Your sightseeing tour begins at the San Cristobal main square we'll you'll enjoy a panoramic view of the city. Then, you'll visit the San Pedro market and browse through the local products. Your guided visit continues to the Temple of the Sun, “El Korikancha”.
There are some stories which claim that when conquerors arrived in Cusco, this temple was completely laminated in gold. Inside, you can admire the perfectly shaped stones and the way conquerors built what is currently the Convent of Santo Domingo, on the base of this Inca temple.
Then you'll head to the Artisans’ Quarters of San Blas to visit its church and its particularly impressive carved woodwork. On your way to the Cathedral,you'll stop by the Hatun Rumiyoc street where the famous twelve angular stone is. In the Cathedral, you'll have the opportunity to see its beautiful woodwork and colonial paintings before heading back to your Cusco hotel.

Most of this tour was spent bumping around in Cusco traffic. We went to another hotel on the other side of town presumably to pick up other passengers - they were presumably no shows but there was no explanation. After a brief tour of the markets we navigated back to the same hotel to pick up a couple who by now were presumably an hour late in a 3 hour tour - again no explanations or apologies or introductions. More traffic - a few stops and ended up back within 50 meters of our hotel to start the walking component. At no stage did the guide outline the itinerary or explain what was going on. While he gave quite interesting commentary when we did stop at various sights it was as if he was reciting by rote and at speed presumably to make up for lost time -he gave the impression he was clearly bored. Some of the views expressed on the inter-mixture of Catholicism and local beliefs were very interesting but somewhat dogmatic. Overall one of the worst of many city tours we have done world wide. Avoid.

Incredible tour. it was the the perfect tour after arriving two hours prior to the tour. The sites we visited were well chosen to give a great view and cultural knowledge of Cusco. Our guide had a tremendous amount of knowledge and provided insightful cultural and historical context at all the sites we visited. A must tour to select for your first day.

The Cusco tour was a great introduction to the city. Our guide, antionette, was very knowledgeable and we enjoyed the market and monastery tour very much. The only thing I would change is that it was difficult at times to understand the heavy difference in dialect. We wished we had read more about Inca history before our trip. All in all, we were happy we had this overview of Cusco before we tackled Manchu Picchu.

This was a good, quick primer for our first day in Cusco. We pretty much covered most of the highlights of the city that one could expect to in a half-day which is great because you don't want to take on too much without first getting acclimated to the altitude!. The price is reasonable, so I'd highly recommend doing this tour!

Our tour was supposed to be from 2-6:00pm, but the tour company was over a half an hour late picking us up from our hotel and they ended the tour before 5:30pm. For the amount of money we paid for this tour, we thought we were going to be able to see more of the city than we did. The tour guide was friendly, spoke English well and was very knowledgeable about the history of Cusco. She was a great story teller with so any interesting facts about each place we visited. The entrance fees/tickets were included with the price of this tour. We enjoyed the tour and found it very beneficial, interesting and informative, but we just with the entire 4 hours were taken advantage of.

We were rushed through everything. I do not recall the guide's name, he was so poor. A fast walk through the market, which would have been a highlight, did not let us seen anything of value. 'no shopping, just looking' seemed to be his mantra. The tour could have been enjoyable, but the guide was poor. Probably a good tour with a different, more considerate guide.

Again, just fantastic. My favorite tour of my entire week in Peru and why I booked a second tour with your company for Lima. I should have asked about even more tours as I had some others I had pre-booked with other companies that were lacking. Angel knows his stuff and didn't pivot at my questions I am a huge history buff and had read about a lot of what we were seeing beforehand but had insightful answers for all. The Cathedral in Cusco was such an amazing place, made more so by knowing how to look for the indigenous influences used that knowledge as I visited many other Churches, etc. thereafter. My guide was excellent. Very informative about the history of Cusco and especially the cathedral where his expertise created a magical experience. I would recommend this to anyone visiting the city because on your own you will just be harassed by vendors and not really understand the history.

The tour guide Al was knowledgeable and accommodating. He kept us moving to show us as much as possible in the 4 hours. My only complaint was that at the end of the tour, he wanted us to find our own way back to the hotel from the plaza. It worked out just fine though as we told him that we wanted to go back to the hotel as the description indicated and the van driver did accomodate our wishes.

We enjoyed this tour very much. The tour guide needs to continue working on her English...at times we had to concentrate hard to understand her. We were glad to have someone take us to the most important sites in Cusco and tell us about them. The elevation issue makes it a bit more challenging to plan and get around efficiently and independently, especially for a mature couple like us.

Okay for those who like to go and visit churches but didn't cover the new parts of the city to show how current generation is now living along with the newer building up of the city.
