Las Vegas Strip Afternoon Food Tour

Las Vegas, United States of America

The Las Vegas dining scene is one of the best in the country, but it can be hard to navigate, with some restaurants requiring hard-to-get reservations and others tucked away off the beaten path. How to see and be seen at a celebrity hotspot? How to find a little-known gem? Find out on this 2.5-hour walking tour along the Las Vegas Strip with an in-the-know guide. Visit four restaurants where you'll sample food up to 12 dishes from a variety of cuisine types.

If you’d said two decades ago that Las Vegas would be one of the best places to eat in America, people would call you crazy. But today, that’s exactly what Sin City is: a fabulous dining destination that goes beyond the casinos, pools and shopping malls with everything from Michelin stars to salt-of-the-earth fare.

To find the hidden gems, however, you have to know where to look — luckily you'll find out when you meet your food-loving guide on the Strip to begin your 2.5-hour walking food tour. Bring your appetite, as your casual afternoon stroll takes you past Vegas' famous fountains, glittering towers and other landmarks to get to the main attraction: delectable dishes to satisfy any palate.

Visit four restaurants — both unknown and buzzed-about — learning as you go about how Las Vegas became such a renowned restaurant city. You'll hear interesting facts and anecdotes about chefs and restaurants that can only come from your local insider guide, who handpicks appetizers, main courses and desserts from the city's highly acclaimed establishments.

By the end of your tour, you'll have newfound knowledge of Vegas' variety of cuisine from around the globe. Plus, you'll enjoy immediate seating and VIP service at restaurants that sometimes require reservations months in advance. Afterward, bid your guide farewell and continue your day, armed with recommendations for more places to eat, as well as the best cocktail lounges and late-night entertainment.

Sample menu cuisine (subject to change):

  • Spanish tapas and contemporary Mexican
  • French bistro and brasserie
  • Japanese and Asian fusion
  • New American and modern steakhouse
  • Mediterranean and rustic Italian
  • American Gastropub
You may purchase alcoholic beverages at your own expense.

This food tour was very well done with a great selection of restaurants and plenty to eat! Caution about adding the alcohol, not worth it and better off doing something a la carte.

This tour was great. We had samples of food in restaurants where we most likely would not have known about. The food was good and they made arrangements to suit my dietary requirements. Minimal walking and our tour guide was very knowledgeable with facts from each restaurant. The only suggestion I would like to post is the tour guide could be a bit more interactive with the group. I understand this is a new tour and this can be learned through experience. Also at one point he directed us to a retro eye glass shop museum without any intro as to why we were stopping there. The owner had some interesting eye wear for us to look at but we were confused why we stopped. When we asked the tour guide why this was included with the tour he remarked we needed a break before the dessert stop.

Customized high-end experience! There is more food than you can handle, and I wish I could eat more, but they were all delicious!

This was a great tour. The restaurants chosen for the tastings were great, and well known, as well as the selection of samples, all within a short walk from each other. Our guide was knowledgeable about the area, history and trivia along the strip, pointing out the public display of art work along the way. I found the commentary as interesting as the tasting. Would recommend to foodies or folks wanting to explore the food scene in Vegas.

Please attend this tour starving. Because it was so much food I had to take the dessert in a to go box. I go on food tours whenever I go out of town. I am never really disappointed. I will say this is the most expensive food tour I have been on, but the quality and quantity of food were outstanding. I wish they could decrease the quantity of food and lower the price. That would be the only way to improve the tour. It is worth the price.

This was an awesome food tour! Our guide, Ray, was informative, funny, and attentive. We toured 4 restaurants in the Aria/Cosmopolitan area with about 1/2 hour at each place, and we were provided with a card listing the courses at each restaurant. Every stop included at least 3 courses served individually or family style. Come hungry because you will get enough food to equal a nice lunch for the afternoon tour. I have been on food tours in other places and this one is tops. Don't hesitate if you are on the fence. I tried things I thought I hated or was afraid to try and was surprised at how much I enjoyed them. This company is quality and their tour reflects that.

We had a great time and met some nice people. Ray's tour included tidbits of local history and information about the 4 different Chef's and their restaurants. They did there best to accommodate my gluten allergy and we both were pleasantly full at the end._br/_ Our tour included a fun stop at RetoSpecs where we enjoyed a brief history talk while we tried on some beautifully crafted vintage spectacles._br/_ A great way to experience multiple high-end Vegas Strip restaurants for the price of one meal. Our next trip to Vegas we will defiantly do this again.

The tour was great. Actually took the night tour as the afternoon tour was filled. The tour guide was amazing and funny and he knew a lot of Vegas. The food from the restaurants were things I never tried before but tasted great. Would definitely do it again when I go back.

Great experience - wonderful service at each location, plentiful amounts of food - at restaurants we probably would have never tried if it weren't for this tour. Loved them all! The guide was friendly and inclusive, and I liked the pace. 2.5 hours went by fast, and we had happy, full bellies!

The Afternoon Food Tour is a fabulous way to explore Las Vegas!! While my father sat at a blackjack table, my mom, best friend and I embarked on a culinary adventure through the Aria and Cosmopolitan, two casinos resorts we had not previously visited. We were warned to arrive hungry, and we were not disappointed! We were the only three in the group that day, and instead of cancelling the tour, our guides happily guided us on what turned out to be a private tour. Our guides were extremely attentive and knowledgeable about the casinos, restaurants and chefs. While we savored Mexican, Greek and Spanish delights, I felt that each restaurant had been selected with care, and we were truly experiencing something special. The tour was so much more than tasty eats at Javier's, Milos, Jaleo and China Poblano. Our guides treated us to points of interest and art along our route, including a rather fascinating visit to a vintage eye glass emporium. It is always a pleasure to sample food that is skillfully, lovingly and creatively prepared, at its peak of flavor and freshness, and that is exactly what we found on the Afternoon Food Tour. My small party of foodies would gleefully make reservations at any of the restaurants we visited, and we would not hesitate to book another tour with Lip Smacking Food Tours! Thank you so much for taking such good care of us and providing us with a memorable experience!

Donald was very polite and professional and took up to some very upscale restaurants. The food at each restaurant was amazing and plenty of food. By the end you can't eat another morsel. Well worth the money. We did the afternoon strip tour but if we had time we would have definitely tried the other two tours as well. Donald is also very knowledgeable on all the good restaurants to eat at on the strip as well as downtown.

The tour visited four restaurants, All were of the highest caliber, and the food and service were excellent! We were treated to the best Mexican, Greek, and Spanish tapas restaurants, and got a behind the scenes tour of a chocolate factory right in the middle of the Las Vegas Strip. Donald provided a wonderful tour with lots of insider information on each restaurant and their specialty dishes. And we got a complimentary art tour as well! He was incredibly well informed. I highly recommend doing this tour early in your visit, to get a great overview of Las Vegas food.

definitely the best thing we did while in Vegas ! we loved one of the restaurants so much we went back the next day for a meal... We certainly had VIP treatment - seated straight away, attentive service, in 2 of the restaurants the chef came out personally to tell us all about the dishes - fantastic !

It was a bit confusing to find the tour guide initially as we were beside the waterfall, but there was not a big sign to showcase the group. Overall though enjoyed every meal. My favorite was at the french location, where they served the tomato salad. Me least favorite would have to be the Mexican and dessert locations. The chicken was dry to me and I am not a biggy of chocolate. I think if the dessert would have had an additional flavor, like ice cream or strawberry that would have made it better. The walk to and from locations was not that far at all and decent with flip flops.
