Irving was AWESOME! We were very inexperienced mountain bike riders and he took the time to make sure we understood how the bike worked, areas of the trail to be careful on, and did it in a way that didn't make it feel like hand-holding. There was also a more experienced rider and he took them on a more challenging path. We were in Vegas for three days and this was by far my favorite activity we did. The views were wonderful and the experience is totally worth the price.

Irvin was our guide and he did a thorough job explaining the terrain we would be riding. I knew we were in good hands when he told us that this was his backyard growing up. He gave those that were better riders the option to take a more technical trail that would meet up with us further down the trail. I paid the extra money for a hi-end mountain bike which was worth the extra 30 dollars. The terrain was perfect, not so technical that I had to walk more than ride. Mustang trail in Red Rock Canyon is beautiful, and we stopped enough times to take pictures along the way. Next time I will be sure to pack a warm beanie, my ears were cold.

My husband and I had a great experience on the Guided Mountain Bike Tour of Mustang Trail at Red Rock. Our guide Irving was great keeping the group together and informed through the whole tour with lots of breaks to catch our breaths!. The bikes were great and easy to use. The trails were a combo of rocky skinny paths and wider less rocky paths. There was also a pretty even uphill and downhill ratio. The views were spectacular and we had the best weather with blues skies with temps in the low 70's. This tour is definitely for someone used to riding a bike, but besides that, with some good common sense and a little bit of thought about your gears, most could do this. Irving picked us up at our hotel with the bikes and helmets and had plenty of water for everyone. My husband and I came to Las Vegas for a weekend and wanted to explore outside the strip and this was an added surprise that was a highlight. For reference, we are in our 50's and are active exercisers who work out multiple times a week.

A friend and wanted to stretch our legs out in the hills the day after running the LV R and R Marathon. We hooked up with Irving, our guide for the Red Rock MTB tour. Since we were the only two riders that day we were given a choice of trails from beginner to advanced. We choose something in between. The TB bikes were fill suspension and relatively new and maintained. Seats were adjustable and bike comfortable to ride. Since we did not have clip in bike shoes we had to use the flat peddles which takes away from some of the riding skills on the trail. _br/_ Soon realized after riding the starting uphill trail that we were not fully used to this type of single track riding. we had the strength but not developed skills to ride sandy, rocky single track efficiently. We choose a lesser loop trail that was easier. After a while we started to adjust to the trail riding and I started to speed up and have fun. I done much MTB riding in the past so, it was starting to sink in again. My friend had very little but was adjusting. The tour level we wee on is not for the beginner MTB cyclist. Does require some skill in riding sandy, rocky single track without falling. Irving was very helpful and patient guide and adjusted to our level of riding.

This was a great way to spend some time seeing a different side to Vegas. The tour was a lot of fun. We had Mike as a tour guide who was extremely helpful. He offered great tips on how to ride the bicycles and the trail which made it more enjoyable for our group of 3 who had never mountain biked on terrain like this. He made it challenging for us but not too challenging that we felt overwhelmed. The bicycles themselves were excellent. I would highly recommen this tour.

This is a tough ride. My husband and I are experienced riders on hybrid bikes. This is not like that at all. If you don't have mountain bike experience on bikes with serious shocks this tour is not for you. The ascent is on a single track with headsize boulders. We had to walk up that. The shocks made it difficult to maintain balance on a bike with so much flexibility. I fell twice with a serious fall backwards into a river valley. Thank goodness for helmets. On the plus side the guide was great and stayed with us and was very helpful navigating the terrain. If you are a mountain biker this is a great trip. Beautiful views and amazing variety in the terrain I'd do it again but would train for about 100 hours before going!

Very nice tour, a bit expensive but a great way to experience the nature around Vegas.

Irving was a careful guide. Though there were 8 people in our group with varying experience and abilities, everyone got Lenny of choices in routes and excitement. For the more experienced aggressive riders he had side trips planned. The bikes were excellent, some with 29 inch tires which ride great. The hills that some rode up and some pushed their bikes up were not too long or steep or difficult....just right.... And the scenery was gorgeous desert..._br/_ The equipment...bikes and helmets ...were top rate...bad Irving brought and carried extra water...everyone went through at least 2 bottles._br/_ It was a great morning trip.

They were right in time and our tour guide was very polite, patient and professional. What i DIDN and #39;T like is the information on our tour, it said it was for begginers but it was not, i had two terrible falls, i got horrible bruces on both my legs and had blood on my right elbow, good memories though!

We loved our mountain bike tour! The ride was customized to our skill level with just the right combination of challenge and fun. The pick-up and drop-off process was very convenient. We were tempted to sign up again and ride the next day.

It was very beautiful scenery and the weather was perfect (end of April, morning tour). The other 2 people in our group however were not very comfortable on mountain bikes and we had to stop and wait for them many times and could not go very fast b/c the guide didn't want to lose them.

I had never mountain biked before this trip and wanted to see the desert. While I found the experience challenging I really enjoyed it and want to pursue the sport at home . Brandon was a very fine guide , knowledgable considerate and professional. I would reccomend this trip for any reasonably fit

Brandon is super knowledgeable and fun! My boyfriend and I did this last week. We’re from Oregon, in our young 30s, and are relatively outdoorsy, healthy, and athletic. I went into this as a newbie mountain biker (although with cycling class experience) and the bf went into this with mountain biking experience, but only as a kid (20+ years ago). He did okay, but I did not.

The tour was absolutely fantastic as was our guide Adam! The trail was both challenging and fun at the same time - and like nothing the four of us had experienced before. Adam was excellent as our tour guide! I would highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys biking and who wants to do something off the beaten path from the typical Las Vegas experience.

Great guide, beautiful scenery. Be prepared for a workout! As someone who has only done some light road biking, it was a whole different world. However, it was easy to pick up with help from the guide and I had the time of my life.

Best part of our Vegas trip! Exhilarating, fun and challenging! Our guide Brandon was the best we could ask for. Very encouraging and was able to meet our experience level or biking just right. Very informative or the local terrain, animals and fauna. Would love to do this again in the future!!!

Excellent if you're in good shape. The trail has very long climbs, followed by long down hill rides. The full day tour is about 20-25 miles. In our group not everyone (including myself) were able to finish it._br/_ The guide, Brendon, is very much fun and a true bike professional._br/_ If you sign in, make sure to call them a few days in advance to make sure it's on, because my tour had to be moved because there weren't enough people who signed up.

I took this ride with a small group of riders that had varied levels of mountain biking experience. Brandon, our guide, did an amazing job of selecting a route that tested everyone while keeping everyone safe. I would return to Vegas just to bike it again. We rode 14 miles on half day trip - it was 100 degrees at 9am. Again our guide made us stop and hydrate, etc. Great time... Thanks Brandon!

This tour is definitely worth doing - but ONLY if you are experienced._br/_ It says in the extra information that this guide is suitable for all levels from beginners to experienced riders and that is simply not true. Fitness for us was not a problem, but the bikes were completely different to what we have been on before and we had no help in setting them up or understanding how the different gears worked. It also wasn't a "guided" tour because the guide shot off with all the experienced riders so a few of us were left behind while we tried to work out our bike and get used to the terrain(not a flat road like in the picture!)We were made to feel that we were holding others back. At one point I fell off my bike when it hit a rock on an almost vertical hill and gashed my palm open-the guide gave me a pointless plaster which came off because there was so much blood and then just carried on, and didn't ask me again how it was(painful gripping onto those handle bars!)_br/_ I don't mean to sound too negative, it WAS absolutely beautiful and we had a great time-the views were stunning and the physical ride was invigorating, all i would say is only do this tour if you know what your doing before hand and are happy fending for yourself! Also make sure you pop your height in, we weren't given that option at check out so if it doesn't pop up call them because i was given a medium which for 5'3" was way too big!

The only thing that I dislike was:_br/_ One of the customers that took the trip has serious health problems and because of that slows down the group. I feel sorry for him, but it was and irresponabity from his side to participate in and extreme trip as well from the company to allow him to expose him.

Really enjoyed the day, red hot, but was provided with plenty of water and a good Vegas size snack at lunch time, there were 5 of us in total with Brandon (guide) which was more fun than just 2 or 3, challenging ride but felt great when the day was finished.

Our guides were wonderful. The path was so rough there was no way to enjoy the scenery. Dead tired by the end of the trip. I really could not believe I paid to torture myself like I did. The bikes were fabulous. Much, much harder than expected.
