Viator provided incorrect information regarding this excursion. We waited for an hour and went to the location we were supposed to access our passes only to find they didn't open for another two hours. We were told the wrong hop on, hop off bus. There are at least three and the correct one was not written anywhere on our passes or information we received. and many of the attractions included are free anyway, so we didn't even come close to breaking even on this tour. Plus I had a question and didn't receive a relevant helpful response, kept getting the same answers, and was given an incorrect phone number which wasted additional money. Extremely disappointed with viator.

This bus tour passed every major sight in Dublin and I would definitely recommend it. I did this tour on day one, after I checked into my hotel to help me determine what I wanted to do the rest of my trip. It was easy, the audio portion was available in multiple languages and the staff was helpful.

Hop On Hop Off Bus covered the sightseeing venues of Dublin.

A great value! So many things to do that I got the 3 day pass. Be aware 24 hr hop on hop off bus is only for 1 day, you will need to buy additional days from the driver. You can go to the same attraction once every day. Well worth the money!
Review by: pq55, October 2017
The card is a must! You can return once a day at each attraction. It was the first time we saw that. No way you loose money with that!

The Hop on Hop off bus was great, but watch out for the airport bus to town as part of our package Bus driver left my cousin and I with our luggage, 3 miles from our hotel. He was suppose to leave us at Hauston station which was one block from our hotel. Therefore had to flag down a cab and pay additional 18 euros to get there.

The price of the ticket paid for the Guiness Storehouse, Jameson Distillery and the Wax museum. All in all I guess we broke even on that...but still not sure it was worth it. We ended up walking a lot because the buses are NEVER on time and we spent a lot of valuable time waiting around at the stops. Maybe if you get a VERY early start and have a multiple day pass it would be a better value but for our one day not sure it was worth.
Review by: Taylor P, October 2017
This is worth it because the cost to get into Jameson Distillery, Christ Church, Guinness Storehouse, and the hop-on bus is worth the price alone. There is no way you could shove 30 attractions into one day but the point of it is to give a selection. The ride from the airport was also nice! It's a little tricky but you exit the airport to where the buses, shuttles, taxies, etc are, you have to go to the bus stop to activate your card which is to your left when you exit. I wish Viator had some more instructions on this part because we were a little lost for a bit but otherwise, it's worth the money. You won't really use the hop on bus a lot though. It's easy to walk to most things in Dublin since it is such compact city.

The hop on hop off buss ticket is only good for one day and is NOT reliable. Waited over an hour for a route B bus and it NEVER came. You can buy an extra day for only 6.50 euros which is nice. All the attractions are GREAT! Never had a problem with them. LOVED Guinness!

The Dublin Pass was a great way of seeing a lot of Dublin in one day. My wife and I visited Christ Church Cathedral, Saint Patrick's Cathedral, Dublin Castle, Dublinia, the Guinness Storehouse, and Teelings Distillery all in one day. It was a huge help at Guinness because the line was probably well over an hour line but having the Dublin Pass let us bypass the line. My advice would be to come up with a game plan before starting your day and to start your day as early as possible the cathedrals open around 9 a.m.

We had a great time, this ticket got us in to locations at the front of the line ..it was also a great way to see Dublin in a short time
Review by: Deborah H, October 2017
The Hop on was NOT a hop on hop off. Every stop the driver had to sell tickets and it took forever between stops. We bought a three-day pass and the second day the driver wouldn't let us on unless we paid six more Euros. WHAT A RIP OFF. I know I was scammed. He told me to read the fine print. I did ant it was good for THREE CONSECUTIVE DAYS. Do not use this company. I will NEVER use them again and I am a world traveler.

The Dublin Pass with Hop-on Hop-Off Tour does not provide value for the cost. Minimal information provided regarding how to actually activate the pass and it was a competing vendor that gave directions to the location to activate as well as where the bus stopped. The Hop-On Hop-Off covers many of the same roads/sites multiple times in one trip due to backtracking. At 52 Euro per person, we could have saved money by catching local transportation and paying the rates at each venue. I would suggest checking admission rates for venues you wish to visit and evaluating if the cost of the Pass is worth it - in our case it wasn't!

Excellent value and terrific way to access the unlimited sights in Dublin. Entry to over 30 attractions, including the Guinness Storehouse, was a fantastic deal. As with Edinburgh, a terrific and essential way to get an introduction to the city.

Have a plan, do your research and totally worth it
Review by: Dawne P, September 2017
This is a great deal because you really do skip the lines and get free or reduced entry into many attractions. You have to be careful though because it is one day for the attractions, not 24 hours. They are very good about telling you this though._br/_ You have to plan your day. Don't skip an attraction like number 5 the art gallery to do number 17 first and return later to 5 . It is a long tour and to return later is difficult. Organize yourself and do,the stops in order. Would highly recommend buying this tour.

Enjoyed the skip the line feature at Guinness. Saved us lots of time. Found the Irish rock and roll hall of fame a surprise. Lovely tour.
Review by: Cecilia C, September 2017
Didn't include 2 main attractions which is the Book of Kells and the Jail. Guiness storehouse tasting room excellent
Review by: Kurt S, September 2017
Good value if you plan to visit many of the attractions. Hop-on/hop-off feature of the bus not really true to its name, as we waited quite long times for bus at stops, and ended up just walking instead of waiting. Two of our rides there was a pre-recorded narrator not live driver describing the sights. Note that 2-day pass that we purchased only includes 24 hours of the bus, not 48 ...and they are sticklers for the time stamp.

The Guinness brewery was great fun and indeed the whole city ,or those bits we saw, is lovely and we are would love to return. The GPO was also very interesting and made you think about some of the lesser known parts of our history.

So worth the money !!! My 5 kids ages 18 to 27 loved going everywhere.....we took Bar hopping to a new level !!

Great tours as always with this type. Enjoyed the bus trip the complete circuit to get an idea of where everything was before actually hopping off. Also allowed me to work out which atttactions i could actually walk too rather than catch a bus._br/_ Discounts provided in book were great. Got in Zoo free.
Review by: Shirley H, August 2017
The bus pass is so handy and you can hop from one attraction to the next and you recoup the value of the ticket via free of discounted entry to the attractions.
Review by: Jill S, August 2017
Great way to start a trip. List of attractions gives you an instant starting part of the highlights of what to do and see in and around Dublin. We used for several exhibits and easily covered the price of the pass. Please note, if you want to visit the Gael, make reservations, it was sold out the day we wanted to visit.

Fantastic tour of the city with relevant facts about buildings and history of the area. We really enjoyed the tour
Review by: Penny S L, March 2017
This is always worth it! Dublin was fun to see on this Hop-On Hop-Off. Don't miss the Zoo! We only had two days to see Dublin--not enough time!
Review by: Katja, February 2017
Dublin Pass is a very convenient way to discover the city, it gives you free and easy access to most top attractions in town, and for example in Guinness Storehouse it sped up our entry significantly, too, which was a bonus! It comes with a handy guidebook and a little map too to help you navigate around Dublin. Recommended!
Review by: sallycalabrese, January 2017
Always a great way to see the city. I purchased tickets online before the trip. _br/_ The bus picked us up at the airport. We purchased the extra day and Dublin Museum Pass on the bus._br/_ This made an easy, quicker trip for our first trip to Dublin.

Great way to see Dublin and discover the main attractions, as well as to get around the city. Cheaper than taxis and even the public bus if you add in the discounts and passes to main attractions. Consider the multiday pass for the best value.
Review by: Kayla, November 2016
It was a great way to get around the city, but the buses weren't frequent enough in my opinion when we tried getting off and back on.
Review by: Dominic V, November 2016
Amazing journey to have a magnificent panoramic view of Dublin especially incredible historical sites that I enjoyed.
Review by: Drube, November 2016
It does not include many major attractions, including Kilmainham Gaol, the Whiskey Museum, and Book of Kells. Lots of attractions included are not what I would consider must see. The Hop-On Hop-Off Bus is only for 24 hours. The normal cost is 19 Euro for the bus or 22 Euro for 48 hours but there is another company offering a bus tour that is just as good for 10 Euro for 24 hours or 18 Euro for 48 hours, so you're really not saving that much money using the pass. Plus many attractions have combo prices or discounts if you know where to find them, so the Dublin Pass didn't really save that much money.
Review by: mlangor, October 2016
Well worth the money. We saved a lot with the Dublin pass and we only used it for 6 or 7 things.
Review by: meng.huey.lim, October 2016
Had an excellent tour! The bus driver are really professional in introducing the places we passed by. Derek, one of the most entertaining driver I ever met! He even sang lovely songs with his excellent voices!! Highly recommended to get the dublin pass! I took 2days pass, actually went to Guinness storehouse twice! You are allow to enter for free for all the important attraction site once a day!!
Review by: ann b, September 2016
Correction...this is the pass that got us virtually into every attraction free. Paid for itself and more...so convenient.
Review by: Joan P, September 2016
Good value for your money if you are able to take in the sights that are included in the price.
Review by: gpeters.nc, September 2016
long line make that queue to pick up pass at airport, but then bus transfer to downtown hotel district was smooth and paid for. Walked 1-1/2 blocks from bus stop to hotel. There are multiple on/off bus tour services in Dublin this uses the red ones. I might caution users that because of geography, timing at attractions, and other peripheral activities, there is no possible way anyone is going to hit the 30 sites in 3 days, certainly not in 2 days. I think we hit 4, but we were well served to use the express lines and not have to deal with handling money at admissions.
Review by: Andy W, September 2016
Would have been a great deal if I would have used it more.
Review by: Andrew M, August 2016
Dublin is a wonderful place to visit and by getting this pass you get to see alot of it. Plus it includes a bus ride from the Airport into Dublin.
Review by: Lisa G, August 2016
The pass covered a great deal of sights but so hard to do in 2 days. We arrived late at night so we could not pick up pass air airport so we had to go to TI office. Also you should note that hop on hop off bus tour is only good for 24 hrs but you can get anxtra day for 3 euro just save yr initial bus receipt.
Review by: Elizabeth M, August 2016
The Dublin Pass provided a comfortable and convenient atmosphere to see the top Dublin tourist attractions in one day.
Review by: Ali J, August 2016
What an awesome way to experience downtown Dublin without renting a car! The Hop On/Hop Off is hands down perfect for solo travelers, couples, and maybe even a bigger group. Simply printed out the PDF at home, presented it to the office on O'Connell, and received the plastic card. Would have been nice to have the summarized instructions easy to access but once you're in Dublin, it's very easy to navigate.

It basic need of tourist is transport service which this pass can not covered. I paid transportation cost doubled of this pass.
Review by: Jacob R, July 2016
I bought the 2-day pass for my wife and me. This was a complete waste of money.
Review by: theboedigheimers, July 2016
Worth the money if you can get everything in!
Review by: Judy B, July 2016
The lack of receiving our tickets in advance resulted in a loss of precious time. It took over an hour to find the office. Then an inconsiderate female employee was dismissive of us even when the clients she was attending insisted that we be serve us. only a minute to print our ticket. USE ANOTHER

Does not include Kilmainham Gaol, or the Irish Whiskey Museum. Basically a good way to skip the line at a few places, like the Guiness tour and maybe some museums. Purchased a 5-day pass and basically got a few free bus tours.

This is a must if wanting to see the best of Dublin. So much to see and comes with heaps of free entry and skip the line entrances too. Brilliant value for money and came with a 2 day free Hop on Hop off bus voucher as well.

Nice trip, seemed to cover all the bases.
Review by: m-bacon, June 2016
This was a very convenient way to get into many attractions. We only had a one day pass but we were able to use it at four different places and were able to bypass lines at the Guinness Museum. I would rate it higher but we did not find the Hop on Hop off bus very useful. We waited 25 minutes for a bus to take us from Christ Church to the Guinness Museum. We could have walked the distance in less time.
