Overall, this was a very good tour. The first stop, Leeds Castle, was beautiful. We went through the castle fairly quick and then spent time walking the grounds. The second stop was Canterbury and we took a quick walk through the Cathedral and then spent some time in a few of the local shops. We took the option to do lunch with the group at a small restaurant in Canterbury for I think 12 pounds each. The lunch choice was either chicken with a gravy or fish and chips. We both had the fish and it was very overcooked. We weren't thrilled with the cleanliness of the restaurant either. Since you do lunch before seeing anything else in Canterbury, we were disappointed to see how many other options there were and how easy it would have been to find something better on our own in the time given. My recommendation to others is find lunch on your own. After Canterbury, we headed to Dover for 15 minute stop for pictures by the water. We would have liked the tour to include going to Dover Castle, even if it was just a quick stop to see the outside. It felt like we came such a long way to Dover and didn't really get the benefit of spending time there. Nevertheless, we would still recommend this tour and did enjoy it overall.

We enjoyed this tour. Leeds Castle was beautiful and we had just enough time to look around on our own. Dover was nice, but not really worth the time to see the Cliffs and get ice cream because I didn't feel we had enough time Canterbury. For the Cathedral tour, we had to stay with our guide. She was good, but at the end we only had about 30 minutes on our own to continue to explore the Cathedral AND the town, which was quite quaint and appealing, before getting back to the bus. I had to choose so chose to do a little more of the Cathedral. This left me with about 10 minutes to explore the shops. It was a nice trip but when I return I would go back to see more of the town._br/_ When tours go to multiple places, I've learned this is just the risk you take - too much time in some places, not enough in others. They can't please everyone! But our guide was knowledgeable enough and I would still recommend. It was a fun trip and I'm glad I went!

The trip was nice, unfortunately the guide didn't know the Canterbury Cathedral wasn't open. The overall trip was ok, the guide was ok, but I had better on this trip. Leeds castle was great, but the photo stop for Cliffs of Dover and Dover Castle I could have done without. I would have visited Dover Castle.

Our tour guide, James, from Evans and Evans the local company was one of the best guides I have every had. Clear, intelligent, extremely knowledgeable on everything United Kingdom. He was organised and brilliant. Great trip!

Great trip to Canterbury. Loved Leeds castle. We could have spent more time there . We still wanted to see the maize. A nice stop off for photos of the white cliffs of Dover. Canterbury was very special

Poorly organized, a tour guide more interested in the Japanese group that sat at the front. Before we could see what he was talking about we were passed, Everything was rushed, so having a guide that was 500 feet ahead was a waste. Bus accident on the way back, then when the guide got to us to find out where we would be going after he belched in our face, and laughed about doing it. Save your money. Never did see the Dover that's in pictures....too late

We enjoyed this trip very mush. Our guide, Celia, was very knowledgeable about all our stops, and also with other areas of interest along the way. It was really nice to have the option of ordering lunch ahead of time before we arrived in Canterbury I recommend it, good typically British home-style food with very friendly staff. If I would change one thing, I wouldn't do the inside tour of Leed's Castle. I felt like we were rushed through, and the tour focused on the 20th century restoration rather than the medieval history. I would've spent more time enjoying the castle from the outside, the beautiful gardens, or perhaps take a little boat tour of the moat. Our stop in Dover was also quite short, but enough time to enough the sights and take some photos.

This tour give you a great view of the countryside. Our guide and driver were great - no complaints. Enjoyed checking out Leeds Castle take plenty of Pixs and Canterbury Cathedral. Wasn't too impressed with the stop at the Cliffs of Dover, you only get 15 minutes and you take photos from an alternate point by the cliffs not at the cliffs.

The tour was great! Our tourism guide Richard explained us very well about the history of the castle and the cathedral. The bus we used was very comfortable. There was not wi-fi in the bus as promised, but I did not miss it because the tour was very exciting. One good aspect of Richard was his sense of humour. We were provided radio communicating devices so we could all listen to Richard's explanations in spite of the distance of him and the sometimes large crowd, which was a very good thing. I strongly recommend Evan Evans tours.

Nice day traveling through the towns of Canterbury and Dover - stress free! Our tour guide was unorganized and I think we possibly missed out on some learning opportunities because of that. But she was friendly and knowledgable - adequate for the task. The Leeds Castle was a slight disappointment - didn't enjoy that as much as the rest of the tour. Loved the town of Canterbury. Would like to have more time there.

When touring in England in the past, we were taken to the Normandy side which had much better views and the museum was wonderful. This time they hardly told us anything.

The tour guide was excellent, but the tour began late and so we had little time to eat. The opening of Parliament caused horrid traffic on the way out and in so that added to the problem.

Awesome event! Very well organized after a minor glitch. Our guide, Monica, was wonderful! Very concise, well organized, knowledgeable and friendly! We loved Leed's Castle! Enjoyed Canterbury. The Cliffs of Dover were a bit anti-climatic, as not what you see photos of at all. It was a comfortable journey, beautiful counteyside, and uncharacteristicly beautiful weather!

Our group enjoyed the tour, Cantebury cathedral , Leeds castle and cliffs of Dover. The town of Cantbury also was so cute, lots of shops to check out. We have great pictures from the cliffs of Dover. The wind is so strong there, the girls hair was flying. Richard our tour guide was very pleasant and he had a nice personality.

Tour guide was excellent. There was adequate time given at each location for tour and sightseeing. Would have liked to seen a couple of additional stops even if the tour lasted until 8:00 - 8:30 PM.

Review by:   Barbara S,    February 2016 Review: 2 star rating: It was OK, but could have been better
Our reason for taking the tour was to see the white cliffs of Dover. With that in mind, it was a very disappointing tour, as there was only a 30min stop in Dover for a photo shoot of very unremarkable cliffs. Leeds Castle and Canterbury Cathedral were both interesting.

This was a great tour with a wonderful guide named Wendy who gave us some amusing and highly detailed explanation of the places were seeing. The venues themselves was fantastic, especially Leeds Castle and Canterbury Cathedral.

Unfortunately the weather was rainy and cold which made on-foot touring lousy. However, the wireless receivers with earbuds used are usually not suitable for those with hearing aids.

The wife and I enjoyed Leeds Castle very much. The Tour guide was very informative and knowledgeable regarding the history of Canterbury Cathedral. As for Cliffs of Dover that was interesting. I found it mainly as as a rest stop.

We did not pay for entry to Leeds Castle when we booked the tour as we thought we could just walk around the grounds. On the bus we found out that this was not possible. You have to pay just to get entry to the grounds. The tour guide then offered to sell us entry tickets. When we got there, we went to the main gate and was able to buy entry tickets for LESS than what the tour guide offered. I assume the tour company got group rates which I know were available.

The tour company provided an excellent tour and guide. Did not feel rushed at any point, and the sites were beautiful and impressive. It did feel a bit chaotic at Victoria Coach Station before the tour, but once the tour number was called it all got sorted out. Since the entrance fees were not included in the tour cost, it provided individualized options for tours and lunch, but I would do a comparative with another tour company the next time.

Castle and Cathedral tickets were NOT included in the tour cost (fine print somewhere?). Cliffs of Dover was a 15 minute pitstop!

A great day but I went on this tour primarily to see the white cliffs of Dover and enjoy the the other areas. Well we stopped for 5 minutes in Dover at the coast looked at the white cliffs in the distance, was told that behind us there was more cliffs but we could not see them and then we left Dover. The castle was good and the cathedral was good but not enough of anything else. Lunch was ok limited menu. Although the order was phoned through with a time of arrival we still had to wait a long time for the food. Then we had to rush to eat it. We were cramped in a small area up some step stairs which was not nice for people who were physically challenged.

Doesn't make sense to sell this tour without included admission to Leed's Castle and surrounding gardens. The bus drives onto the grounds to get you close to the castle but you have to pay the admission to get off the bus and walk around the grounds. You are able to purchase tickets and lunch from guide. Lunch in Canterbury was good value and very efficient and tasty. Cathedral was worthwhile visiting. Cliffs of Dover was just a 20 minute photo stop. Would have liked to have seen the castle. Beware you are on your own to get back to your hotel at the end of the tour.

Enjoyed Leeds castle but was disappointed with Canterbury cathedral where the recommended restaurant was not up to what it had been made out to be. There was little point in going to Dover. A short stay on a beach with nothing there and a quick view of Dover castle from the outside. I would have liked to see more of the white cliffs and Dover castle.

Wonderful commentary from tour guide. Enough time at all three sites for a slow-walker like me to get around and see it all.

This was a great tour. Kevin the guide was great, with lots of interesting stories. The lunch in Canterbury was very good, best fish and chips. Too bad it was rainy, the cliffs of Dover would look better on a sunny day. My two granddaughters 8 and 12, loved the castle and running on the grounds with swans, geese and peacocks.
