Tower of London and Thames River Sightseeing Cruise

London, United Kingdom

Combine a visit to the Tower of London and a Thames River sightseeing cruise with this convenient one-day pass. You'll experience two of London's most popular highlights, with the freedom to plan your day of sightseeing how you please.

Tower of London
Home to the Crown Jewels, the Tower of London reverberates with dark secrets, where priceless jewels glint in fortified vaults and pampered ravens strut the grounds. Founded by William the Conqueror in 1066, and enlarged and modified by successive sovereigns, the Tower of London is one of the world's most famous and spectacular fortresses. Discover its 900-year history as royal palace and fortress, prison and place of execution, mint, arsenal, menagerie and jewel house.

Thames River Sightseeing Cruise
The best way to see the sights and splendor of this great capital city is from the deck of a boat. The River Thames weaves its way through London, with history around every bend.

You'll experience the sights and splendor of this great city from the comfort of a modern, all-weather, wheelchair-friendly RiverLiner, with open upper decks and spacious lower saloons with panoramic windows. Take advantage of two bars providing light refreshments, snacks and alcoholic beverages.

Cruises depart frequently from Westminster Pier, Waterloo (London Eye) Pier, Tower and Greenwich Pier. The shortest trips between piers last around 30 minutes, while the full round trip takes 2.5 leisurely hours.

We found The Tower of London a great experience. The Beefeater guide was very funny and informative. The same goes for the Thames River Cruise. There was no problem getting the tickets. It was easy and all concerned were very helpful. I highly recommend this tour

A surprise trip for sisters Birthday and an 8 year old boy, freedom to plan own day, went down to Greenwich, a worthy trip, fun commentary on the boat and just an excellent experience, undoubtedly assisted by the weather being amazing as well.

This was a GREAT excursion. We had no idea how cool the Tower of London is! Plan ahead to spend several hours, if not more, once you get into the grounds of the Tower of London. Really, really interesting. We saw the Crown Jewels and took a walking tour once inside. The history is fascinating! The River cruise was really enjoyable. Our tour guide, Dale, was so funny. This was a really good value for our excursion budget and one that stands out as a favorite.

Review by:   Marcy S,    August 2017 Review: 2 star rating: It was OK, but could have been better
disappointed that you have to pick up the tickets first for the cruise and wait until 0945 when the tower of London opens at 0900

Really enjoyed both the Tower of London and the River Cruise! Not sure that it saved any time getting this package in advance since you have to go get your tickets down at the dock first and then go back and get in the regular line for Tower of London tickets. I didn't double-check the cost-savings of the package either. Taking the River Cruise was especially nice to see several sites in one-shot. Ride down to see Westminster Abbey and Big Ben and walk over to Buckingham Palace and Jewel Tower. Pass by the London Eye and the Shakespeare's Globe Theatre.

Sightseeing tour was great, however there is no point in purchasing tickets ahead of time if you had to wait in a 20 minute long line to then convert your barcode to another ticket and the kiosk machine was broke.

The Tower of London is self guided, but that allows you to spend as much time as you want, and the flexibility for the cruise is great. Both well worth it, and get to skip the lines at the Tower.

Had wonderful weather and the cruise was a blast! Good views and picture opportunities everywhere. Tower of London has as much to do or take it easy and only do some of the many venues. Everything is clearly mapped out and there are opportunities to amuse children everywhere.

Great combo. Tower was very interesting. To get in you will need to get your tickets at a booth across from the entrance area. Hard to hear the Beefeater guides due to the large groups, so try to get real close as they are very entertaining and informative. The cruise was nice and the commentary amusing.

You need to exchange for a voucher twice which is a little cumbersome and not clear in the instructions. Otherwise, once accomplished things went more smoothly. They should hire professional guides for the river cruise who are more informative and can direct you to shore activities.

We thoroughly enjoyed the Tower of London and the Thames cruise. I always loved the history of The Tower and seeing it was incredible! The weather wasn and #39;t that great so we didn and #39;t enjoy the cruise that much, but without the rain would and #39;ve been terrific.

Enjoyed both places. You see a lot of the London on the cruise. Tower of London is so interesting but be sure to do the_br/_ Beefeater's tour. Once again, the voucher is for a specific day and you have to exchange for tickets at the pier. Then you have_br/_ to exchange_br/_ the ship's ticket for a ticket at the Tower.

We really enjoyed our trip. The Tower of London was very interesting, and the trip up the Thames was excellent, with the commentary on the history of the sights and buildings along the river. Great day.

It was nice to get to go to the Tower of London on a different day from the cruise. The audio tour on the Thames cruise was difficult to hear at times, but it was nice to get to have as much time as desired in Greenwich.

Thames River cruise was entertaining with great commentary. The only problem was the electronic kiosk to print our tickets was out of order, so we had to wait in line for about 25 minutes to get our tickets that were already paid for!. You could definitely spend an entire day at the Tower of London. But since we were in a crunch, we made sure we got into see the Crown Jewels. Very impressive!

This was so nice. It really covered the interest areas. Actually the river cruise was so entertaining by virtue of the funny guide. And you gotta see the Tower._br/_ Great job with the ticketing and everything. It was professionally done.

A must to do both tours to see the city from the water and to wander the exhibits at the Tower of London

Review by:   Frances H,    September 2016 Review: 5 star rating: Highly Recommended
The Tower is a must see but make sure you do a tour with a Warder yeoman otherwise the value will be considerably less. The tour is included. You can spend hours here. The sightseeing cruise is useful too if the crew give you a commentary. You take the cruise to the Tower/Palace, do your tour and then take the cruise back to Westminster. Convenient.

The Tower of London tour was really fantastic, the guides who are authentic Beef Eaters are just brilliant, and very funny. They have the comic timing of well trained actors. All the info was terrific, it was only an hour and packed with so much information and laughter. Of course you can stay all day and see the Royal Jewels and the Chapel etc.., at your leisure The River Cruise was good, but if you are going to Westminster don't buy lunch on board, there is not enough time to eat it! Well worth the money. Sorry I can't post photos lost the camera!,

Our group of 7 had a wonderful time on this tour. Boats run frequently and are easy to board. The Tower of London was amazing and all decided that if we had more time we would have spent at least one other day here. Thank you for making this a great experience in London.

The boat had plenty of seating and it was relatively easy to figure out how to make our way on the boat, through the crowds in the ticket lines. The guide on the boat was helpful as well. But when we got to the Tower of London it was quite a few process steps to get our tickets to the attraction itself, as picking up the tickets was a separate step from ordering the cruise and paying for the Tower of London tickets

Review by:   Manfred K,    August 2016 Review: 1 star rating: I do not recommend this
Terrible. Why do you people make everything so bloody complicated? I had to exchange my trip voucher for tickets at the boat and had to go through 2 lines to get to the right booth which made us miss the boat we wanted to use. When we go to the Tower, we had to exchange the tickets we got on the boat for another set of tickets at the Tower. It would have been simpler to go to each location and buy the appropriate tickets. I will never use your service again.

The Tower and the boat tour were fantastic. The directions for how to utilize your pre-paid passes were misleading. It stated you could turn your pass in at any boat pier or the Tower. My daughter injur d her knee on this trip and we were aiming for fewer steps and chose the Waterloo Pier right next to the Tuve to start our day. They said due to these passes being prepaid we had to walk across the river to Wstminster a Pier....a simple detail we would have planned for if it had been in the directions. Instead we were required to walk much further. This happened with three line changes due to unclear directions at the Tower as well. The tours themselves were fantastic!

We really enjoyed this tour. Fitting in both parts of this tour could be tough for some people. We started at the Tower of London, and we were able to change our voucher there at the City Cruise station even though the ticket said we would not be able to. We were able to fit it all in.

Review by:   Debra J,    July 2016 Review: 5 star rating: Highly Recommended
IT was a bit confusing where to get the tickets to enter the tower of London. Once we got the tickets though, we had all the time we wanted to spend exploring the tower and then walking to the cruise area from the Tower of London was very convenient. .

This tour makes independent tourism very convenient. We got our tickets for the London Tower and toured that independently. Then we got on a very large ferry-like boat and took it up and down the river to see other attractions on our own. Very convenient!

Review by:   Sarah W,    July 2016 Review: 4 star rating: Recommended
Although the Beefeater giving the tour was fantastic, there were nearly 100 people on the tour with us and an exceptionally crowded grounds for all sight-seers. Extremely interesting, but if you don't like crowds this is not for you.

The vouchers meant running around from window to window to obtain tickets which was inconvenient. Cruise was difficult to understand even though it was in English.

We thoroughly enjoyed all aspect of our Tower of London. It is a self guided tour. Thames River Cruise was a lovely way to finish off.

The Tower of London Tour was excellent. We used the audio guides and listened to some of the guides on site. Very interesting! I thought I had booked the London Eye and Thames River Sightseeing Cruise. Was very happy I had not once we toured the Tower of London. A must if you are in London!

We really enjoyed both elements of this tour. On the boat cruise, we rode down to Greenwich and back up to Westminster Bridge, so we were able to see all of the major sites of London along the Thames. Fantastic!
