Buenos Aires Sightseeing Tour

Buenos Aires, Argentina

Discover Buenos Aires’ must-see sights on this 3-hour sightseeing coach tour. You’ll hit all the top attractions and neighborhoods, including Plaza de Mayo, Casa Rosada, Teatro Colón, Plaza de la República, San Telmo, La Boca, Palermo Woods and Recoleta. Make two stops to hop out and take photos, and enjoy interesting commentary from a knowledgeable guide.

Your coach tour of Buenos Aires begins in the Retiro neighborhood. As you sit back and relax in your comfortable seat, you’ll make your way past the city’s top landmarks and through its most popular neighborhoods.

Head to Plaza de Mayo, the political hub of Buenos Aires and home to Casa Rosada, the official office of the Argentine president. Stop here to take photos of the palatial building, famous for its pink exterior, and then admire more sights in the area, including the Metropolitan Cathedral and the Cabildo (town hall).

Next, make your way to Teatro Colón, a beautiful opera house built between 1889 and 1908. The theater stands near Plaza de la República, a square on Avenida 9 de Julio where you can see the Obelisco de Buenos Aires (Obelisk of Buenos Aires), a 1936 monument to honor the foundation of the city.

Then drive through the waterfront district of Puerto Madero on your way to the neighborhood of San Telmo, one of the city’s oldest neighborhoods, known for its well-preserved colonial architecture. See its many attractions, including Dorrego Square, where you should keep your eyes open for spontaneous tango performances – San Telmo is the center of tango in Buenos Aires. If your tour occurs on a Sunday, you’ll visit San Telmo’s weekly antiques market.

Continue to La Boca, Buenos Aires’ most colorful neighborhood, where a European atmosphere has remained strong since the neighborhood was settled by Italian immigrants. The district is a major attraction for the brightly painted buildings on the Caminito, the neighborhood’s main (pedestrianized) drag where you’ll hop off the coach to go for a stroll and see local artists selling their work.

Back on your coach, head to one of the city’s largest districts, Palermo, where you’ll drive through Palermo Woods. The city’s largest park, Palermo Woods is home to many attractions, including the Buenos Aires Zoo, Plaza Italia and Galileo Galilei Planetarium.

Finally, arrive in Recoleta, one of the most exclusive neighborhoods in the city, with its renowned Recoleta Cemetery (where Eva Peron is interred), elegant shops and open-air cafes. Your tour ends at Galerias Pacifico, a shopping area, where you can continue your own exploration of Buenos Aires!

This is a great short tour, only three hours, in which you are shown some of the highlights of the city and allowed some time to get off the bus and take photos. The guides were friendly and knowledgeable.

Very good tour of the city. Had lots of free time in the Boca area to wander and shop a bit. Guide was very knowledgeable.

The guide was 45 minutes late as she was scheduled by her company for an earlier tour that finished after our tour was to begin. This was supposed to be an English language tour , but instead it was a Spanish-English tour and the guide had to repeat everything she talked about in both languages--and she spoke more in Spanish than in English. Sophia was a new guide and just rattled off facts with no depth. she was a poor communicator. tour was an overall bad experience for our 6 participants, not worthy of Viatour

My mom and I booked this 3 hour tour very last minute. We were only in Buenos Aires for 2 nights, and we thought this looked like a great way to see the city in a short amount of time. This tour exceeded our expectations. And for that price! You really can't get much better. We were able to see everything we wanted to see. We specifically loved the La Boca neighborhood where they let us get out and explore for about 45 min street tango and colorful buildings. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and spoke great English. Highly recommend this tour!

A wonderful city - you will get much more out of it with just a little understanding of the last 150 years. People, buildings, culture all great. La Boca just exists for tourists - fight the temptation to see it. Although it sounds weird, you must see the cemetery at Recoleta and not just for you-know-whose's plot!

There was actually nothing wrong with the tour which gave us a good overview of the city. I booked this and another tour with Viaror and both times it said hotel pickup in Recoleta and downtown but on this occasion although we were in Recoleta we had to go to their office which rather defeated the main reason we booked this. As we are two older ladies on our first trip to Buenos Aries we found this a bit misleading and there seems no way to check if we would get a pickup until after wed paid.

We were pleased with the venues visited. However, too much time i.e. 20 minutes was spent at the beginning of the trip waiting for two latecomers to join the trip. We were also disappointed that at the end of the trip we were not dropped off at our hotel and were given inappropriate directions on how to walk from the drop off point to our hotel.

Great value for the price......this bus tour drives by a number of Buenos Aires highlights and stops at 3Presidential Palace area, soccer stadium and Carmenita St in La Boca. It gives a good overview and helps you decide which areas you would like to explore more. The bus picked us up at our hotel and was very comfortable.... the tour information was provided in Spanish and English.

This tour is good; however, it's puzzling why embassies and expensive car showrooms are pointed out. The new BA?

There were about 10 of us- all english speakers except for one couple who were Italian. So the tour guide conducted the tour in both English and Italian. This gets very annoying for 3 1/2 hours. I would have preferred to have heard only ONE language. She dropped us off at a square, not really explaining a lot about it and we were told to go about on our own. We were hoping for more details on the sights.

The tour was good but I would suggest - again - to keep the groups segregated by the language requested in the reservation. It is hard for the guide to make the presentation in three languages and very confusing for the tourists. However, our guide was fluent in all three languages and she did an excellent job!

This was a very good tour in clear Spanish and English, full of meaningful information by a excellent and lovely professional guide. The bus was of good medium size. The only minor problem we had was the pre-tour communication about our hotel pick-up, since we got repeated reminders that the meeting point would be at a tourist office down-town Buenos Aires. Be aware that hotel drop-off is not included, they offer three drop-off places, which worked well for us. We highly recommend this tour.

It was as promised. I didn’t want a long tour, since I had a flight to catch later. But it was nevertheless informative and covered the important highlights. La Boca is a particularly scenic area and that’s where we were allotted the most time to linger. The bus arrived 30 min late, so be aware.

Who knew Graffiti had so much meaning! Loved the tour and the history that came along with it. Didnt love the art gallery plug or focus on local art scene along the way, but hey I guess every body gotta make a living haha. Would definetly recommend, I got amazing pics that I would otherwise not have been brave enough to venture into this neighbourhood it is safe, just wouldnt have gone by myself.

As mentioned in separate email, its not a good idea having a dual language commentary especilly spanish. By the time the spanish was finished and the english started, what was being spoken about was long gone.

to many different languages on one coach and not enough time in old town , its an amazing city I am pleased we had extra days here to explore on our own. the coach tour did not spend long enough at important sites eg E Peron grave . a beautiful area to explore with markets and restaurants ut no time on tour thankfully we revisited the day after

Nice venues to visit, but the bus suspension was poor. My wife and I took a taxi back to our hotel because the rough roads and buses' poor suspension system hurt her back.

Our tour guide and driver made this a great day to see Buenos Aires and its varied barros. What can one say: English was excellent, given time to see sights without too much wasted time at spots that merely sold trinkets. Well worth the cost to get an overview of the city.

My experience with aviator was a disaster. I booked a city tour on the 9/03/2107 for next day 10/03/21072pm , it was very hard to accomplish the booking and they ask you to print the voucher which was very complicated since I was in holidays and didn't have access to a printer. On their booking page they ask you which hotel you are staying for pick up, and they accept it, they also take the payment and do not mention that the pick up from hotels are only from specific areas. So I booked and asked the reception to print it for me and in my mind they would pick me up by 2pm. When the day and time comes no one shows, I called them they said they don't cover pick up from'Palermo' area and therefore I missed it. I still took a cab and went to the a hotel in recovers where they were supposed to pick up the last customers. When I got there I called again , they said they couldn't wait for me and they left, the person on the phone was rude and wouldn't try to help or give solution. The lady receptionist a Recoleta hotel told me that they just called their guests and left, they never mentioned they had to wait for someone else. It's absolutely unacceptable to take the payment and asked for hotel name before the terms and conditions are clearly mentioned. Victor only say so once you paid, and in my case I dint even see it. So I was devastated and crying because it was the only day I had in Buenos Aires, I had to run and catch a hop,on hop off at 3:30 pm so,I could see a bit of the city. Never again Viator

A great overview of a magnificent city, our guide was very knowledgeable and gave us some direction of other areas of interest to visit in our own time. If you don't have a lot of time to spend in the city, this is a great way to gain an insight in brief. We had a couple of stops and time to get out and have a walk around for photographs and some souvenir shopping.

I did not think this trip came up to expectations. I expected to stop for a time at the cemetery where Eva Peron was buried. Instead we stopped at a tacky souvenir shop, toilets but really a tip. At the end of the trip the guide wanted to drop us of at a shopping mall! I had booked to be dropped at the hotel. As we had just arrived in Buenos Aires, we didn't know where we were and the last thing we wanted was to stop at a shopping mall._br/_ sop. Driver and guide were more interested in dividing the tips. The guide went off to help a disabled tourist and eventually the driver took us nearer to the hotel

This would have been a five star tour if we had been forwarned prior to booking that we would not be dropped off at our hotel afterward. We were told after we picked up the last passengers. When we were dropped off, we were told to walk straight five blocks and we would be at our hotel. Not so. We were almost in panic mode until we found someone who could help us by showing her a picture of our hotel! This was a very frightening experience in a strange city especially since my purse was stolen the day before. I also have limited mobility , so it was very difficult walking in the cobblestone streets that were littered with dog droppings!

This is an excellent tour to get a great idea of Buenos Aires and its layout. We enjoyed the stops, and the narration was excellent. I don't feel like we were rushed, and because the guide kept us aware of where we were in the city, we were able to make our own way back to spend more time at our favorite neighborhoods.

This trip is a good preview of BA to allow you, if time permits, to revisit later the parts that really interest you. Our pick up was from the cruise terminal Gate 13, which is probably not a great idea as this is the main exit and at 9am in the morning is heaving with tourists and taxi touts. Our pickup at 9-30 did not arrive and we eventually found a rep. at 9-50. The minibus didn't arrive until 10.10-so not a great start! _br/_ Then it got better. The bus was air-conditioned and the young guide spoke good English. We had a half hour stop in the Plaza de Mayo to see the Presidential Palace and visit the Cathedral. We drove through the Recoleta District with its elegant buildings and famous cemetery Eva Peron et al. .We passed along the magnificent boulevards interspersed with beautiful parks and former residences of the affluent- now mainly hotels and embassies. In the area of La Boca, there were two further stops to see the Boca Juniors famous football stadium and the Caminito district with its street artists and gaily coloured former fishermen's houses. The tour finished passing by the Puerto Madero, which is the restored and gentrified former port area with its converted original warehouses complemented by modern high rise apartments. The tour finished in the shopping area- Avenida Florida. A bit poor they didn't return us to the pickup point,

The tour provided a good overview of the sites to see in Buenos Aires, and also the different areas. As our tour was in multiple languages, you often didn't receive an explanation of the site until after you had passed it. However, this would be an issue for any tour in more than one language.

The tour was good. I felt we spent a lot of time on the bus but we did get caught in traffic on one of the main roads. Tour guide spoke good english and we got some knowledge of the city as a base for our stay.

We really enjoyed this tour. The guide was well-informed and the tour showed us a side of Beunos Aires we had yet to see. Our hotel was in a SLIGHTLY less desirable area of the city so the tour enlightened us to its better side. The guide had good English and we were given ample time at the various stops to look around on our own. At the end you are given a good choice of where to disembark the bus.
