Booked this package as it was cheaper at the time then booking through Eurostar. WIsh we had asked more questions of the person who met us at Kings Cross to give us our tickets. Also it is good to be on time as it took us a while to get through customs and security. We took advantage of the metro pass. However, we did not know that Gare Du Nord was under construction. So finding the correct metro line was a bit a tricky and not too many people spoke English. Also be advised that you have to pay to use the restrooms at Gare Du Nord upon returning and once checked in to our return to train to London the restrooms were free. Once we figured out the metro we had smooth sailing.

Horrible experience. Had a day tour to Paris with Eurostar from London to Paris. Showed up early at the train station and Viator rep was late. Then Viator rep was missing one of my tickets. Viator rep was completely lost and had no idea what she was doing. With 5 minutes for gate to close, Viator rep simply said, I'm sorry we missed a ticket and there's nothing we can do. VERY unprofessional!! She didn't even try to solve the problem. Needless to say one of Viator's competitors was around and was able to provide us 2 free tickets to board the train. If it wasn't for this tour company, we would have missed the train and lost our money. Will NOT be booking through Viator again!!! Such a horrible experience and needless to say embarrassing to my spouse which was their anniversary gift.

All in all it was great until we are told that we need to make sure we get on the 9:01 PM train from our guide and then realize that our guide gave us incorrect information and we needed to be on the earlier train. We had to pay 40 euros each of our tickets to make the change and when we tried to call the emergency number multiple times no one answered. The start of the trip was great but really felt like this travel agency did not follow through when we needed them.

We chose to see Paris without a tour guide because we wanted to roam around at leisure. It was so easy!!! Firstly, by joining a group to meet at Eurostar London we were guaranteed seats with like-minded travellers. The train was SO comfortable. We arrived at Gare du Nord and jumped on a hop on hop off bus there are 3 different routes immediately outside the station on arrival. Throughout the day we saw all the main sights for 33 euro bus ticket. It was WONDERFUL and stress free and we spent as long as we liked looking at the sights we chose not ones we didn't. Remember to take your passport and be prepared for security checks similar to man airports.

The price was great compared to booking directly through Eurostar. I knocked off a star for the unclearness over where/when to meet (answer: in front of the Pain Quotidien in St Pancras station not before 6 am. There is no groups desk and the time they give is the early arrival not when it leaves)

Much less expensive to go through Viator than through Eurostar direct. The metro pass ended up being quite helpful as well. Make sure to not be late the gates STRICTLY close 30 minutes prior to travel time. Our fault, but we ended up missing the train and had to pay 30 pounds per ticket to change to the following train. Make sure you're through the gate on time!

The train ride to Paris was wonderful. I got the Metro pass, and had no problem going to the sites that I wanted to go do. The problem started when I went to go back to England. I had 6 hours before the train left, but could not get on an earlier train. And Eurostar had no waiting area that was heated, before you checked in, and wouldn't let me check in for 4 hours. I wound up with a cold, and was unable to take two more of my tours because of it.

Wish we knew that we could have bought the hop on and hop off at the same time as we bought this. We were told when we got to the station that we can purchase the hop on hop off from the tour guide in France, but when we got to France the tour guide was rude and told us to purchase the bus ticket, but did not tell us where. WE finally found it and when we got to the bus he is coming with his group and actually told us to stop and wait for his group to go in first, even though we were there first. After about 20 minutes he came upstairs to us and started being helpful.

This was my first visit to Paris. I found it really very interesting as I had to plan everything. I spent one whole day in Paris. I started by visiting La Tour Eiffel and bought a ticket on Batobus to visit the other very interesting sites through La Seine river. I visited Notre Dame, Le grand Palais, Champ Elysée, L' Arc de Triomphe and many other places. Paris is really very impressive with the many architectural buildings. Very nice day!

Viator was very professional. A representative greeted us at the train station and gave us explicit directions on how to get through the station. The only problem was that Viator gave me a train ticket with someone else's name, fortunately customs did not catch it coming or going so I was able to enjoy the trip with no problem. Everyone else in my party had the correct name. Also on our trip someone committed suicide on the train tracks and we were stuck on the train for 3 hours, not Viators fault but we lost a lot of time for a day trip.

This was an excellent way to see Paris on your own if you only have one day there. The metro pass allows you to travel freely throughout the city, giving you the opportunity to see the highlights in one day. It is a busy day! The only two suggestions for improvement would be to have the tour operator be there earlier. The travellers were there on time, as required; however, the tour operator did not show up with the tickets and information until almost 45 minutes later. The other would be to provide a better map of Paris with more detailed information included. (Similar to what you would get if you took the hop on/hop off tour bus)

We got to the terminal at 6:25 am, the ticket said to arrive at 6:15, no later than 6:30. We went to terminal 5 and stood in the long line finally getting to the front to be told our tour guide wasn't there and we would have to call. Not having a phone in Europe, the man was nice enough to let us use his, but it went straight to voice mail. It is now after 6:30am, I am having a panic attack thinking I've spent almost $400 and I have no way of contacting a tour operator that no one seems to be able to find. Suddenly a woman shows up out of nowhere at 6:45am and hands out the tickets and passes and acts like it's no big deal that she is 30 minutes later than the time we were told to show up. It also would have been nice to be told ahead of time instead of that morning it would be a good idea to change money in London instead of Paris - when it is printed on the written instructions we were given 2 minutes prior to boarding (because our guide didn't bother showing up) we didn't know how hard it would be to fnd to a money changer once we got to Paris. That would be good information to publish ahead of time. Banks don't always change money, and money changers are sometimes difficult to find.
