Spend a day away from Sin City to marvel at the wonders of Mother Nature on this day trip to Bryce Canyon National Park in Utah. You’ll be picked up from your Las Vegas hotel in the morning and taken on a comfortable 4.5-hour drive by minivan to beautiful Bryce Canyon National Park in Utah. Enjoy a light morning snack including a muffin, juice, crackers and granola bar. When you arrive, your guide will take you to the visitor center to get you acquainted with the park, famous for its gorgeous landscape of geological mazes.
Follow your guide on several light walks to scenic lookout points along the canyon’s rim to admire incredible horseshoe-shaped amphitheaters, hoodoos (thin rock spires), windows and fins made of colorful limestone rocks.
At Inspiration Point, three levels provide great perspectives of the main amphitheater. See the gnarled trunks of bristlecone pines and red hoodoos set against the Boat Mesa formation. If you look carefully as you walk through these barren slopes, you might discover a short-horned lizard trying to remain camouflaged!
Head to Sunset Point, offering vistas of some of Bryce Canyon’s most breathtaking hoodoos. Admire the rainbow of colors of the Claron Formation and learn how this unique rock is composed of limestone deposited approximately 50 million years ago from an ancient lake.
Your guide will also take you to Sunrise Point, where you’ll see stark pink cliffs and ponderosa pines dominating the forest above the rim.
If you wish to explore further at any of these points, ask your guide about the best trails and head below the rim on your own for more challenging hikes.
You’ll spend approximately three hours in the park. At midday, enjoy a picnic lunch or lunch at a restaurant, depending on the weather. After your tour of Bryce Canyon, relax on the drive back to your Las Vegas hotel.

We had a great experience using Detours a travel planning company thru this website. Our guide James provided a wonderful experience throughout the journey. Great conversations, perfect stops and made it back in good time. James knew a lot of trivia about these towns and places.. which was useful. Also, gave tips re other places we were visiting during this vacation. food provided was okay moe choices is better.. this is not a cheap trip pp basis. also, the shuttle bus seemed somewhat old and not so quiet. I would recommend James and this trip anyday!

This tour was absolutely fantastic and I would totally do this again if I was in vegas. The guide was unbelievably good at what he does. Knowledgeable, funny and really good at knowing the best camera shots. Me and my two friends had a great day in the park even though it snowed the whole time and we were frozen!!! If even it's a very long drive from Las Vegas, it definitely worth it. Bryce Canyon is a great natural place and for me more impressive than Grand Canyon. Our tour guide Greg was also great and did everything to make us live the journey and the place. I'd highly recommend this tour.

I thoroughly enjoyed the 4.5 hour drive to the canyon as there is great scenery all the way: even in the desert there are mountain ranges on both sides in the distance. Our Detours guide James had interesting tidbits of information all the way. The restroom / snackshop breaks were reasonable, with offers of more should anyone need it. _br/_ The lunch offering was generously sized and tasty. _br/_ Bryce Canyon is a stunning sight well worth the 550 mile round trip. The time allocated at the 3 viewing points was quite sufficient. _br/_ A great outing!

Awesome trip with our fabulous guide, Greg. We rebooked with Viator after a very bad and rude experience trying to book with a different company. DETOURS picked us up at the hotel in a brand new, comfy passenger van. Greg gave the 8 of us a wonderful narrated tour all the way to the canyon. Appropriate E-mails prior to the trip reminded me to ring in advance to check that the trip was still possible and to confirm pickup arrangements.The girl thought we would be back in Vegas before 7.30pm and that tennis shoes would be appropriate.The original advice was that this would be a 15hr trip and that sturdy footware and a waterproof would be recommended. With stops the trip took exactly 15hrs,there was visible snow too so the firmer shoe a fleece and backup waterproof were important. Water was provided, a cereal bar,sandwich lunch and toilet stops were arranged appropriately._br/_ Hal the driver was pleasant at all times and drove with skill through what was a long day out . Hal provided historical notes throughout and details about tectonic plates,volcanic activity and the origins of the many interesting features we encountered._br/_ There were six of us in the van. A few of us were there for photography so Hal made sure there were viewing stops,some wanted a short hike and others needed a day out of Vegas. All had a great time and I think we all felt the trip was well organised and went to plan. There could have been more photo stops and of course the vast majority of the time is spent in the van. Trying to do all this in one day works but in retrospect a stopover and other park visits would be better. I did get some great 'photos and appreciate this trip is designed for those who can only take one day out of theis Vegas trip._br/_ Needless to say Bryce was awesome and Red canyon picturesque Coral pink sand dunes was a colourful surprise. Hal' running commentary continued, clearly he had done his research._br/_ I would definitely like to see this part of Utah again and would like to take in the Grand canyon, Zion,Lake Powell and anything else this beautiful state has to offer.

Simply amazing! It is in fact a long day However, totally worth it. This company is very professional. A in costumer satisfaction. The views are perfect and our tour guide Bob was beyond great. He was so knowledgeable . He listened to our suggestions and incredibly approachable. There are enough comfort breaks and the lunch was exquisite. The canyon is beautiful and so peaceful. Make sure to check the weather before hand because it can get chilly.

Though I ended up with the Grand Canyon West Rim tour due to a low enrollment to the Bryce Canyon tour for the date of my tour, it was still a great trip. A very long day, but well worth the trip. Bryce Canyon is amazing. We had three stops around the canyon with enough time to wander around at your own leisure. Additional stops we made to overlook Zion national park and visit Red Canyon and there were enough comfort stops on the way. We also had a great tour guide. The only thing we didn't realise was how much cooler Bryce canyon would be 8,000 feet. Luckily our tour guide provided ponchos and umbrellas but take a jacket.

A seriously long day but with the most spectacular scenery. Hal our guide was very knowledgeable and told us things about the history and geology of the areas we went through. We went to 4 viewing points in Bryce so you will see everything. I loved it. We stopped on a number of occasions to shop or eat which broke up the time. I would certainly recommend this trip. I think you should consider doing just one park and don't try and cram too much in. Excellent.

The Drive up to Bryce Canyon was long but it was well worth it. Up on the higher altitudes, snow has not yet fully melted, so there was this nice white snow contrasting the red rocks! View was magnificent and our guide Greg was really nice and thoughtful to provide us all the necessary amenities on board - snacks, drinks etc. Would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a day trip to Bryce Canyon/.

We went to US from Korea, so we’re kind of worried, but thankfully, all people include tour guide/driver James were very kind and gentle._br/_
We didn’t know that we’re going to have a small group tour(we’re just five including us), but it was much better than it looks._br/_
The car was comfortable, so long driving wasn’t that tired._br/_
The lunch was delicious, so even mother who really doesn’t like sandwich enjoyed it!_br/_
Most of all, the canyon has various magnificent scenes._br/_
All lookout points have different view and we could have time to walk down along the trail, so it became an unforgettable experience._br/_
We even agreed that Bryce canyon is much better than Grand canyon, because we had unfavorable time just the day before of this tour._br/_
I really regret when I came back to hotel, because I forgot to ask all people to take a picture together…_br/_

Just the best trip I have been on! Bryce Canyon is just the amazing and I enjoyed the whole experience from pick up to drop off. Would highly recommend a smaller group tour, our driver and guide was James from Detours and he was a font of knowledge and just couldn't be faulted. Nothing was too much trouble. Great boxed lunch from an artisan bread company en route to Bryce and plenty of rest breaks, nothing was too much trouble. The minivan was comfortable and our group of 6 were sociable and a mix of nationalities. I preferred this trip to the Grand Canyon tour taken 2 years previous; the views are just amazing. You will definitely get more from your trip by travelling with a smaller tour group; it is a lot more personal and a good way of meeting new people. I was a female travelling alone and found this a great experience. Considering returning to Bryce for an overnight stay to try out some of the trekking trails. You will not be disappointed with this trip. Just book it!

Although it is a long drive from Las Vegas to Bryce Canyon, it is well worth it. _br/_
Our driver, James, was an attentive and good driver, and he was very knowledgeable about the various landmarks on the route. He was very attentive to ensure sufficient rest-stops and at the food stops. _br/_
The 8-seat van was comfortable, but it was a bit bouncy on the poor road surfaces around Las Vegas and the A/C ventilation was not that good, considering it was 110F outside. _br/_
Bryce Canyon is an amazing and beautiful National Park. Our driver James guided us to the three lookout points and helpfully took our photos using our cameras with the Canyon in the background. We also stopped on route at Red Rock Canyon Park to photograph the rock formations. _br/_
Overall, the trip is highly recommended, although an air-sprung and better ventilated van would make for a more comfortable journey.

I absolutely loved the whole day from the journey through Arizona and Utah with snow covered trees, to the jaw dropping experience of seeing Bryce Canyon for the first time. The guide/driver was informative and accommodating. The journey from Las Vegas is 4 and half hours so I realise it would not suit everyone, but the spectacular canyon in my opinion makes up for it.
