We had been in Delhi for several days but did not feel like we had experienced the “real” Delhi...until this tour! Shrishti was a wonderful guide and took us to places we never would have experienced on our own. We started on the subway, toured a Sikh gurudwara, helped make chapatis at their community kitchen, strolled little alleys and enjoyed the most delicious chai, delectable samosas, and stopped at a sixth generation lunch spot for paratha. We thoroughly enjoyed our half-day with Shrishti and wish it could have been longer.

I enjoyed my morning but it was not what I signed up for at all! There was no small group, just me the Red Fort was closed so saw a variety of other sights and markets no chai or lunch provided transport was Delhi's metro at rush hour.

Yajnabalkya Chatterjee was absolutely amazing! We had a wonderful morning with him walking around Old Delhi. He was incredibly knowledgable, not only about sites on the tour but Indian culture, food, government, music and everything in between. We wish we could have had him for a longer tour or hung out with him again.

Sights and experiences were great, tour guide was average, pick up location was not very central, overall poor compared to other tours we have been on

this was probably the best money I spent in India! Our tour guide Sabyasaghi (Sab) was unbelievable! he was so well respected with everyone that we met. He took us everywhere. he introduced us to the Metro and what to look out for and where to eat. He let us know about the different histories and rituals of India. Take this tour as your first introduction to India. Fingers crossed you get Sab as he is one of a kind!

An excellent tour, we really felt that we had experienced something of the real city. All the organisation was straightforward and the tour company were helpful. Our guide Sabya Sachi was good company and knowledgeable. Unless you are in some way infirm it is possible for anyone to do this tour and I would highly recommend it.

I was a single woman traveler, it was my first visit to Delhi. This tour was a great introduction to the city's shopping alleys. I got to ride the subway, eat samosas from a food stall as well as eat at a popular local open air restaurant - so, go on this tour hungry. The Sikh Temple was great. The people very friendly. We stopped by the spice market and I purchased spices and tea. I had a really good time and most of all, I feel comfortable enough now to go again to Old Delhi by myself. And I didn't get Delhi Belly.

Our tour and guide were both excellent. The young man that arrive at our hotel to pick us up was very couteous and friendly. He happily guided us through the metro system and pointed out any number of items and was so happy to accompany us to the sites, smells snd sounds of Old Delhi. He stopped at a favorite resturant and we all enjoyed a delicious lunch. I cannot say enough good things about our experience.

Wow Highly recommended with Avdesh our tour guide. He made us feel Chaotic Old Delhi so close, good information, we tried some traditional food. The Sickhe temple was a good experience. Overall, the best

This tour SHOULD NOT take tourists to the restaurant I was taken to in Old Delhi. As I write this a week later STILL feel ill. It was a restaurant in an alleyway in Old Delhi. The tour guide seemed like he needed a bit more enthusiasm and needed to give more information in the tour. I think he needs a bit more training, other than that he was nice. I repeat this tour should NOT take people to this restaurant!

It was just me on this tour with the young male tour guide so it wasn't quite what I expected. But my guide did a great job. Took me to so many interesting places. We had lunch at a restaurant I would never have found on my own - best parathas ever! He answered every single stupid question that came into my head with charm and intelligence. I would never have seen this side of Delhi if I hadn't gone on this tour. If you are a lone traveler and want to see Delhi in a short period of time, this makes so much sense.

I booked the tour at Friday afternoon via Viator homepage and this fact caused 1,5-2 hour extra dealay and 3 extra telecall to the local office in the Morning of the tour because the office could not organize my guidance in time. Anyway after the tour and the guidance was very good. The walking tour worth the time and the money. I could see the life of Old Delhi, drink tee and eat in a local kiosk ( I would never try if I am alone.), shopping, see monuments and temples with good level of guidance. Memories I wont forget in my life!

I booked the tour via Viator homepage at Friday afternoon from Europe. The local office could not organize my trip in time ( fact they are not recognize my tour until I called them in the Morning) so it caused extra 1,5-2 hours of delay to start he tour. (+2 calls). The meeting point given in the description( Hotel Jivitesh) is only to orient but not relevant to your final tour. You should always call the local office one day ahead to negotiate your hotel and meeting point! Anyway the tour worth the time and money. Walking through streets, drink tee and eat in a local kiosk ( I would never try if I am alone) shopping, visit monumnets, temple, travel with riksha etc.. with good level of guidance. Very nice tour and can feel the real Delhi if you are walking! I will never forget the memories in my life!

It was great to be collected at our hotel and taken to the metro and onto a train. We felt safe and secure in the crowded carriages and as we changed trains and exited at Old Delhi. Our guide was knowledgeable and reasonably easy to understand his English. Great tour and a good introduction to Delhi.

The tour was great! It was just me and another guy, plus the guide, Ashish. Ashish was really friendly, helpful, and extremly knowledgeable about Delhi and Indian history. We went through the narrow streets of Chandni Chowk, to Jama Masjid and to a Sikh temple, and we had an awesome lunch.

Without having this trip I would never have experienced a most wonderous and real side of Delhi. It was a really amazing and intimate experience I went to places I would never have had the courage or the contacts to do so. Wondering around the streets of Delhi on your own is nothing compared to this marvellous opportunity to meet real residents, eat with locals and experience real Delhi Life. Thank you so much. My guide was very professional and yet warm, informative and I felt totally safe. Unforgettable!

This tour was a fantastic introduction to Delhi and was the highlight of my time in Delhi. Our guide was so friendly and made the tour feel like it was a friend showing you around their home town as opposed to an organised tour. Old Delhi and it's markets could definately be a bit intimidating on your own but with our guide I felt totally comfortable and would have definitely discovered a lot more about the area and streets than I would have on my own. It was great to use poublic transport to get around too. Lunch and a cup of chai along the way made you feel like one of the locals and it was interesting to learn about the history of this part of Delhi and also seek out the worship places of some of the different religions in the area. I couldn't recommend this tour more highly.

We did the Old Delhi Half Day Small Group Tour on 6 February 2012._br/_ We booked the tour through Viator and paid online. My husband and I are in our 50's and 60's. We like to see the old parts of cities and prefer to do so on foot._br/_ The walking was not strenuous at all and there were plenty of stops along the way. It was cool pleasant weather in February but I would say bring water if you go in the hot months.

The trip was okay once I took it. The company didn't understand where my hotel was, and instead of picking me up as agreed, told me to take the metro. If I could do that, I wouldn't need a guided tour! Finally they agreed to pick me up, but the driver came at the wrong time and couldn't speak English. But, I finally got there and had a nice tour. I had to pay for a taxi to get back to the hotel.

I loved this small group tour of Old Delhi and our guide was very good. We did not do much walking as got caught in a traffic jam while in a rickshaw down a little alley but that was fun too

The tour was a bit disjointed and a little confusing. The tour guide was not able to provide a cogent historical background at the start of the tour and from there was not able to place into context the sites we were visiting. In particular the visit inside the Red Mosque was completed without the tour guide. I did however find the tour a good introduction and was able to cover a fair bit of ground afterwards by myself. Given the price i think the value was reasonable.

Get ready for the real sights and sounds of Delhi, and to have you eyes opened. Although hotter than any human could reasonably endure, we enjoyed the half-day and got a very good feel for old Delhi, including the Sikh Temple, the Mosque and the old market. Keep your hands on your property because of the mass of humanity -- and as much as they tug at your heart, be prepared for beggar kids.

We thoroughly enjoyed this tour. The guide (Mohsin) was excellent and we felt that we learned so much about Old Delhi that we would not get from any guidebook or touring alone. All of our questions were answered and Mohsin took us to places where we would not have ventured in on our own.

This was a brilliant way to spend 4-5 hours and a great was to get a 'local' experience. Tour guide was very knowledgeable, experience was brilliant. Old Delhi is an interesting place that I would have struggled to navigate alone. I would definitely recommend this experience for anyone wanting to look further than the standard tourist attractions and touts in many other areas of Delhi.

Our guide was wonderful. He was extremely knowledgeable and made the tour fascinating. It was a complete experience, which included walking the back streets of Old Delhi, the Spice Market, and visiting a mosque and a Siikh Temple, as well as sampling some wonderful street food. I'd been so careful about what I was eating while in India, but he made the tasting of the food so tempting that I threw all caution to the wind and was so pleasantly rewarded. Some of the best food I'd had in India. The tour was all I'd hoped for.

This was an excellent tour with a great tour guide! It gave me a chance to experience the 'real' Delhi and take the photos to prove it. I would recommend this to any traveler because the guide was very professional and friendly. Although I had just met the guide his English was fantastic and I felt safe, this was an important aspect to me whilst being a lone female traveler.
