Copenhagen Panoramic City Tour with Tivoli Gardens

Copenhagen, Denmark

Join the Grand Tour of Copenhagen and view all the major sights of the Danish Capital by motor coach. You will pass by the Tivoli Gardens and the Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek. Drive through the colorful canal district and listen to recorded commentary about the major sites including the National Museum to Christiansborg Palace, home to the Danish Parliament.

Continue on to the old Stock Exchange and across Kongens Nytorv, where you will be able to see the Royal Theater, world-famous for its Royal Ballet. This is followed by a drive past the vibrant harbor district of Nyhavn to Amalienborg Palace, winter residence of the Royal Family. Here you will have the opportunity to see the Changing of the Guard.

Next you will visit the Gefion Fountain and the Little Mermaid, inspired by Hans Christian Andersen's fairytale. Last but not least, pay a visit to one of the many magnificent churches in Copenhagen and pass Rosenborg Castle, where the crown jewels are protected by the Royal Guard.

Great driver and guide... They were knowledgeable and every thing went on time with proper awareness!

The problem is that the directions to the starting point are really bad. It says next to the church tower. No church there just the city hall. We spend 30 minutes going in circles. After that it was ok but to pricie for what we got

Nice tour for the money, but did not get to Tivoli as in tour title. Kind of dropped off with little guidance at canal waterfront.

We ended not doing this tour as it looked too crowded, people running after the tour guide, not our scene, but I am sure a lot of people enjoyed it.

The guide was excellent. The tour was better than the hop-on, hop-off.

Great tour. It was a bit rushed - more to see than time to see it all.

Very disappointing from beginning to end..vague directions to locate bus, no time to ask questions except at brief..stops..and no time for stroll at each stop. Would have much preferred timw to enter the Orchestra building and a ahort stroll through Tivoli Gardens..may not be able to say this but tours of St. Petersburg ans Stockholm were wonderful but NOT Viator !! Driver was more informative than guide..save your time and money.

We purchased Tivoli with this tour and had to walk 20 minutes to the park. They should have dropped us off at the end of the tour like the Canal Cruise people.

Beautiful city! Enjoyed the city tour immensely: gardens are beautiful but totally skipped the rides--good for kids. The little mermaid is LITTLE but worth the visit. Had a great meal in Nayhaydn sorry forgot spelling

Our trip was cancelled at the last minute so I cannot give you a rating on Copenhagen but I can give you an excellenat rating on returning our money from the trips that we had booked through Viator. It took only days from the cancellation and our money in whole was in our account - as of this minute we are still waiting for everything else, cruise, flights and hotel. Thank you very much Viator - we will do all our booking next time through you.

very educational and highly recommended... visit to the Tivoli Gardens was the main highlight... it was awesome! The only suggestion I would make is we would have stopped at Nyhavn and enjoyed the scenery.

Our Panoramic City Tour of Copenhagen was very well done. We took it within hours of arriving in Copenhagen and found it to be an extremely useful way of getting oriented with the city. It covered all the major sites in an efficient two hour tour. Our guide was terrific! We stopped several times allowing us to take pictures and more fully capture our surroundings.

Pick-up location was not at the dock or even close. It cost an additional $36 US to get near the pick-up point and still had a considerable walk. Then we had to rely on the kindness of locals to help us with directions. We arrived about 40 minutes before the tour was to start and we waited there. When the bus arrived the two front seats were already taken even though we were at the starting point of the tour. Everything was rushed because the tour was late starting. We were constantly hurried by the tour conductor. We chose this tour mainly because it included the changing of the guard. However, we were allowed 20 minutes which included washroom break, walk to the palace and see the change of the guard and return to the bus. When we got to the palace there was already a crowd about 10 deep around the square so we heard the change but were unable to see anything. Photo stops were all 2 to 3 minutes in duration so some people never left the bus. The directions given to us by the tour guide to get to Tivoli Gardens were poor at best. Again we had to rely on the assistance of locals. Praise to the locals as everyone we approached understood and spoke english.

The recorded information that accompanied the tour was really enjoyable . It was clear and audible. The driver did a wonderful job by adding interesting facts to each sites . Very enjoyable tour .

Not a comprehensive tour as described. The tour guide was superficial and did not present in depth. The bus had seen better days and the upstairs air conditioning barely worked. Altogether a forgetful experience.

The tour was great--four stars, but Viator's instructions were substandard. The Copenhagen taxi driver couldn't figure out where to find the Panorama bus and just let me out at the square, which is huge, saying "There are bunch of tour buses over there." A bystander, also a resident of Copenhagen, tried to riddle out the instructions and said I needed to take another taxi to a location faraway. (In hindsight, I think he thought the picture on the printout was where I was to meet the bus.) On the way to the taxi stand, I found the bus, which was just about to leave. The bus was very far from the main part of the square. Both the taxi driver and the bystander both spoke perfect English, by the way..

Great way to get the feel for the city on a comfortable double-decker bus. We did this on our first of several days in Copenhagen and it really helped us to get the layout and make a list of things to see/follow up on. Tivoli gardens was wonderful - highly recommend going there as it starts to get dark. The lighting alone will blow your mind!

Tour did not happen. Could not find the bus in time. Meeting place directions were not easy to understand and even locals trying to help us sent us in different directions. Very disappointed. Had to reort to hop on and hop off buses.

Very bad regarding trip time to cover some places such as Mermaid, they left their while I am tacking photos for a short time. I lost the tour because of few seconds delay for tacking picture.

This was one of the four tours I booked for this trip and the worst. The amount paid did not match the services received, It was a bus tour with audio and the garden is pretty much a children's playground with a few flowers. Disappointing!

The bus did not stop for photo ops, barely slowed down when we passed the Little Mermaid statue, and then photos showed reflections from bus window. Traffic slowed us to a stop at one point for about 20 minutes.

Tour was fine and did include the Tivoli Gardens but cruise ship clients beware. The start is a long way from the dock and 90 min at least should be allowed if walking. ( 2 hours if sightseeing on the way) There appears to be a bus but not sure of times.

A okay bus tour, and then you get dumped off and have to find out about Tivoli on your own. Worth about 10 bucks.... Copenhagen is a fantastic city, this tour is marginal at best. I expected them to at LEAST let me know where Tivoli was, and how to get in, they just seemed dumbfounded when I asked about the tour including Tivoli... will not be using Viator any longer.

We stayed at the Palace Hotel. The room was very nice, the food in the restaurant was very nice. The Service was excellent. But.... there is major roadworks going on right at the front door, and when we arrived (in the rain by taxi), we had to be dropped off down the road and then drag all our luggage to the Hotel entrance. My 86 year old father (my travelling companion), has difficulty walking long distances, and to be dragging a heavy suitcase was not what we expected to have to do on our arrival. Also, I am a light sleeper, and the town clock chimed every hour (it is located just across the road from the Palace Hotel). On top of that, our room must have been in very close proximity to the dining room, as I could hear what sounded like people walking about, moving furniture, and the jingle of cutlery, while I was trying to get to sleep. We did the Grand Tour of Copenhagen on day one of our stay. I rate it 7/10. The castles tour on day 2 was quite good, but my father had to sit out of a couple of the walks due to no wheelchair availability. We did however get wheelchair hire at Tivoli Gardens, which was very nice. So all in all, I rate my stay in Copenhagen 6/10.

The place of bus tour starting point was so easy to miss! There was no map or address clearly written, only saying it is opposite the Tivoli garden, which is naturally taken as the entrance of the Tivoli garden! We went around to look for the buss and took a long time and almost missed it! Again the bus was stopped at the loyal palace and we were asked to walk to the marmaid statue, the instruction was again very unclear. We got 10 minutes to walk but it was simly not possible to be there within 10 minutes so that we thought we must need to turn already much earlier than the expected meeting point. We tried to find the place to meet but never got there. We missed the bus and had such a stressful time to search for the right point to find the bus. The bus was also very old and crowded. We would recommend tourist to simply walk or take collective transport to get to these places from the railway station.

Great way to see Copenhagen in just a few hours. Didn't get to really stop and enjoy things as much as we would have liked, but that is what should be expected on such a short tour. I do recommend this tour though!

This is an escorted tour, and quite frankly we were surprised and very pleased that they actually stopped at several key places and showed us around. It is not a hop-on hop-hop off, which we knew, but more of a personal introduction to the city. The only criticism would be that it was a little confusing to find the departure point, so give yourself 15 extra minutes. But once we found the company representative and found out where it departed--which is kind of obvious in hindsight--we were able to sit down close by, enjoy a cup of coffee, and people-watch while we waited for teh bus to arrive.

Excellent guide saw all the highlights. A nice sized group on the tour. I highly recommend. This the one of three tours I book with Viator on our cruise to the Baltic. Better than the ships tours and a better price as will. Take this tour.

We almost missed the tour because of their wrong instructions. We were standing at the exact corner that our voucher told us to, but thats not were you need to meet. Because of construction theywere about half a block down right next to a Mc Donalds. We finally realized that but were pretty upset that they didnt even bother to come by and check the corner that they specifically told us to meet at. Other than that the tour was okay. Sites seem to be pretty spread out across the town, so this was a pretty effective way to view the city. Also wished that the guide would have been a little more specific with the history and details of the city.
