Ride in air-conditioned comfort on the 45-minute drive from Las Vegas which will fly by as your fully trained guide entertains you with interesting facts about the history of the mighty Hoover Dam. This express tour is perfect for those wanting an entertaining overview of Hoover Dam.
The Super Hoover Dam Express Tour includes:
Transportation by air-conditioned minibus or coach
Trained guides - Listen to your expert guide, fully trained and knowledgeable on all aspects of Hoover Dam and it's history. They are often referred to as Dam Encyclopedias!
Government's Visitor Center and Exhibit Tour - See the history of Hoover Dam, view the numerous exhibits which explain how the dam was built, how it operates and who benefits from the water and electricity
A Walk on the Top - Fully guided comprehensive 45-minute walking tour over the top of the dam
The tour was fun filled yet extremely informative because of 2 awesome people - our driver and tour guide. There is such a lot of fascinating information not only about the Dam itself but all along the way - who knew!! We had an opportunity to see the Clark Count Museum but sheer luck - and can HIGHLY recommend this to one and all - a wonderful piece of history with tons of incredible time capsuled memorabilia. Only down side was we only got 45 minutes and it was not enough - we literally were jogging through the museum, and the little town and could not get to see the rest of the place.... need more time here! Anyway - go on this tour - it is well worth it.

Overall, the tour guide was nice to our group but some humor seemed mean-spirited. I was coming from another hotel and did not get good instructions on where to meet the bus at the designated hotel.

We bought this express tour and were upgraded to their deluxe tour which lasted 6.5 to 7 hours and included lunch. It appears that is common so you may want to check the day before if you only have the 4.5 hours to spend. But you get a good value if upgraded. We enjoyed the tour and the guides, and lunch was good. It looks like the Express Tour is supposed to skip the Powerplant tour at Hoover and I think that would be fine as we did not find that as interesting as the walks on the dam or on the bridge.

Jason was a great tour guide. Would have liked more info as he knows a lot. Felt very rushed. 20 minutes up 69 stairs and to the bridge was hard. Lunch was a little yucky. Museum in Boulder City was so fast and I would have loved more time to take it in. All in all it was great to see the Dam as I have never seen before, but need more time to slow it down and take it all in.

Was booked on a 4 hour express tour but was upgraded to this tourabout 6 I think last minute and so glad We were . Trevor the tour guide was both funny and informative the tour stops at the bridge to get great views of the dam then onto the guided tour of top and internals of the dam a short stop at the Boulder museum on the way back a little rushed in my opinion slightly longer to view all it had to offer would have been nice and lunch on way back made a great way to see the dam and overall a great trip

Grew weary of hearing personal stories about the activity director on the bus. Charging additional for lunch is lame.

Worth the money and time it takes to go see the dam. We were only at the dam for 2 hours, but that was perfect as we were on a time crunch to get back to the airport before our flight.

Really glad I took the tour - great to get out of Vegas, see something of the countryside and learn some history. Dam and views spectacular, and the little museum in Boulder was an unexpected bonus. Jason the guide was full on...... but he and Dan the driver did make the tour friendly and fun.

Trip to the dam was great. The day was a bit long due to a stop at the chocolate store and a hotel. Didn't add anything to the trip.

This was an outstanding tour-this was our first visit to Hoover Dam and Trevor, our guide, gave us great insight on the way there. He also showed us the sights as we approached the Dam and guided us on top of the Dam. Had we just driven there ourselves and taken the standard government tour, our trip would have definitely been lacking. Trevor just enhanced the whole experience and lunch at the Omelet House and visiting the Chocolate Factory on the way back was the icing on the cake. Would definitely recommend this tour and it is a bargain!

This was both informative and fun. Why go with a boring tour company when these guys are so much better!

enjoyed Trevor and all the people on the bus. The candy tour wasn't so great as there was nothing going on there that late in the day. Maybe do chocolate first

Great trip, sit back and relax. But one down fall was the tour guide Jason, He loves to talk about himself and personal life, and I personal don't care to Hear about it for 45 mins to the Hoover Dam.

Wonderful experience with funny, knowledgeable tour comedian as guide. Didn't feel rushed and got to see everything that the tour promised. Worth the cost and express timing out and back to Las Vegas left more time for other vacation itinerary.

Didn't get the tour, we paid for.Tour guide said there was a problem and we had to take an hour longer tour than we scheduled. Guide was mediocre at best. Never book with Viator again.

Excellent tour. Our tour guide, Jason, was very personable, knowledgeable about Hoover Dam, funny and gave us a lot of useful info. Hoover Dam is spectacular. The view from the bridge was awesome. Makes you realize that the men who worked the dam were daring, trapeze artists, brave and to be admired for their courage and work. The visitor's center showed you how the dam was built in pictures and exhibits. Seeing the equipment they had to use back then just brought to mind how skillful they had to be. The tour down into the dam should not be missed. There are so many great places to get spectacular photo shots. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone interested in seeing the dam.

Our tour guides name was Jason and we look forward to seeing him in the UK as a stand up..he was both quick witted and more impressively a hive of information. The trip was for the morning so can easily be fitted into part of your day. The scenery is impressive and the views from the bridge Hoover Dam by passopposite where you get to stop and take pics is a great view point. There is an interesting history behind this dam and you will learn as well as enjoy. You have a choice of staying with your tour guide or you can go solo and meet back at the coach so you are not restricted. It was a great way to spend the morning and not to far from Vegas to travel.

We booked our trip from Viator by way of the Tripadvisor website.. We had a choice of being picked up and dropped off at one of the strip Hotels and ours was Bally's. We were picked around 8:00 a.m. and brought back around 4:00 p.m. Our Host was Trevor and our driver was Tom. Both very nice people and they did an excellent job of showing us around. Trevor is very knowledgeable and informative on the entire history of Hoover Dam, Boulder City and Las Vegas. Plus he's pretty funny and entertaining. Everyone on our tour bus seemed to be having a good time. We went to five different places, Hoover Dam, the bridge overlooking the dam, Boulder City, Henderson for a sit down lunch, and finally the Ethel M Chocolate factory. We played a guessing game on our way back to Las Vegas and my wife won a large package of M and M's from Ethel M. And at our stop back at the hotel they were giving out free tickets to the Mac King and Vinnie Favorito show. Our tour took about 8 hours from our pick up to drop off. I'd go on this tour again and would recommend this This Tour Company to my friends and family.

Our tour guide had admittedly partied a bit too late the night before, but he worked hard to keep us entertained. It was 102 degrees at the dam with little relief but there was plenty of water on the bus. Lunch was excellent albeit very late in the day.
Review by: Rachael W, July 2014
A must see - really great guide Jason but a few problems with the lay out of the tour - example - the chocolate factory wasn't operational and the bus was an hour late. Still enjoyed the tour itself

We had a blast, and because we were the only ones in the group on the express we were invited to stay for the full deal (lunch and Ethel M's). We really enjoyed ourselves and the tour.

it was okay but I thought it would of been better . For any price , everyone should be able to have the full package deal from what you should see.

The most entertaining tour we've had. Very informative and funny all at the same time. Jason and Alan our tour guides were excellent and we definitely recommend this tour for people. It's not too long so it means you have the other half of your day to go and enjoy something else._br/_
You have enough time to do everything you want and see everything you want. Truly great way of seeing the Dam.

Great tour- tour guide was brilliant. The best bits of the hoover dam are above ground- the part that takes you below ground to the turbines is a bit boring. Food at the diner we stopped at was great.
Review by: Pauline B, July 2013
So very hot the day we did this trip..about 43 degrees. Great tour, walk along top the dam wall in the full sun was extremely hot, but good tour guide was very informative. Also went underground...not a lot to see really. At least we got a lot of free water which was very welcome !!
