Krakow in One Day Sightseeing Tour

Krakow, Poland

For over a thousand years, Krakow has been the center of science, culture and art in Poland. Come and see for yourself upon boarding the Krakow City Sightseeing Tour by Coach. You'll see the likes of Wawel Castle and Cathedral, the Rynek Glowny, Main Market Square and St Mary's Church. It's a fine introduction to this historic city!

Your tour begins with a short walk along the streets of the former Jewish district of Kazimierz. Next, Wawel Hill, crowned by Wawel Castle and Wawel Cathedral and the seat of royal power up until the 17th century. The Castle was home to many Polish kings and queens and the royal crypts in the Cathedral their final resting place, along with several other Polish heroes.

A walk up Grodzka street leads you to the heart of Krakow, the Rynek Glowny, or Main Market Square. There the large Gothic Cloth Hall is the perfect place to shop for local souvenirs.

The last sightseeing stop is the twin-spired St Mary's Church with its famous medieval altar by Wit Stwosz and where, every hour the brave trumpeter of Krakow still calls out his warning.

I was lucky enough to be one of two people on this tour so it felt like I had a guide just to myself : walking through Krakow, the castle and then back at the Mariacki in time to hear the 12 0 clock trumpet. This tour was really worthwhile

The guide spoke very softly and her English was not good.

Our city guide Bruno was very professional and fun to talk to. The guide in the Wawel Castle was so difficult to understand and so quick to run through the rooms, I had to go back the next day and do it over because I felt like I haven't seen enough.

Very good guide, tour was interesting. Too long in the palace. After awhile all the rooms looked alike. Tour ended and we had now idea how to get back to our hotel.

Good morning walking around Krakow. Time is always a constraint in these types of activities.

Castle tour was great! Our tour guide inside the castle was knowledgeable and easy to understand. The rest of the tour lacked the historical knowledge we were expecting.

My wife and I feel in Love with Krakow as a result of this tour. 5.5 hours of walking and every minute was great. Our tour guide, David, loved his city and made us love it too.

Our guide was wonderful, we were a small group of English speaking guests and she made the tour very interesting. It was a great overview of the city, and gave you information on where you may want to back to spend more time. The tour included the tour of the castle, which was not obvious by the description in the overview of the tour. This really is a must to do

Nice way to get introduced to the city. Beata was full of knowledge and stories about the places we visited. Wished we had more time to see other parts of Wawel like Dragon's Den or the Cathedral. Only 5 people in the tour meant more chances to ask questions or to focus on specific details. Overall, very good!

Our guide took us to important historical places in Warsaw, including the castle and cathedral. She did an excellent job with our small group of six._br/_ I highly recommend this tour.

Paid over 100 for 3 adults , worst trip I have been on. Booked it for a Monday , halfway through the trip the guide who's name was Suzanna I think, informed us that the palace was shut on a Monday so we couldn't go in.Most of the trip seemed to centre on the churches, and who from royalty was buried there. This trip should not be offered to people who want to visit on a Monday, as far as we were concerned maybe worth a 10. Also I think that a visit to Schindlers factory should be included as the trip was so padded out with the usual birthday and death day of the royalty and bishops.Dont book this trip on a Monday when the so called Guide didn't even know the palace was shut !!!!

Picked us up at hotel at exact time scheduled. Small group so we got great individual attention from tour guide. Tour was well organized and comprehensive. Good overview of the major things to see in Krakow.

Excellent tour guide (Conrad). We had a short but interesting visit to the Jewish part of town. We had an in depth visit to the castle. We had a pleasant walk through part of the old town. Our guide was passionate, professional, and pleasant.

Wish there were a way to rate the tour company and the tour guide separately. Our tour guide was a definite 5 stars. She was very knowledgeable about the city and provided us with a very comprehensive and interesting tour. The tour company however was a disorganized mess. Evidently several buses picked up people for different tours at different hotel then all met up at a specified location and swapped out passengers so that everyone was then with their designated tour group. There was a lot of sitting and waiting. It was a very inefficient way of handling the groups in my opinion.

Not great but not bad either. It and #39;s a good way to see the city with some cultural insight.

Very enjoyable tour with a knowledgeable guide. We saw parts of the city I'm sure we would have missed without a guide. Quite a lot of the tour is on foot but it was all done at an easy pace and was not too strenuous.

Nice guide, good planning of the tour so that we saw Kazimierz, Kungens pales, trumpet church at the city square, old university. It would be intersting to go inside of the university och learn more about Copernicus. Good advise about restaurants in the centrum. A lot of stories about historiska links between Poland, Sweden, UK, Russia, about modern Poland and Krakows development._br/_ Its a little bit difficult with coins in Poland, to pay you car parking, no one wants to change more than 10 pzl and you need 30pzl a day. There is no change automats either. So if you don't have a card with rfid function, gather coins!

This tour had potential, but was by far the worst Viator tour I've experienced. Our guide was slow, did not seem very knowledgeable on several topics, interjected way too much personal information, and seemed like she was doing everything she could to kill time just to cover the 4 hour tour period. We could have seen and done so much more so much quicker. The tour was so bad that my family and I all collectively agreed to bail on it before it even finished and do our own sight seeing for the rest of the time.

Good guide and places to see, but, like other tours, too many people make a rushed experience. Population overload lowers quality of life.

Susannah was really engaging and did a great job introducing us to the old town area. Her tour of Krakow Castle and the Cathedral was a spot-on, hitting the highlights. Let's face it, even if you lived in Krakow, you probably wouldn't get to see everything there is to see. But Susannah gave us a nice understanding of Polish history, Krakow history, Polish religious life both Catholic and Jewish now and then, and explained some of why things are they way they are today. Disclaimer: I have a history/anthropology undergraduate degree and a graduate degree in anthropology. I am a history buff and love social, cultural, and historical stuff. We were also the only people on her tour that day so I think she may have tailored things according to our questions. But all in all, very pleased with our tour.

My guide was excellent and made sure I experienced all aspects of Krakow despite the fact I was the only guest on this tour. We walked through many areas of the city experiencing the Jewish Quarter, the Bishop's church, Europe's largest market square, numerous churches, and the university. It was particularly interesting talking with the guide about her life during the Soviet era compared to the present. I would definitely recommend this tour to start a visit in Krakow.

We were the only two tourists for that day but our lovely guide soldiered on in the cold wind and brought us on an enjoyable trip to see the Jewish Quarter and majestic Wawel Castle with it's royal treasures and rich legends. We even managed to see the painting of the Lady with the Ermine ! It was a Sunday, so the churches were not accessible in the morning. Our guide brought us to visit one of the oldest synagogues in the Jewish Quarter instead, which was an eye-opener for us as we have never been in one before. She was very helpful and pointed out other tourist attractions and restaurant recommendations for us.

There wasn't a lot of point going to the Jewish quarter other than very few remain in Kraków. The castle tour was interesting, but no photos were allowed in the cathedral and church. The walking tour was okay, but not that informative.

IT WAS, HOWEVER A PAIN IN THE ---TRYING TO GET TO A HOTEL THAT I WOULD BE PICKED UP AT. AND THEN THE COST OF RETURNING TO MY HOTEL ADDED EVEN MORE EXPENSE. TAXI FARES TO AND FROM CAME TO 50 PLN. OUR TOUR DIRECTOR WAS GOOD. WAS NOT EXPECTING SUCH A LONG BUNCH OF WALKS. wISHED WE HAD TAKEN ONE OF THE FREE WALKING TOURS OR THE ELECTRIC CAR TOURS.

Our guide was amazing and Her knowledge was fantastic. It is an absolutely ideal way to see the city and learn about the history. It is mainly a walking tour and it rained most of the time but that didn't dampen her enthusiasm. The city is quite compact so it easy to walk round even after the tour. We visited several places again later in our trip.

Great tour and very knowlegeable guide, although her English was a bit difficult to understand at times. A lot of walking, which your original description glosses over a bit. Great section of the tour dealing with the Wawel Castle, which was the main reason I booked it in the first place.

Fabulously knowledgeable guide with lots of interesting stories. Misleading online description - sounds like a coach trip. Only on coach for 10 minutes, then a walking tour for three and a half hours over cobbled streets. Well worth it though! Itineraries could do with a couple of coffee breaks, as the whole group struggled to keep going on a hot sunny day.

The trip started with a brief walking tour of the Jewish district followed by a comprehensive visit to Wawel Castle and Cathedral. There was a brief stop before a walk down to the old town concluding matters at St Mary's Church. This was a tour well led by Conrad and the weather was glorious. Please note that this is mainly a walking tour so is unsuitable for anyone who is infirm. Overall a good introduction to Kraków.
