Grand Canyon West Rim Coach Tour from Las Vegas

Grand Canyon West Rim Coach Tour from Las Vegas

Las Vegas, United States of America

Journey to the Grand Canyon's West Rim on this 9-hour coach tour, round-trip from Las Vegas. You’ll ride a park shuttle to Eagle Point and Guano Point to snap pics of the Colorado River below. Use your meal ticket for a barbecue lunch at the Hualapai village and leave the driving to your guide, including pickup and drop-off at selected hotels.

Start your journey to the mighty Grand Canyon with pickup from your Las Vegas hotel. You are provided with a light snack on board the coach and a short leg stretch during a photo stop at Hoover Dam en route to the national park.

Once you arrive at the Grand Canyon's West Rim, check out the Welcome Center. From here, catch the hop-on hop-off shuttle that transports you to Eagle Point, home to the Skywalk (admission not included; available for purchase). Stop, too, at Guano Point overlooking the Colorado River. Grab a barbecue lunch at the Hualapai village with your meal ticket.

On return to the Welcome Center, it’s time to head back to Las Vegas. Take in another view of Hoover Dam as your coach crosses the Mike O’Callaghan–Pat Tillman Memorial Bridge. See the neon lights of the Las Vegas Strip when you descend into the valley and conclude your day trip with drop-off at your hotel.

Grand Canyon was cool just to much time in a bus for me!

Enjoyed the tour and the couple of stops we made particularly the Hoover dam to take some photos.one stop I thought was unnessessary and stretched out, could have made the trip shorter. Fantastic to see one of the wonders of the world. Our date of the trip was cancelled and every effort was made to contact me to let me know excellent customer service. Our driver was Keith who made the trip enjoyable.

We had a great trip to Hoover Dam and Grand Canyon West Rim. We were picked up and dropped off at Treasure Island, as they did not pick up at the Wynn. Our driver Captain Mike was very entertaining and knowledgeable of the history of Las Vegas area and Hoover Dam. He had bottled water, snacks and a box lunch for us. Very nice experience of West rim and we had the option to walk on the Skywalk. Spectacular views of the Grand Canyon.

This was a spectacular experience, we were staying at Luxor which didn’t have a pickup but we were picked up from Excalibur casino which was right next door. The meal was managed well during the drive so that when we reached the park we could spend time on photography etc. Derek our driver was great

The tour guide was very entertaining. Quick stop to get the view of hoover dam. Had about 4 hours at the Grand Canyon which felt the right amount of time. They dropped us off at another hotel on the way back because we had the a show at 7 which was considerate.

Claus was an excellent driver and he was very nice about lunch and information about the trip. I felt safe especially being on my own and he had full attention on the road. The day was a lifetime memory and I will never forget it. I really enjoyed horseback riding and seeing eagle rock. Took many pictures.

Not much of a tour. The driver was a little rude and the tour was being dropped off for 4 hours to explore. The views were great, but the south side is much better and better service.

The West Rim was a great location to see the Grand Canyon from. Good angles for pictures especially from Guano Point. Eagle Point had the Sky Walk, a picnic area, and Native American dancing. The shuttles were very timely and moved large numbers of people from one area to another. I'd lengthen the amount of time spent at Hoover Dam in order to get more info on its history and the inner workings. Our guide Grant did a great job relaying some facts with the amount of time he had. Maybe lessen time at the Canyon and add more to the Dam or lengthen the trip. Grant was an excellent guide. He was very friendly and congenial seemed to know what he was talking about.

Grant, our tour guide was excellent, however, the actual tour was not as we expected. The commercialism has taken over the West Rim so much so that the natural environment has been diminished by the tourism industry. I believe that for the people who simply want the experience of having been there...done that it serves the purpose. The majesty and beauty of the Grand Canyon otherwise seems to have been reduced to none other than an amusement park atmosphere.

5 all round for me fantastic way to spend the day away from the strip, breataking views on all stops and bus rides very frequent to make the trip and experience it for yourself and don't forget the skywalk. All around fantastic trip and highly recommend this.

Review by:   Sonia L. Rodriguez,    October 2017 Review: 2 star rating: It was OK, but could have been better
The tour started really bad, we were pick up from our location on a party bus instead of a coach bus like it was advertised online. I thought it was going to be ok until we got to another hotel to pick up more passengers, buy then the party bus was completely full and there were still 7 more passenger that need it to get into the bus. A group of 13 women that got in the bus started complaining of the conditions that we were going to travel for more than 3 hours to the canyon and they were right, it wasn't the right bus for such a long tour, I called the office and all they did is to apologize over the phone with the excuse that they didn't have another bus and instead of cancelling the tour they decided to send a party bus instead._br/_ The tour guide started to get really upset with the passengers, because he wanted all of us to squish to accommodate the remaining 7 passengers, but it wasn't enough room for everybody, we lost like over 30 minutes arguing back and forth with the tour guide._br/_ When we finally got to the Grand Canyon, the view was absolutely amazing, worth the uncomfortable round trip bus ride.

Stopped at the Hoover Dam, it was worth seeing, the drive from Hoover Dam to Grand Canyon we had a video playing, about the new Skywalk. would have preferred to hear about environment/ science and not man-made structures. But it was nice, when we got there, I avoided the Skywalk and had a natural view.

Review by:   ET phone home,    October 2017 Review: 3 star rating: Worth doing
For us surprisingly West Rim was nicer to see than South Rim, especially the 360 Guano Vista Point. Skywalk is not really worth doing because you are not allowed to take pictures or cameras or phone or anything on the Walk. And after some time on the glass Walk, it's not that impressive anymore. _br/_ The Indians managing the place are not really friendly._br/_ Our tour guide Mike was nice and friendly but his NYC accent, we didn't understand most of the things or jokes he was telling as we are not native speakers. Also, the tour was not so well planned. We were dropped at the entrance of the West Rim and got our bracelet for the shuttle bus that circulates on the whole site, however we didn't receive any information or map which stop would be what. Had we known, we would have arranged to spend more time at the last stop with the 360 degree panorama view, which was by far the most worthy to see. _br/_ Next time we'll probably take a VIP tour or small-group tour like we did for other attractions and there it was so much better.

This trip on October 4, 2017 was SUCH a disappointment. Pick location was change the day before... then when we started trip on a larger bus, there was No guide!! This meant there was No informative commentary at all. I could have driven myself and it would have been CHEAPER. When we arrived at the west rim the driver had NO idea what to do with us. We were supposed to have tickets so they wouldn't let us in. It took 30-40minutes before they let us in, with no one giving us any information on what we were to do. Going home ,the driver had no idea what to do with the people who came on mini buses. He ended up taking everyone to their hotels. A 9hr trip took 11 1/2 hours

The company sent a driver who had never done this tour. Of course, many, many foul-ups occurred. According to another passenger, who had previously taken this trip with the same company, we did not stop at the correct stop at Hoover Dam. Upon arrival at the GC West Rim, the driver left us standing for 40 minutes while wrist bands were procured. The end result, much less free time at the site. The company dropped the ball here. The driver did her best, but the company should never have let her do this run without adequate training.

Whilst this tour was good and the canyon is beyond comparison the trip did not deliver what I thought it would. I thought the trip included a hot lunch but it was just a packed lunch with a sandwich, crisps, cookie and apple.

We had taken a trip using Viator when we were visiting Rome. We had taken a day trip to Pompeii. and That is the reason we took Viator. This trip also was very well conducted . It is Just that I felt that slightly longer time should have been spent at Hoover Dam. The tour was good quality , it is just that I felt the Europe Tour was better .

Great tour. Pick up was easy from out hotel. Our driver, Grant, was very engaging and very pleasant and knowledgeable. Deli lunch was better than I expected. And of course the view was amazing. Plenty of time allowed to view the Canyon. Plenty of photo opportunities. Would recommend this tour.

A really enjoyable tour giving lots of time at the Grand Canyon. Only criticism is that the stop at the Hoover Dam was on the wrong side of the dam , so we only really saw the back of it not the iconic front view.

We took this wonderful tour last week. We had Derek as a tour guide who was fantastic. Gave us some good information about different things in the area but didn't over talk. I thought the tour was great however I would make a few suggestions. When I signed up for the trip it was stated that we would receive a voucher for lunch at the West Rim which we were looking forward to. We ended up getting a choice of 3 cheap sandwiches veggie, ham or turkey. You have to make a pit stop to pick up the sandwiches and everyone has to get off the bus to get them and then get back on. They said they were doing this for time purposes. However the time it takes to get on and off the bus to get your sandwiches you can do this at the West Rim. You really do have enough time to eat at the Grand Canyon. It would have been nice to have lunch overlooking this beautiful view. Secondly, the drop off is way too long. Not the driver's fault at all. But there should be drop off points along the way that are close to the hotels. It took us an extra hour to drop everyone off once we were back. All is all a very great tour and loved our tour guide with the exception of lunch and drop offs.

This was a long day, but very enjoyable. Comfortable and informative drive. Stop at Hoover Dam was quick but just enough to get informative narratives and a few pics. The west rim was Magestic and we had plenty of time to explore. Lunch was very good. Best= he got down on one knee and proposed. Yes!

Our tour was fantastic! Breathtaking! The Grand Canyon was definitely a view only from God! Hoover Dam was great too! Derek was our tour guy, very informative, and knowledgeable! The food on the tour was great! Good breakfast bar, and lunch was super! Best tender chicken lunch! It was worth the money we spent towards the tour! Prayed for a cool tour, my son is in the air force in Vegas, he said mom I don't believe you will get cool weather. I said I believe in miracles, sure enough weather was cool, after a light rain! Thanks be to God!

The West Rim Grand Canyon tour was really a nice tour. Our first stop was at Hoover Dam for a few photo ops and it was beautiful. Then on to the Grand Canyon which had 3 photo op stops. We then had a nice lunch in the shade and then hiked around a bit. Michael our tour bus driver was was very friendly and funny and kept us all entertained with his wit! He also picked us up in a timely manner and dropped us off on time. It was a nice tour to take if you don't want the very long South Rim Tour! Would definitely recommend Michael if you have a choice - Kudos to Michael!

Overall, great tour. Professional guide/driver with vast knowledge of the area made frequent photo stops. Only recommendation is to list pick up points in the Las Vegas area to avoid delays and confusion.

5 family members took this trip 2 teens and 3 adults. Even though it was a beastly hot day, we had a wonderful excursion. The bus ride was very comfortable, and on the way, the driver stopped and picked up additional bottles of cold water- much appreciated. He timed the trip well, saving the Hoover Dam for the return trip. Therefore, we were among the early arrivals at the Grand Canyon. For lunch, we could have used the coupons toward a purchase, but we chose to eat at the restaurant immediately overlooking the Skywalk. Not only was this a delightful and cool respite, but we also got a perfect view without having to pay for the Skywalk! On our return, while we got a great view of the dam, one of our party couldn't handle the 80 or so steps to climb there. However, everyone came back tired but thrilled with this visit.

Our Bus Tour to grand canyon west rim was amazing. The bus driver was delightful and gave us insight to many things along the way. all the passengers were cordial and enjoyed traveling with each person. Our stop for lunch was good. The menu called for baked beans. Our bus driver , inadvance asked every one on board to skip the beans, for his sake. , however there were no problems._br/_ This tour is highly recommended and was a good price, considering the many things the tour offered.

Great trip, highly recommend, driver was awesome, views were awesome, even though the temps were over 110 degrees F! Wouldn't change anything except the weather so I could've gone horseback riding!!. LOVED IT, and timing still allowed for dinner and an evening out in Vegas afterwards.

The approx. 3 hour bus ride is not bad at all and it is entertaining. It is well worth the price, the lunch was good and a good portion. We didn't want a long tour so this was a great choice. The bus had us back by around 5:30 pm. Driver was personable and entertaining, but I am not sure he has his facts straight.

This was our very first tour to the Grand Canyon and Mike our driver/guide was exceptional and very knowledgable. I personally loved his New York personality. My wife and I without a doubt take another tour with this company as long as Mike was the driver.

A really good tour with great options for variations of choice. We were picked up, not from our hotel though, but traveled with Mike who was interested and entertaining, and loves the place. The whole experience was awe- inspiring. The canyon itself defies description, and we were treated to little extras at the Hoover damage, and other viewing spots. Would definitely recommend this tour to others. We added on the helicopter drop into the canyon itself, and still had time to see what we wanted to see. I was really sorry not to buy any souvenirs this day, as there are none any other place of the canyon.

If your visiting Las Vegas a trip to the Grand Canyon is a must, the West rim is the closest, but it's still a 2 hour coach tour there, however we made a stop at Hoover dam for a photo opportunity which was breathtaking, and the Grand Canyon is awe inspiring, our driver/guide was Mike and he was funny and informative. The Grand Canyon was a bit crowded and there are shuttle buses to run you bettter each sight seeing spot which take a few minutes out of your day there. We had lunch at the ranch which was great as well.

I booked online the day before we went on the trip so I had to call the office to confirm details. The lady I spoke to was very friendly and gave me clear instructions on where to be the next morning. _br/_ We were picked up on time by Arnold our driver who was very knowledgeable and gave us information all the way to the Hoover Dam and into the Grand Canyon. When we arrived we were given clear instructions on what was available/timings and what was included in our package._br/_ Everything went smoothly - we had a lovely lunch at one of the 3 areas we visited on the shuttle bus could have chosen any one of the 3 and we chose to pay extra to go out on the Skywalk 21 which was great- you have to buy their photos if you want a memory of the day as no cameras/phones etc are alowed, but you can choose anything from 1 photo to an electronic version of all of them and no pressure._br/_ We paid 106.99 pp for the trip which was cheaper for the same deal on offer at the half price ticket booth. Lots of people on the tour had paid more._br/_ I would recommend this trip as it was all I expected, well organised and a great price.

First time to the Grand Canyon West Rim. Driver/guide Michael was the best. He was on time as noted in the communication and got us back early. the whole trip from pickup to drop off went fantastic. We left Las Vegas right on time and stopped first at the Hoover Dam for some great photos. Michael was so informative on the whole trip. He stopped for an unscheduled photo op at Lake Meade which was awesome then on to Hoover Dam. After one hour we stopped at a small rest stop for a bathroom break at a cool local convenience store. then about another hour or so to the West rim of the Grand Canyon. Michael explained in detail about the three different stops and recommended how to spend our time most efficiently. Again he was spot on. Michael really made the trip worthwhile and I would highly recommend this trip. We left around 7:30 am and got back around 5:00. Not so bad for a fantastic trip. the south rim is an all day tour, about 17 hours. We just didn't want that long of a day and I'm glad we decided to do the West Rim tour. I think this tour is all you need from Vegas to enjoy the splendor of the Grand Canyon. Don't miss this one. book it now.
