Very well organized. Hotels picked exceed my expectations. Three guides along the trip were all helpful and knowledgeable. Bear in mind the distances between one city and another are 200 kms but almost 4 hours in driving time because of traffic and road conditions. One thing about the guides, not only on this tour but all the tours I have taken within India, is that they all take you to a shop of their choosing so you can see how handcrafts are made: jewelry, carpets, spices, carvings, pottery, etc. Of course I thing the idea is that you buy something. Not sure if a commission goes to the guide. Anyway, there is plenty of time to explore on your own. A 6 hour tour is very exhausting given the heat and walking involved but if you managed to keep going you can tell the driver to take you somewhere.

The guides were great, the sights wonderful, the traffic scary, but the driver was very good. A few more stops would have been appreciated. the food was good, the hotels OK. The driver was always on time. Well worth the money.

I know that being taken to local shops is probably part of every tour experience but a warning would have been nice. In the printed itinerary it was said that we would have an afternoon on our own to explore the city, not an afternoon at garment or gem shops being aggressively touted goods that we really didn't want. Some tour leaders were worse than others, the gentleman Mahi in Agra was the best, the man in Jaipur that lead us was the worst taking us to several shops after our stated itineraries were completed prior to being taken back to the hotel. So awkward because we really aren't shoppers and were made to feel so guilty. Even our driver who we really liked brought us to an elephant farm where we were guilted into paying 10 to feed an elephant bananas._br/_ The itinerary in Jaipur also said we would be riding elephants into the Amber Fort which was not offered to us._br/_ The hotels were good except for the Fern in Jaipur, not at all near the city center, not close to anything really. The front desk staff was rude and tried to negotiate WIFI prices with us. The only hotel that charged for WIFI!_br/_ The highlight of the tour was our guide in Agra, Mahi who was extremely knowledgable about Agra and the Taj Mahal. Our photos at this site are amazing. _br/_ Our driver was indispensable too. Always very punctual._br/_ Overall great tour. thanks

Overall I'm happy that I booked this tour for my first trip to India. There is so much chaos everywhere and the traffic/driving is crazy! Our driver was great, always on time and could maneuver the roads and traffic like a pro. My only complaint is that he took us to an elephant farm where we were pressured into buying a package to feed an elephant. Not included in the itinerary. _br/_ Our guide Mahi in Agra was fantastic, so knowledagable and got us the best photos of the Taj Mahal. _br/_ The hotels were great except the Fern hotel in Jaipur. The staff there were extremely rude, charged for WIFI which we never received for the second day. Located far away from the city, nothing within walking distance._br/_ The tour itinerary should include the fact that we were taken to so many high pressure shops by our guides, to see local craftwork. These people are high pressure sales and made the tour so uncomfortable as we weren't really there to shop. Almost felt kidnapped. A warming that this was part of the tour would've been nice._br/_ No elephant ride in Jaipur which I believe I read was part of the itinerary prior to buying. This wasn't even offered to us. _br/_ The tour guide in Agra, Mahi and our driver saved the trip.

We loved the tour, particularly the Taj Mahal and Red Fort. We had a wonderful driver Raza who took great care to ensure our every need was met. We felt extremely safe on the roads in his care, even in the chaos that is india traffic! Mahi, our guide in Agra was also great - extremely well informed and helping us to get the best possible photos. We would highly recommend this tour.

This tour was amazing. Our driver, Raza, timely picked us up at our hotel and delivered us back.. He efficiently, comfortably and informatively drove us to Agra and Jaipor and met up with our 3 excellent guides, and picked great lunch stops and signed us into 3 beautiful hotels. A memorable trip.

The tour was great. Our driver and all of the local guides were great. The hotel in Agra was great. Our hotel in Jaipur, The Fern, was not great. Its a fancy new hotel, but located way out of town, and most importantly, the ONLY place in India that we weren't treated nicely. Had to pay for WiFi, had to pay for housekeeping fees, and Im pretty sure they tried to rip us off when exchanging money. Any other hotel in Jaipur would be better. Sorry for the complaint, but dear Viator, please consider a different hotel in Jaipur for other guests._br/_ Other than that, a fantastic trip. Thanks a lot. Nathan

Review by:   Ivan N.,    February 2015 Review: 1 star rating: I do not recommend this
A completely waste of money and time. The guides were useless, the hotels were dirty (the sheets were used from previous guests). I would recommend to book the hotels on your own and then arrange a driver from one place to another._br/_ The guides were more interested in shortening the tour to take us to the shops (where they have a commission) event if we told them that we were not interested in shopping at all. The explanations given were inaccurate and we even had to push them to explain things all the time. The guide in Fatehpur Sikri did not want us to go to Diwan-i-Kas, we had to insist and then he wanted us to pay extra (although tickets were included). Thank God we finally went there otherwise we would have missed the best part of the city and even of the trip itself! The guide in Jaipur lost us while we were queuing for the elephant ride to the Jaipur Fort (how can you lose two people in an elephant). We waited for 45 minutes in the Fort and when he appeared he yelled at us and refused to talk for the rest of the day. He only pointed out the name of three or four places during our visit at that is all. We did not enter Hawal Mahal because he told us that it was not possible to do so. _br/_ The first hotel was a nightmare. Norman Bates hotel. Dirt all over, dirty sheets, no heating, no hot water. We were told not to leave the hotel because it was dangerous since the hotel was in a bad neighbourhood. There was a leaking in the ceiling in the breakfast buffet. Everyone complained. I think that there was a Spanish couple that would file for divorce after that. Again, we had the problem with the sheet in the second hotel. We made an official complain. _br/_ The only positive thing of this tour was our driver. He took care of us all the time, he gave advice on where to go on the evenings and things to do. He was extremely nice to us. He was the only reason for not cancelling the tour and going back to Delhi on our own.

The trip was amazing. We ended up having a private tour instead a group tour because we were the only ones who booked for those dates. Guides, driver and organizer were all really nice and helpful. The hotels were always clean and with big rooms. We visited amazing places with the tour. Thank you

We had a very good driver who was incredibly accommodating and made sure that we got to see everything that we wanted to see. Every tour guide in India took us to overpriced gift shops that we thought were part of the trip. While in Jaipur, when we figured out that the "Gem factory" was not highly regarded and walked out, he continuously insisted in finding out why we did not buy anything. While in Agra they took us to a "carpet factory" were we again felt very pressured to shop. We believe that our sightseeing was cut short by the guides to, instead, take us to obscure shopping areas. The exception to this was our second guide in Agra, where he steered us away from stores and guarded us against street vendors.

The tour was great. The driver was friendly, polite knowledgable and was able to answer our many questions in good English. As we were there for Diwali, everywhere was very crowded but the guides managed to by-pass the queues. (although this made us feel a little guilty). I would prefer not to always be take by guides to shops and put under pressure to buy but this happens everywhere. The hotels in Agra and Jaipur were perfect, of a much higher standard than I was expecting as three star was the description in the itinerary. I would definitely recommend this tour as a compact, well organised way to see the Golden triangle in a short period of time.

Viator arranged for an amazing driver (Raza) who made me feel safe throughout the trip, which is important for a woman traveling alone. Raza and the the tour guides for Agra (Mehran) and Jaipur (Kahil) shared a lot about the Indian culture and their own lives, which made the trip more personal and insightful. The hotel in Jaipur was relaxing and had a tasty restaurant in the garden. The hotel in Agra was ok, but the bathroom could use updating. I would recommend this trip to anyone wanting to experience India with a helping hand :)

My sister and I had an amazing time in India! The driver (Sharwan) was very kind and helpful throughout the entire trip, he is an excellent driver, and even took us to the drugstore when my sister was feeling sick! The first tour guide we had in Agra (Mehran) was very nice, when he took us to the Taj Mahal, showed us some great spots to take pictures, and his tour was very detailed and organized! The tour guide in Jaipur (which I don´t even remember the name of) was pushing us to buy the pictures from the guys when we rode the elephants, he told us that if we didn´t buy the pictures, the guys would get mad at him! Luckly, we had already bought the pictures we wanted, but we felt a little threatened and obligated to buy the pictures! At the end, when we gave him his tip, he looked at the money we gave him and had a very disappointed look on his face as if he expected more, but we didn´t really feel he deserved more tip….and at any point..it is OUR choice if we tip or not! The organizer of the tour (Tushar) was extremely helpful too! He was constantly in touch with us throughout our stay in India asking us how it was going!

What a trip! Before leaving the UK I was initially worried as we hadn't been able to reconfirm our booking (it transpired that the e-mail address given to us at the time of booking, some months in advance, had changed) however, I need not have been concerned. The driver arrived at our hotel promptly and we were well looked after by the guides (which change each day) and the driver (who remains constant throughout the three days). The car provided was roomy and air conditioned and the conversation on the long drives relaxed and informative.

An excellent few days - hassle free and really well organised. Our driver Sarwa was fantastic - really helpful and patient. The local guides were very good as well. We stayed in the Howard plaza in Agra which was excellent; Jaipur hotel good but next to a loud venue. Overall, highly recommended.

Highly recommended to all, we were a group of 3 astro PhD students, and we had a great time. Had our own personal car and driver for the whole trip. All the guides were amazing, our driver was spectacular. They look after you and take you to all the best places/shops without you having to worry about a thing. Hotels were great. As a bonus we wanted to go to the Galtaji Temple (monkey temple) in Jaipur on the last morning, and our driver was very happy to take us there before we headed back to Delhi!

A really nice trip where you see the most exiting things in 3 days - good drivers and guidance at the locations - hotels ought to be classified lower than 4 and 5 star - extremely high level of noise until after midnight.

Tour was very good and appreciated the time with the local bilingual guides. Wish we would have had one between Agra and Jaipur. Heat was an issue and starting earlier would have been preferrable. Would have like to see the "little Taj" in Agra plus the other monumuent close to town. Should have taken in the Taj on the first night we arrived so we could have done other things the second day._br/_ Guides were fine when we had one._br/_ Driver was good but wish was more skilled in english to be able to better explain what we saw between Agra and Jaipur and Jaipur and Delhi._br/_ Hotels were fine.

The program was excellent. The separate guides at Agra (Mehran), Fatehpur Sikri (Ali), and Jaipur (Deepak) were all great and the driver Rajesh for the 4 days was extremely competent and obliging. I was very gratified to have some add ons to the official program on day 2 in the form of several hours at Keoladeo Nat Park and a visit to the Chand Bowari temple both of which were sensational. Accommodation at the Raj Mahal (Agra) and Fern (Jaipur) was high quality while not being swamped with busloads of tourists. I was very pleased I selected Viator.

Man, I wish every tour operated this smoothly and worry-free! The guides were fantastic and personable. The locations visited were remarkable. The Taj Mahal, of course, is the highlight. But our family equally enjoyed Agra fort and the elephant ride to Amber fort. We didn't love the hotel in Agra, but The Fern in Jaipur was charming and comfortable. Our driver was fantastic. I love how he treated my children also -- very patient and caring.

Top quality tour... four of us had a private driver (Arif) for the whole tour and thoroughly enjoyed it. All guides were very helpful and knowledgable. It was a great way to get around a large park of India in a short space of time. Our driver Arif also recommened dinner locations so we could see Indian dancing whilst in Jaipur. He was a class act and really made the trip for the 4 of us.

I would have to recommend this trip to anyone visting for the first time. All the hassle is taken out and the sights can be enjoyed with no worries about arrangements.._br/_ Taj Mahal and Amber Fort are the absolute highlights and will stay in my memory forever. Another, and unexpected, highlight was the traffic. An overwhelming mixture of livestock, millimeter driving and 'ghost-traffic' also made a lasting impression. Only the skills of the very courteous driver prevented a large number of casualties. _br/_ On the downside (hence not 5 stars), the hotels (especially the one in Agra) were substandard and the guides insisted on bringing me to shops for the commision part of their (small) income._br/_ But, all-in-all, unforgetable .....

Not quite sure how to rate this tour. We got our money's worth at the Taj Mahal, so the whole trip was worth the time and discomfort of travel. Our car was very small, and for the two of us scrunched in the back seat it was a challenge to keep our spirits up. That said, no one will ever get a better bird's eye view of the REAL countryside and lives of the Indian people. We couldn't stop gawking at the colors- saris, vegetable stands, mustard fields, red stone, white marble, garbage...... and animals-elephants, camels, cows, chickens. dogs, monkeys, water buffalo... and vehicles- tuk tuks, huge loads on little trucks, motorcycles everywhere, little cars, big cars, bicycles........and people everywhere._br/_ Our hotels were disappointing as they were to be 4 star, but in fact were very, very filthy. I wore my flip flops so I could tolerate the shower. I don't know what can be done about this, as the standard in the country is not like our Western standards, but maybe ask for an upgrade to a five star in Agra and in Jaipur._br/_ Our guides were reasonable. Our driver spoke little English, but was very dear, prompt, and agreeable. The tours were priceless. We ended up thrilled with our trip, but paid a price. Ask for a 4 wheel drive vehicle if you need some wiggle room in your car.

Very nice driver and over all very informative tour! We had several various tour guides- and although that became a bit confusing, it was an unforgettable experience. The hotels were average - better in Jaipur than Agra.

This was a truely memorable trip with excellent guides at each place and our driver Ajmer was brilliant. While I was nervous that the original hotels got changed, I need not have been concerned. In fact the hotel in Jaipur was more central that the original one noted. _br/_ I would thoroughly recommend this trip to anyone.

We are very glad that we took this tour as it allowed us to see places that we would not have been able to see by ourselves, in such a short time, without a lot of stress! We were looked after the whole time by honest, hard working people and we appreciated the extra efforts they went to regularly.
