Dublin Traditional Irish House Party including Dinner and Show
Dublin, Ireland
Welcome to the party! A traditional Irish house party is the perfect introduction to Dublin, with great entertainment and a warm and friendly atmosphere. You'll enjoy good food, local musicians, storytellers and dancing on an evening out that's unlike any other you'll experience in Dublin.
The Irish House Party is Dublin’s unmissable Irish music and dance show. Now in its sixth successful year it is hosted by All Ireland champion musicians, dancers and entertaining presenters in an intimate and homely dinner theater setting.
No Irish house party is complete without a good meal beforehand and you will be served a delicious three-course Irish dinner. Once you have finished your meal, the music, singing and dancing begins.
The show is suitable for all ages, and families with children are welcome. You can take part in the entertainment as much as you like, or simply sit back in comfortable surroundings and enjoy a presentation about traditional music and dancing, traditional live music and a dancing session as well as storytelling. During the evening you will also have a chance to learn a song in the Irish language with a songbook, try some simple Irish dancing and potentially perform something yourself!
Great meal and entertainment. Very intimate Dinner and Show, not a lot of people. Great Irish Experience!

This House Party was so much fun for our last night in Dublin- great intro to Irish music, instruments, and dance, along with the performers’ lovely humor. This is a very family friendly, all ages show, with the added benefit of a smoke free venue.

We went on St. Paddy's Day. A wonderful experience, I highly recommend. Great Food,Drink and Service. Traditional Irish Music and dance. Loved it!

Not what we were expecting but still enjoyed it._br/_ This wasn't the lively dancing and drinking party we expected but more of a subtle sing along where you learn about the history of the instruments and dance. _br/_ The food was good, songs were lovely, dance was good. Just don't come expecting a party.

Start was a little late but the people were beyond friendly, the music was delightful and traditional and the stories were interesting. They shared heritage that we were unaware of.

Our group really enjoyed this event. We arrived a bit early so had a beer in their bar before being ushered to the dining room. The 4 of us in our party all ordered something different and each dish was excellent. You cant always say that about dinner theatre. After dinner we went upstairs for the entertainment where we were seated in a circle around the room. There were no more than 30-35 people so it felt like a real Irish hooley. All of the entertainers were wonderful....very talented and professional. This is a must-do while in Dublin. So much fun!!

This was so fun I would highly recommended it. The dinner was delicious and generous. There were four of us and each person had a different entree. Each one of us were very happy with our choice. The show was great. The musicians were very talented and made the evening very fun. This is a small venue, maybe 36 people, so it feels like you at a large house party, You can actually interact with the servers and performers.

Fun and music and foreign instruments. Not as good as Riverdance.

We attended the Irish party Dinner and Show in October, and the Show is AMAZING. Love them the music made me want to get_br/_ up and dance. _br/_ The Dinner was good but a bit dry. The veggies looked to be from a can. And the poor staff were quiet busy running around to get_br/_ everything done. They did a great job.

Our visit to Ireland was a first for us, and we did everything on our own. We were not part of a tour group. Because we are not late night people, we opted to book this dinner and show at the charming Landsdowne Hotel in Dublin. We were lucky to get a table for two. It seemed like seating accommodated tour groups who sat at long tables for ten. Nevertheless, we were given menus which included selections for your first course and entrée. The staff did a wonderful job serving the food, beer and wine from the bar. Dessert is included too. It is an intimate experience. While many might label this touristy, it was a very nice way to be experience Ireland without pub hopping and trying to find a place to sit. The entertainment was quite fun and informative. We would book this again. It is a great way to begin a trip.

This was highly entertaining and fun. The musicians were wonderful and quite talented, and we even got to experience some traditional Irish dancing. However, I wouldn't say that this is not to be missed. Although a nice evening, it rather lacked in spontaneity and felt like kind of a touristy sort of thing. That being said, it was a good evening and we enjoyed ourselves highly.

The entertainment was great, but the food and drink was very mediocre.
Review by: fschillingjr, September 2017
The food was good but not great. The performers were just OK but could have been better._br/_ This location is in a basement and difficult for people that cannot do a lot of stairs.

A great evening filled with Irish Music and Dance. We only attended for the entertainment portion of the evening. Nice to learn about Irish Musical Instruments as well as Irish Dance. Lots of funny stories and jokes. A good night.

This was a very entertaining evening for both old and young. The musicians were wonderful and shared information about the traditional Irish instruments. The dancing was a treat and the young girls really enjoyed getting on stage to take part. The ambiance of the inn was another hit. We enjoyed pre-dinner cocktails in the pub and then a great dinner while enjoying the show.

I can't say any more than this event was great craic Irish for fun!_br/_ Our hotel was near embassy row. I had no idea that this pub was no more than a 15 minute walk from where we were staying. This was perfect since we had arrived at 4:15am and had no sleep. I did not want the hassle of going too far. _br/_ The dinner was in a very intimate room upstairs. The room had great art hanging on the wall making room very cozy. There were small tables so couples could sit alone together if they wanted to. There were larger tables for larger groups. There were a few appetizer, entrée and dessert selections. The food was phenomenal and the servers were so friendly. One server spent some time telling us how she was from Brazil and had just arrived in Ireland to learn English. There is full bar service at an additional charge._br/_ After dinner, we went downstairs to enjoy an hour and a half of music and Irish step dancing. This was a very relaxing way to spend our first night in Ireland and to introduce us to the Irish culture.

The venue was further out from central city than expected. No help with taxi for return at end of evening. Entertainment quite good but food not good with little choice. Decor of venue could be improved to help set ambience. The Arlington venue was much better in all aspects.

Excellent informative entertainment. Venue not great although meal was more than adequate
Review by: roberta.faksum, May 2017
The dinner was a little below the avarage. We had a vegetable soup as our starter. It was very salty, but, tasty. My main course was salmon, that was very over cooked. Really, really dry. The sides were bland. Carrots over cooked, peas under cooked and the potatoes had no taste at all. My husband had the meat stew. He is a meat lover and didn't manage to eat all the meat, due a bad taste. The dessert was a very dried chocolate cake that nobody manage to have more than 2 bites. The show was OK. However everybody on the place agreeded tha we eanted to see more of the traditional irish dance. The dancer was also a singer on the band and played some traditional old instrument. She really danced very well, but, it was not that much... at least not AS much as we and the people arround us were expecting.

We had a lovely time at this dinner and show. The food was very good with options for the vegan and kids in our family, and the staff friendly. The true fun is the band and their show. The House Party band was excellent, we bought thier CD to bring home a taste of Irish music. The seating is 'family style at long tables, so be prepared to make new friends. We met some friends from Belgium, and a fun couple from England celebrating a birthday. _br/_ We would do it again!

We were quite disappointed with the evening. The presentation was less than what Viator represented. Firstly, the meal was OK: nothing bad, yet nothing stood out as anything better than merely OK. After dessert, we waited for the coffee, which was stated on the Viator site to follow the 3-courses. Others in the room did receive coffee, but it was not offered to our table. When I asked the server for coffee, she said it was not included with our package.

A brilliant evening - the food was surprisingly good, considering they were catering for 80 covers, and plentiful. The entertainment was very entertaining. The only downside for our party was being allocated the table beside the stage which meant a number of the party couldn't actually see the stage.

Show was neat but the room was small and food wasn't what I read that we were having
