Grand Canyon White Water Rafting Trip from Las Vegas

Las Vegas, United States of America

Get ready for the adventure of a lifetime! Raft down the mighty Colorado River along the Grand Canyon’s sheer cliffs. Also included in this exciting day trip from Las Vegas is a 4,000-foot (1,200-meter) helicopter transfer to the rim of the Grand Canyon.

Get an early start from Las Vegas and head out to the Hualapai land at the Grand Canyon. Arriving at Peach Springs in Arizona, you will then continue on to the Colorado River for your 5.5-hour white-water rafting adventure.

Your native Hualapai guide will guide you through class 3 to class 6 rapids on your 40-mile (64km) journey through the Grand Canyon. Stops are made throughout the trip so you can discover hidden canyons and waterfalls, including Tavertine Waterfall. A boxed lunch is included which you can enjoy in the solitude of the canyon. Be sure to bring your camera for incredible photo opportunities!

If selected, your rafting tour will end on board a 6-seater A-Star helicopter for your short transfer 4,000 feet to the rim of the Grand Canyon.

Return to the lights of Las Vegas by air-conditioned van, arriving at approximately 7:00-8:00pm.

This tour is likely to sell out so book early!

Absolutely Brilliant and a great experience. Full day tour with a good lunch. Plenty of rock formations to see and the white water part was great Note -the water was very cold and you get wet everywhere, there is no point in wearing any waterproofs as the water falls on top of you - but thats what you are there for!. Went down into the canyon in an old School bus to the rafts, visited a waterfall no designated path, you climbed rocks and we meandered down the canyon we didn't do the helicopter after the white waters - very quiet and peaceful.

This was probably the best tour I have ever taken and we were extremely satisfied. Everyone involved was great and made the trip enjoyable. The guides were very knowledgeable and you could tell they really liked their job. Michael who drove us out to the river had a ton of knowledge to give us and made sure to point out as much as he could going down. Our guide on the boat, Andrew, was great as well and I'd ask for him when we come back for this again. He was super nice, knowledgeable, and overall made sure we had a great time. I was pretty impressed by the training they have to go through for certification and was impressed overall by the way he took us down the river. Ron who drove us out was super nice as well and made sure we were prepped. That said about the staff, the actual trip was amazing and a highly reccomend it to anyone who wants to see the GC from the river. I was hesitant to book this trip at first thinking we might not see a lot or the rapids might be small due to it being a one day trip or more towards the end of the usual longer trips but I was 100 wrong - you go through a decent amount of larger rapids and you see a lot of great stuff. Highly recommend climbing to the waterfall too. We had a great time the entire trip and I want to come back ASAP. One last thing - we wore thick plastic suits and still were drenched but they were still worth wearing because they acted as a shield from the water so I would recommend wearing one on the trip just for that reason.

What a fantastic experience, we had an amazing guy on our raft who knew the canyon like the back of his hand. yes you have to set off early but it is well worth it. They have a dry bag on the boat to place all your belongings in. You dont need to take any waterproofs as they wont really help, and its all part of the fun getting wet. Make sure you have a waterproof camera to get some great snaps._br/_ The helicopter ride out of the canyon was great fun also, but you do have a bit of a trek up the canyon to catch it.

This was a fantastic trip and what a way to see the Grand Canyon whilst at the same time, having the adrenaline rush of white water rafting. Don't be put off by the price....whilst at face value, it's not cheap, it's definitely worthwhile for what is probably a once in a lifetime experience.

I have waited years to do this excursion and I was not disappointed. A truly exhilarating experience and one not to be missed. Everyone involved was helpful and friendly from Kathy in the office to Ron the driver who made the long drive entertaining and informative. At the site JB the bus driver helpful and entertaining. On the water our boat driver Tyson was extremely competent and friendly and went out of his way to make sure everyone had a good experience. Will definitely do this trip again next time I'm in Vegas.

This was the most amazing trip and to travel along the Colorado river in the Grand Canyon was nothing short of magnificent. The rapids were great fun, but never at anytime did you feel in danger and the pilot of the raft was in total command._br/_ A fantastic day despite the early morning start.

Wow what a great day! Picked up on time, driven in comfort with good company and plenty of 'chat' that kept us all engaged from the time we left the hotel until our arrival at the Grand Canyon. The transfer to the rafting at the canyon was seamless.. Our rafting guide was excellent. With a small boat load and a couple of energetic boys in our crowd, Anthony accommodated everyone's needs. Lunch was simple but filling and the raft ride to the helicopter was enjoyable. Scenery? You have to see it, photos don't really do justice. Awesome helicopter ride out of the canyon! We were met by Randy at the door and enjoyed a thoroughly enjoyable ride home stopping at sites of interest on the way. It was only one day in the canyon but we had a blast! We felt like the day was packed and while we still need to come back to see more, it will wait. Recommend: ohhhh yesss.

My children ages 21 and 10 and I age 48 went on the Grand Canyon White Water Rafting Trip from Las Vegas on June 26, 2017 and enjoyed it very much. I was a little doubtful that we were going to experience true white water rafting, however, my doubts were unfounded. We went through about 6 or 7 sets of rapids and one set in particular, was rated Class VI - VII. In my opinion, I could not have handled anything stronger without being strapped into the boat! It was a blast and we got very wet while going through all of the rapids. The short climb and hiking trip to the Travertine waterfall was fun also, as well as the brief swim and dare devil jumps from a rock ledge. The guide was very informative about various points of interest along the journey and nice as well. The helicopter ride at the end of the rafting trip was an awesome way to end the float down the river. The driver who transported us to the canyon, Ron, was super friendly and made us all feel very welcome. He made a short stop at the Hoover Dam on the way back and even brought us to a local park in the area that has free-roaming mountain goats which we have never seen in person. He simply made us feel like family. I have seen the Canyon now from lookout points, by helicopter and by raft. No doubt that rafting is the way to go. The vantage point is like no other and these are memories my children will have for a lifetime. Thanks to all who helped make this a very special day for us!

This was an amazing trip. Ron picked us up and really took care of us all the little extras and his attention to detail is perfect nothing is too much trouble. We did extra things not on the itinerary which was a bonus we went up to the sky walk and saw the Hoover Dam wow after doing rapid runs, exploring caves and waterfalls, floating, swimming and picnicking on the Colorado River what an experience. The two guys on the raft were great fun and kept us safe, fed and entertained along the way. This was then ended with a helicopter ride out of the canyon. It is a pricey tour but so worth it. Really would recommend it. Brilliant

I have just come back from my Las Vegas trip. This tour was amazing. Words can not describe how fantastic this experience is and pictures just don't do the Grand Canyon and justice what so ever, it has to be seen in person!!!!!. From the very start of our tour to the very end was well looked after. Ron our driver picked us up at 4:30am from our hotel in Vegas. He was brilliant made the trip to the grand canyon even better, supplies you with a nice comfy pillow so you can have a snooze on the way and he even stops at Dennys for you to buy breakfast and there he will explain all what is going to happen. Ron is well informed and so friendly he does his very best to look after you. After Ron dropped us off we then boarded the bus to take us down to the bottom of the canyon even that was fantastic. When we got to the bottom we was met by our boat drivers Nick and Henry. Through out the whole boat trip they was both funny, friendly and knew everything you needed to know about the canyon. In between doing the rapids I think 7 in total which are really good fun!!!! you stop along the way. The first stop is to clime into the caves and see the waterfall again that is amazing. The next stop is lunch which is included that was very nice and when sat at the bottom of the Grand Canyon eating your packed lunch looking at this amazing view you just don't believe you are there. It will be the best place you have ever stopped to eat your packed lunch!!!!! after the last rapid you take a very relaxing trip to the end of the river before getting on the helicopter. The helicopter ride is a grate experience again fantastic views. When the helicopter lands Ron is there waiting for you. You hop into his van for the journey home, he gives you a wet flannel to wash down and had cold water for you to refresh yourself. Ron even stopped at the Hover Dam on the way home his hospitality through out the whole time you are with him is outstanding. I would recommend this trip to anyone who is going to Vegas or is visiting the grand canyon. This trip need to be seen and done to believe it!!!!!!!!!

One of the best experiences I've had! Raft was much more dangerous than I thought, but it just added to the excitement! Staff were super friendly and knew exactly what they were doing too. Our lovely tour guide looked after us very well during the transfer from Vegas and back. It was great to be able to stop off along the canyon and explore some waterfalls and have lunch by the river bank. Definitely a must see wonder of the world!

This was a fabulous experience a truly amazing day - not so easy to leave a review though this is my third attempt!!!! We had a fantastic day from start to finish all our guides were friendly and helpful especially Ron the driver, the road to the river was very bumpy!!! The driver made us laugh all the way. Tylar our river guide made it fun and exciting. This trip has been on my bucket list for years it was well worth the cost and I would recommend it to anyone. You will get very wet and the water is cold. They have a 'dry' bag on the boat that you can put a small rucksack in and a box for your camera and phone. The Rapids are in the morning and after lunch the trip is much more leisurely the scenery is something else - magnificent! Remember sun cream and sunglasses that tie on just enjoy it it's a brilliant trip.

I would recommend the white water rafting to everyone who is looking for a special day and one to remember...I would like to say thank you to Ron....

Fantastic experience. Tony picked us up promptly at 4 am. Two hours drive to Arizona. Breakfast at Denny'sanother 30 minutes or so to the Indian Reservation. We had to wait well over an hour for the_br/_ Reservation bus to pick us up and drive us 19 miles down the mountain to the river. It took about one hour. This is driving on rough land, some of which is through dry river bed. Beautiful scenery. Once by the river you meet the Native American tribe people with their pontoon boats. They get you prepared and by the time we got on board it was a bit past 10 am. So now the real fun begins. Incredible ride through 6 or 7 rapids. You will get soaked with massive amounts of, cold water but it is the most inviting cold water you've ever had because it is HOT down there. You will have stops along the way to see a water fall, hike, swim. For lunch they pull up to a small beach. You will have a very nice, tasty sandwich with drinks, cookies, etc. Then once again on board. But, from now on the ride is very smooth. no more white water. later some people got off and rode the helicopter out of the canyon, but we continued another 50 minutes to the final destination where everyone gets off the boat. Then there is the two hours or more drive back to Vegas._br/_ I highly recommend you wear quick dry shorts, shirts, etc. Do not wear boots, as they will get destroyed. Wear something that has good soles with strong grip. The rocks are very slippery._br/_ Protect yourselves from the sun. It is strong. Need hats, sun block, Sunglasses ._br/_ Recommend bringing a pair of gardening gloves cheap ones that are cotton inside with rubber grip on the outside. It would help get a better grip as you ride through the rapids._br/_ Do not buy the cheap water proof cameras. Buy a good waterproof cell phone cover this will allow you to take photos, or video. Tony the driver is very nice. he had cold wash towels for us. Superb.

It was a great time. Everyone was really nice and helpful. I can only say that beyond it all being fun, July isn't the best month go. During the Rapids and the stops, it was easy to stay cool. During the 2 hour plus river ride to the end , it was very hot, very hot. Maybe, May would be a perfect month. You need to be warm due to the 50 degree water so I wouldn't recommend going when it is cool. Other than the July heat I would highly recommend it. I was lucky and had great boat mates! Well worth the expense.

My family had a wonderful time with this company._br/_ In particular, the van driver Ron is an excellent and thoughtful driver. My children slept well during the driving back home due to Ron's gentle yet fast driving._br/_ The service of Miranda ? the waitress at the Denny's breakfast equal to that of 5 star hotel restaurant. She warmed the milk for coffee and tea, poached eggs for our request._br/_ The Raft crew, Andrew was also very much experienced to handle the first timer tourists.

I have to say this trip was a lot of fun, but that comes with some caveats. We had someone severely injured on our trip. They went over the front of the boat, and were hit by the propeller of the boat. The person has care flighted out of the bottom of the canyon and put us an 1.5 hours behind schedule. That all being said.....the trip was not only eventful but was beautiful and fun. The local guides really teach you about the canyon, and the rapids are a lot of fun. Basically, you are cramming a typical 3 day trip into 1 full day because the boats you are on are powered by propellors and not oars. I plan on doing it again.

This was one of the most amazing experiences I have ever had. The rafting was exciting and super fun. The only disappointment was because of the helicopter airlift out of the canyon that we did not get the opportunity to see/purchase any of the photos they took of us during the trip.

Fantastic fun, breathtaking scenery and you WILL get VERY wet! Tips - wear fast drying clothing like dri-fit so you don't get cold and wear suncream as you wont notice the sun when you are soaking wet. I burnt my knees!! You need good shoes to climb up to the waterfall, I wore trainers which were fine. A Go Pro camera is a good way to film your experience on a head strap - we didn't wear helmets so head strap is fine but the chest strap filmed the floor as you lean forward going into the rapids. Priceless experience - Joseph captained our boat and Ron was our driver - both very nice. We also took the helicopter out of the Canyon which was a nice treat at the end of the ride just about dried off by then!. Don't forget a waterproof camera!

Fantastic trip as soon as you get past the 4:00 a.m. hotel pick-up. I really had a great time. The tour is well organized - from the stop for breakfast on the way from Las Vegas to Arizona, to the helicopter ride out of the canyon. The scenery was magnificent, the rapids were exciting, and the lunch was delicious. There was no shortage of snacks and drinks. A few suggestions: phone and speak with Cathy at Viator the number is online if you have any questions or concerns, bring a pair of gloves I used garden gloves because there is a lot of holding on to either a metal pipe or wooden seat, and lastly, don't wear white. They call it white water rafting but really it's brown water rafting because the Colorado River is so full of silt, it's brown, and your clothing will get dirty from it. We went in early September so, although the water was cold - refreshingly - the air was so hot that we were comfortable with shorts and a t-shirt. One part of the trip that I had difficulty with was the climb to the falls. I was wearing water shoes - that were wet - and my feet kept slipping so I was a bit nervous climbing on the rocks and up the rope ladder. Take care with this. Another suggestion, on the bus ride down to the river, sit in the front as the road is VERY rough I think part of it is through a somewhat dried up creek bed, not a road at all!. Also, if you plan on taking pics or a video while in the helicopter, ask to sit in the front or at the window behind the pilot. Most importantly, plan on having fun! It's a once in a lifetime trip and well worth the cost.

We had such an amazing time on our trip August 13th, 2015. I never write reviews but I just had to put how well we were taken care of on the drive there until we got dropped back off. Our driver Ron was so funny and just the greatest guy. You have to ask for him. The river rafting itself was just a great experience. I had never done anything like that and can't wait to do it again. I will recommend this trip to everyone I know. will be adding photos as soon as I download them.

This has got to be one of the best experiences we as a family have ever had. The Grand Canyon was amazing and the rafting was fabulous fun. Hold on tight though, wear plenty of high factor sun cream and get a hat with a string to hold it on. Your shoes / sandals have to have the toes covered in. They supplied plenty of water and the lunch was a lovely sandwich. Just remember to accept a bottle of water off your guide as you get off the raft as you may have a short wait for the helicopter out in the baking sun.

We had a wonderful experience. The 4 star is due to lack of ability to relieve your self, once out on the river. We're campers and have no problem going in the woods, but unfortunately, there was no such privacy. The overall trip was well orchestrated. The guides were very cordial, safety conscious and well informed. We will definitely recommend this excursion.

One of the best experiences of my life! The only thing I didn't like was the guides while we were on the river. They were a bunch of 20 something year old kids that cared more about playing with each other than interacting with the paying customers. Everything else was awesome! The driver to and from Vegas, Ron, was great. He really took care of us. In addition, the driver that took us down into the canyon pointed out many interesting things. Great tour with spectacular views!
