour.

Good Tour to see a little bit of Budapest. Impossible to get in touch with the tour company. When I told them their phone numbers were wrong they shrugged their shoulders and didn’t care. You need to confirm 24 hours in advance but couldn’t cuz of the phone issue.

Such a stunning city and the tour could be fantastic...but you need a guide that likes her city. The only time we saw her come to life with any sort of enthusiasm was when she took us into a terrible store and was encouraging us to purchase souvenirs. Kick back was evident_br/_ Gorgeous views...the Parliament House tour had a different guide and was really incredible. This city has an incredible history and with the right guide there is a lot to learn. We just had a guide that seemed to need a nap._br/_ Disappointing.

Agnes and chubba rocked the first half of our tour. The next guide left me on top of a hill so thats a bummer. May i add i had fallen and was in a sling.... ya that never should have happened.....

Our first guide was very difficult to hear and understand. The Parliament building was beautiful, very much enjoyed that. We had to walk up about eight flights of stairs. My husband had a cane, and had difficulty walking. We found out after the tour that there was an elevator that we could have used. We should have been informed about that before we made for the stairs. The guide saw that my husband had a cane and did not mention the elevator.

Great tour if you dont have much time in Budapest .Not only do you see Parliament House , a must see in itself,but also all the major points of interestaround town. I took this tour primarily to see parliament hose as I had been in town for a couple of days already and had seen a lot of the major sites but was impressed with the coverage of the site seeing part of the tour. Highly recommend it to anyone going to Budapest.

The first guide didn't explain the parliamentary aspects in enough detail the other had issues walking and didn't explain the sights on the bus in detail at all, and when we got off the bus to walk around, he couldn't walk very far so we weren't able to see everything we wanted to which wasn't what we expected.

Parliament Tour was very interesting and wonderful to see. The trouble started when the original guide for the tour left and her replacement met us outside the bus. We did not see the interior of Matthius church, when we asked him why not, he became rude and aggressive with us, never did find out why we did not see the inside of the church. We spent about 2 minutes enjoying the view from the lower level of the Fisherman's Bastion and then he took us through a back alley with nothing to see to get back to the bus. We never did go to Heroes Square, the opera house instead we drove by the synagogue. Would not recommend this tour to anyone. It was a waste of money and time.

Supposed non EU people for this tour but not. Had to wait to get ticket for these people._br/_ Also combined with non city tour group and changed the bus and guide. Didn't enjoy the much._br/_ It's better go by ourself.

Although rather expensive for non-EU citizens, would highly recommend this tour as it covers not only the major highlights of Budapest, but you also get to visit the inside of the majestic Parliament House. But be warned: although the description of the tour states that you will be visiting the interior of St. Matthias Church, the six of us had to insist that it was in the tour itinerary and were eventually allowed in for a quick glance! We had chosen this tour because it was the only one we found that actually said that we would be able to visit inside the church!

Great intro tour of a city that we had never been to. It hit the highlights that we knew we wanted to see and that would best be seen on a group tour. Our guide was a bit frustrated because he had to translate everything into 3 languages when he originally thought it would just be two. It was also a bit frustrating for us on the tour listening to everything in English, then Spanish, then Italian. I feel like maybe we got an abbreviated version of this tour as a result of that. But overall it was still a good intro tour.

Tour was mediocre at best. We had a LOT of difficulty with communicating with the company 24 hours ahead of time as they require. It was a Budapest tour, but the number you have to call is in Germany requiring 2 international calls and associated cost. Then after confirming, they assured us the bus would pick us up at the hotel at a specified time. What actually happened was that they sent a taxi that just pulled up and parked in front of the hotel, driver didn't come in, didn't call, didn't identify himself as the mode of transport in any way. After we waited for 25 minutes after the appointed time, we called the international number again, and then they told us that the driver was waiting on us. When we did finally rendezvous with the tour bus, we were late and the rest of the group was understandably grumpy with us. As for the tour, you could easily do the Parliament part on your own, they just drive you over and then you join the pre-coordinated tours that are offered by the Parliament House anyway. The rest of the city tour was in the bus, and unfortunately the group was so big, it was super hard to hear the information about the sights we visited. I'd save your money and do something different in Budapest.

This tour was not worth the money. Our first experience on the bus was a short ride from the meeting spot to Parliament. There was one English-speaking guide and a Spanish-speaking guide. Unfortunately, the Spanish-speaking group was talking loudly, so we didn't hear anything. Even with dirty looks from all the people on the bus, they didn't stop. I was disappointed that the guide did not ask them to whisper or wait until later to talk.

What a rip off! We were picked up at 12:45 from the hotel and dropped off 10 mins.later at Parliment and waited in the hot sun till 2 for the tour. Just go to the Parliment _ get your ticket or order it online. Then we took the city tour, half in French, half in English. Most of the 4.5 hrs. is waiting

It was a hot day, we did not spend much time to know the outside of the Paliament house much during walking toward to the entery. We had hard time to catch the English words from the English tour guide whom was provided by the government.

The Parliament is stunning and the Parliament guide excellent. Do not miss it! You can book this tour on your own through the Parliament website but the English tours sell out fast so we went through Viator. For only a little more we added the city tour. Viator picked us up at our hotel and took us to the Parliament where the Viator guide got our tickets and then turned us over to the Parliament guide, then at the end took us to the tour bus and another guide. Bus was very comfortable, guide spoke English and Spanish. The Viator description said we would go inside Matthias Church, one of the reasons we booked the city tour. Our guide said it would take too long to buy the tickets. We did have time to go to the souvenir shop she recommended where we used the restrooms for a very small fee and a 3D history of Hungary for an extra fee. The 3D show was actually very good and I would recommend it if you have plenty of time but I had the feeling that the guide must get compensated for bringing in customers. We saw a sign advertising a concert that evening INSIDE Matthias Church so we bought tickets on the internet and went back that night. Matthias is truly a gem. All complaints aside, the bus tour was a great way for our mother to see the city and the guide was extremely kind and patient with her as she needs to walk slowly.

Part 1 of 3: The Parliament House tour was great but we could have just gone by ourselves since our tour guide just delivered us. We were given the tour of Parliament House by a great tour guide AT Parliament House not Viator. Part 2: City tour in Pest was frustrating because we sat through slow traffic just to see buildings. Also, we had an English language guide and an Italian language guide. They took turns so we missed half the explanations as we were moving and the 2 guides could not cover the same things. We will definitely try to avoid tours with more than one language being covered. Part 3: Tour in Buda was better, especially since we finally got off the bus twice. The guide was very knowledgeable.

The main tour came after the Parliament tour, which was handed over to the guides working for the Parliament. After the Parliament tour, which is mostly following around a tour guide speaking into a sort of one-way walkietalkie, it was time to get on the bus and get off/on when there were sights to see. People were free to leave the tour to go on their own ways at any time. The tour was a bit rushed, but was able to see and hear about the main historical sights.

The tour was doomed from the start. We waited in front of our hotel for bus or shuttle pickup, after waiting until it was almost time to go, a taxi driver finally asked if we were his pickup. Very poor communication from them. Taxi dropped us off, then we get to spend another 10 minutes trying for figure out where to go next. Bus ride to Parliament building was ok, getting around to go into Parliament was again, not so organized. Parliament tour was nice, but it was someone from Parliament that took us on the tour. After tour was over, our guide left us sitting to go get someone else. Way to long for this and nothing to do but wait around. City tour was just as unorganized. Tour itself was ok, we saw sights, but the guide would take us to shops, then let everyone walk around. Supposed to meet back at the bus by Buda Castle, but the tour guide and bus were not there at the time specified. Most of us stood there waiting like a bunch of ignorant tourists. Finally guide shows up with bus. Not sure why the guide couldn't meet us and wait for bus with us. The whole tour just seemed so unorganized. A waste of money, but more important, a waist of our time there. We only had a few days, and this tour wasted one of them for us. Can't replace that.

If you're on the fence about which tour to take, this one definitely highlights a lot of the main attractions. Parliament is beautiful and has a great history...the city tour includes riding on an air-conditioned bus thank goodness...it was very hot that day between stops at places like Heroes Square, Castle Hill, etc. Everything you see on this tour is worth your time. It makes for an enjoyable day, packing in loads of sights, but not overwhelming you. It's like the perfect taste to get you excited to do more walking around on your own.

We had a taxi pick us up and take us to our coach bus where we were met by our guide. Went straight to the Parliament House which was amazing inside and out. The Parliament House is huge and is one of the most beautiful buildings I have even seen especially at night when it is lit up. After the Parliament tour we did a nice scenic driving tour of both Buda and Pest.

This tour was quite informative and well-paced. As the first guide needed to speak 3 languages due to the diversity of the group, and it became rather cumbersome at times. The second guide seemed to say more in Spanish than in English, but this may have been an artifact of the respective languages, rather than a difference of information shared. Nevertheless, i would recommend this tour as an excellent introduction to Budapest. Very professional.

Very disjointed - guide in the Parliament run by Parliament themselves was very rude and insisted we were German as we had been bought tickets for a German language tour!_br/_ When we told our guide absolute lack of interest ._br/_ Rest of tour of bus was Ok but been on far better elsewhere-not up to standard.
