Discover the Sacred Valley of the Incas on this full-day excursion from Cusco. Travel to the scenic town of Pisac where you'll visit the local market and see mass if traveling on a Sunday. Then, head over to the ruins of the Ollantayambo Fortress and the Temple of the Sun, a mysteriously built structure with massive 12 foot (3.5m) tall stones.
Travel back in time to the Sacred Valley of the Incas with a day that begins in Pisac. This native town was once where “exchange transactions” took place. In this type of transaction, customers would exchange one good for another instead of using currency. Visit the market of Pisac where you can purchase beautifully crafted products hand-made by the locals.
On Sunday, the main attraction is a mass celebrated in Quechua and conducted in Spanish. It is attended by the mayors and their attendants who play traditional musical instruments called "pututos."
Afterwards, you'll enjoy a typical Peruvian lunch (included in price) before visiting the fortress of Ollantaytambo and its main attraction, the Temple of the Sun. Built using massive stones, each one approximately 12 feet (3.5m) tall, this temple was used as a fortress during the time of the Incan civil war.
A wonderful tour. The guide was very knowledgeable and funny. A great day. Enjoyed visit with the llamas and seeing the monument.

LOVED our guide for this tour!!!! He was a great story teller and made the day so fabulous!! The scenery was amazing and the history was captivating! Lunch was included and was incredibly delicious and we all left stuffed!! The markets of Pisac and the ruins in Ollantaytambo were so much fun and the drive thru Sacred Valley was incredibly picturesque. The only thing I wished for different was more time : I had an exceptional day!!

It just wasn't very well thought out. Too much time at a market that sells the same junk they sell everywhere and not enough time at Ollantaytambo. Lots of shuffling of tourists to various hotels. Not impressed. Wouldn't waste a day of my vacation on this one.

I took this tour with my 20 year old daughter and we had an awesome time. We had a small group of 6 total. The tour and (especially) guide were very good. The lunch was a very nice surprise at a beautiful hotel. Personally, the only negative was the time spent shopping in Pisac. I'm not much of a shopper. I would recommend this tour.

Honestly was not a good day what so ever. We were picked up early and from the get go didn't seem to start well with our tour guide barely saying a word to us more than hello. After picking up all the passengers in what was quite a hectic manner we set off and again the tour guide barely said a word of welcoming with little dialogue throughout the journey. We arrived at an Alpaca enclosure which was amazing but again the tour guide was pretty terrible with little information and constantly on his phone. Throughout the day we changed coaches/Minibuses at least 5 times it was pretty hard to keep track and each time there was no information as to why. On the way to lunch our coach was pulled over as our driver didn't have a driving license which delayed us by 20 minutes and in all the number of delays throughout the day and just waiting around was ridiculous, with organisation being diabolical. The actual stop offs on the tour and lunch were really good but the lack of organisation was terrible. To top the whole day off after only being able to spend a mere 1 hour at Ollantaytambo the only place where admission fees applied we then set off back and our coach broke down...

Even though you do not visit the Saqsayhuaman ruins, you are in Saqsayhuaman park and riding free with the wind in your hair overlooking stunning views. I really enjoyed this tour. We visited a small ruin called the Temple of the Moon and Spirit Mountain. My guide Grimaldo was great! There was only one other girl on my tour so instead of being on a tourist tour it really felt like I was just hanging out with friends.

The trip was great. Robinson is an excellent tour guide. Excellent price, and phenomenal lunch buffet- beautiful setting and great food. I left my Kindle on the tour bus- one phone call from the hotel and it was returned to me the next day at 430AM on the next tour. And Sacred Valley is a must see before Machu Picchu. People on board made the trip even more fun. Do this!!

This tour is exceptional. Everything we hope for that is stated in this tour package was delivered to us well. Our tour guide Niño is really informative and knows how to lead the group well. The buffet lunch is also delicious. I highly advise everyone to book this tour. It is worth every penny.

Based on the information and reviews in travel magazines about the Sacred Valley we had quite high expectations..we were a little disappointed at the end of the day..there was quite a lot of driving and most stops we mDe was about shopping at local markets, which offered more of the same. The exemption wS the stop at the Llama/Alpaca comminiwhere The make the most beautiful products. Expensive but so worth the buy. Better to buy one beautiful produce from them instead of all the terrible bD quality product you find everywhere. It is also a way to support the local communities. All the stuff you find everywhere at markets or unofficial stores, is made in China and is all synthetic.. we had a stop for lunch in a beautiful hotel where a buffet was served in the gardens,a beautiful setting and good quality. The last stop was at the ruins of Ollantaytambo. Impressive. We expected the see more of these kind of Inca treasures this trip, but unfortunately this was the only. Our guide Ruben was outstanding: he talked non-stop and knew of information he transmitted to us. And he had a good sense of humour too. Our driver William was a serious driver and made you feel safe. The agency is the best for all your excursions. They are punctual , professional, great guides and you can choose to be in small groups. We were just four that day. They may be a bit more expensive but so worth it. Strongly recommended..

The guide was very informative and spoke English very well. Unfortunately, as we drove along, the ambient road/vehicle noise sometimes made it difficult to hear everything he said. The tour covered a lot of miles/km, with spectacular scenery, and although the road was often very winding and bumpy, I never had any doubts about the driver's ability and safety-first attitude. The hacienda style buffet lunch spot, Tulupa, included in the tour price was also very nice. It might help if the tour handed out a map of the route and towns involved. Keep in mind it's a full day, from 8am hotel pickup to 5pm drop off. The tour also offered the chance meet other people, which was nice for someone like myself travelling solo. Go for it!

Tour was out of this world and our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable. The shuttle drive on the way back home was scary, our driver shopped to pick up his friends on the way to Cuzco and didn't ask us. I took a picture of his drivers licence and license plate. All female travelers be careful!

Very good experience. I'd only suggest that this trip included a stop in Urubamba once it is a trip to the Sacred Valley. The guide was great and they were very punctual. We were staying in Ollantaytambo and they even helped us finding the hostel.

This tour was a highlight of my entire vacation. Adrian grew up on a family farm in Ollantaytambo and was extremely knowledgeable about the area, history and all details I could possibly have wanted to know. The lunch was exceptional and i was able to have many GLUTEN-FREE options. I have a severe gluten intolerance, and the manager at the restaurant was very experienced with Celiac customers. Most items were gluten free, and I did not get sick afterward from gluten exposure or otherwise. Can't say enough good things about this tour.

Overall the tour was good, the sites were great and the bus comfortable. The biggest drawback was that too much time was wasted on taking us to see 'jewelry' shops and other places where they tried to sell things to the tourist.

Tour and guide (Rony) were excellent. Picked up from hotel on time. Tour visits lots of beautiful places. The only complaint we had was not enough time at each destination, but there is nothing we would leave out, so this is still an excellent introductory tour.

Pick up was timely and the small group 16 experience was a big plus and fostered camaraderie. The Sacred Valley sights were truly memory makers. The included lunch buffet was massive and the food excellent. I did not give a five star because we felt rushed at the stops, especially the shopping locations. The driver was good but the tour guide provided minimal information about the history of these famous sights.

We had such a great experience! They picked us up from the hotel exactly on time, the bus was really nice and it is a small group which we loved Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and spoke english. The food was AMAZING! We have taken several tours in other countries and this was the best one yet. They even dropped us off in Ollantaytambo so we could jump on the train the next morning. Highly recommended.

My mom and I really enjoyed this tour!! The buses were very comfortable, the lunch was located at an absolutely beautiful ranch and gardens. There was one woman on our tour who was quite put out that the whole tour wasnt about various ruins, but as it turned out everyone was charmed by the llamas and alpacas anyway. It would have been nice to have a few minutes to go into the actual museum on the llama farm. We could have skipped the Pisac market as it was just about the same as any other market, but I was able to pick up a very impressive agate geode which I hadnt seen anywhere else. Some people chose to see the ruins at Pisac instead, but at that point it was raining and we opted out. Ollantaytambo ruins was incredible and the guide was very knowledgeable about the area.
