Lisbon Combo: Hop-On Hop-Off Tour with Four Routes Including Tram

Lisbon, Portugal

Discover more on this Lisbon combo tour, which includes four hop-on hop-off tours for the most comprehensive Lisbon sightseeing experience! See Portugal's capital from four different bus routes – the Tagus Tour, the Olisipo Tour, the Belem Tour, the Hills Tramcar Tour and the Castle Tramcar Tour. The open-top buses on the Tagus and Olisipo tours allow you to get off at places like Rossio Square, the Square of the Fig Tree and the Oceanarium. In Belem, the minibus tour stops at the popular Belem Tower and Jeronimos, among other attractions. And the Hills Tramcar Tour – on Lisbon’s vintage trams – includes the historic quarter of Alfama, as well as the popular district of Bairro Alto & Chiado and Estrela Park. You can hop on and off the buses and trams whenever you want to see the sights you want to see.

Get four views of Lisbon with one ticket! As you travel the four routes – by open-top bus, minibus and tram – see Lisbon by hopping on and off as much as you’d like.

You'll also pass the Casa dos Bicos, a grand building with a façade of diamond-shaped stones. Continue to the Azulejo Museum (Museu Nacional do Azulejo), which tells the history of the famous Portuguese tiles and don’t miss the Museum of Amalia Rodrigues, the greatest Fado diva.

Belem Tour:
Get another perspective of the city on a tour of the popular Belem district by minibus. Visit the impressive Belém Tower (Torre de Belém), which was built as a fortress to guard the entrance to Lisbon's harbor. See the Navy Museum (Museu de Marinha), the Electricity Museum (Museu da Electricidade) and the Monument to the Discoveries (Padrão dos Descobrimentos).

Hills Tramcar Tour:

Yes, worth it, good and easy way to see the city but plan your time... the private Hills Tour tram is much easier than playing sardines with the public trams...

A way to be familiarized with Lisbon and the Combo offers a comprehensive package. The journey was a bit time consuming. When you get familiar with the city , you will notice how close these places are actually.

Great way to see the city, stops in all major points, you can even take all the trams. I would recommend this yellow bus to see the whole city of Lisbon.

It's not very clear info about where the waiting spot, and more than half the bus I got on, the info audio is not working. Bottom level seating area no AC, no window.

Great way to see the City. We loved the Hills Tram Tour the best but the 2 bus tours we used helped to cover the outer parts of Lisbon. We didn't need to use the Castles Tram Tour or Belem bus tour as we had more or less covered everything.

This was awful from the word go , do not book the yellow buses tours , so unorganised, wasted 2 hours being told wrong information as too even get on the bus ! Very very stressful! Not want you want when on holiday ! The tram was amazin , but what a nite mate if you get off and admire the views , can't even get back on one , just keep on going passed ,, that's even if they turn up , waited 1 and a half hours just to get back down ! The ladies at the kiosk on the square where also so very rude ! As I said earlier not a good start to the day it was stressful and spoils ur holiday , this company really do need to sort it out , everyone was moaning . We have done a lot of city breaks and always do the tours , this is the worst one we have ever done , Lisbon is amazin , but avoid this one do the red bus tour !

This was worth every penny! Good buses and trams, friendly drivers and very good tips given about Lisbon and what to watch out for._br/_ The buses were busy but still very good. The highlight for us was the tram it was amazing and the sights we saw were awesome._br/_ Would use again if I was ever in Lisbon which we are sure we will be.

Good experience. It was hard to do all of the routes and the 'modern' route around Lisbon was very, very boring. I would make sure you hop on the historical route and do the two trams.

A great way to see this wonderful city of Lisbon,we visited in August this year in the summer ,the city was very busy but we had no problems getting around due to our ticket.Checking in for our pass was so easy and the stop in Rossi square was always manned by helpful staff, and we never had to wait long for a bus or tram and there was always room on board. The tram was a highlight as they had their own designated trams which was a big help, also the trip to Belem was a highlight,we did all 4 and it was great value for money.definately the best way to see a wonderful city.we ran out of time so we were unable to see some of the other things that were included in the pass but a definite 10 out of 10 from us.

A great way to see and experience Lisbon. We bought the 48-hour ticket to ensure we cover the areas we're interested in. We went back and decided to spend more time at the Los Coches Museum. The various antiquated carriages used by the royal families and the nobles are sights to behold.

Not the best bus routes, however the tram was excellent

Review by:   Susan N,    July 2017 Review: 4 star rating: Recommended
Tram tour excellent. Tagus bus tour also excellent except that we had to wait one and a quarter hours at bus stop 7. One came by after 45 minutes but did not stop. Next bus stopped but it was standing room only! Got off at 9 and took a taxi back to the start. Not enough buses when busy. Couldn't describe it as Hop On Hop Off !

The yellow cable car operator was excellent. The Lisbon tour by yellow cable car was interesting.

Overall the experience was good, but the maps to locate the stops are horrible, and some of the the bus drivers were rude and not helpful. Some were good. Transferring from one mode or route to another was a challenge. Advice is to ask many questions about where/how to get where you want to go. None of the buses are air conditioned either, so if it is hot - like it was this week, riding these buses and trams is really not comfortable.

Great way to easily visit all the tourist spots in Lisbon! A ride in the tram is a definite must do. Though the seating in the tram could use an update, because having spiral springs poking in your back/bottom during the ride isn't very pleasant.

i purchased the ticket for the day I arrived. 12/25 on Christmas day... I thought since they sold the ticket, it was like NYC where the bus run all year around... when I went to the main stop area.... there were no buses, no agents... it was closed... so i am not sure why the confirmed and issued the ticket and ruined my christmas day travel schedule.

I enjoyed the tour bus, and the Red Tram is a must-ride. During the last day, the rain made the bus windows foggy. A better AC will help.

Excellent value - saw all the major sites and attractions Lisbon has to offer, Bus stations were conveniently located and the operators were friendly and helpful._br/_ Unfortunately we only had 2 days in Lisbon however the Hop On Hop Off allows you to see the city easily and maximize your visit. Would highly recommend using the service

Three different routes with excellent audio narration. The Tram was not working when we were there knew it in advance, but the other routes covered everything we wanted to see. Drivers are competent and friendly and the guide book provided also gives more details and makes a great souvenir of the trip

Review by:   Antje G,    October 2016 Review: 2 star rating: It was OK, but could have been better
unfortunately I didnt get to see much of Lisbon on this tour. Mostly it was standing room in the bus only so no chance to listen to the audio commentary. Even on a day with 3 cruise ships in Lisbon port there are no additional busses to keep up with the demand. Belem tour was nice and I was able to get a seat and listen to the commentary.

Waiting time for the the yellow bus was too long. Unable to get on in mid stops due to crowded passengers especially the trams. Not sure it's worthwhile to get a two day ticket. Waste of time.

Great way to see the city! Enjoyed all the routes. Unfortunately the Tram ride was a bit slow due to all the construction in the city.

Review by:   Ronald B,    October 2016 Review: 2 star rating: It was OK, but could have been better
We were off a cruise ship, one of 3 in port that day. Combined with the extensive road works it made the round trip almost 3 hours. In essence we re-invented the definition of the tour as we hopped on the bus but no one was hopping off at the stops for fear of not getting on again due to the extensive queues waiting the arrival of a bus_br/_ Many of the audio units of the bus were not working which meant a good number of people missed the explanation of the points of interest._br/_ Again we found the local pricing of the trip cheaper than Trip Advisor/Viator - Euros 40 2 tickets compared to 45.

The Yellow Bus Hop-on Hop-off is the best in Lisbon but don't waste your time waiting to get on the trams. They are always packed. One of the funiculars never works either.

Review by:   annegraham59,    September 2016 Review: 4 star rating: Recommended
The bus routes were good and showed us a lot of Lisbon, it is a large city. The queues to get on the trams were long and we got fed up waiting so didn't go on them. The trams are very small and don't hold very many people and only go every 25/30 minuits, so if you don't get on one you have a long wait for the next.

Excellent value for money as we had free access to the other city buses and the trams and aerobus. This is a very good way to see as much of Lisbon as you can during a short break. Buses are frequent and take you to all the interesting areas of Lisbon. We particularly liked the monastery, Belem tower blue line tour and the red tram tour was the highlight of our trip, which we did twice to get up to the Cathedral and St Jorge castle. Well worth the money.

Great tour with four different routes and amazing discount booklet that could be utilized for various sites. However, when I went, the drivers were on strike I did not get to go on the Olisipo tour which was the one I truly wanted to go on, hopefully next time the drivers for yellow bus tours will be compensated accordingly and will not have a reason to go on strike. The Hills Tram Car tour was excellent, however, there were cars parked on the tracks by the time the municipal police came to tow them away most people were discouraged and relied on public transportation to continue their tour of Lisbon. Overall, great bundle but one must be on the lucky side to benefit the whole package.

Brilliant. Drivers very helpful.

Review by:   Kathie,    December 2015 Review: 4 star rating: Recommended
The tour is fine, however there are so many buses in Lisbon of this type it is challenging to find out where to pick up your tickets and where the first bus stop is to get on to a particular line. We had to walk several blocks to find it and was not sure if we were correct. Wish I would have just waited and selected one of the bus tours offered in Lisbon by our hotel concierge when I got there. Another line picked up at my hotel, so big mistake I purchased online for this tour. Once your on Viator tour it is fine. However also switching to another of the lines offered was challenging because the bus drivers could not accurately tell us where to pick up next bus, challenging.
