Warwick Castle
This morning's first stop is medieval Warwick Castle. Over 1,000 years old, marvel at its amazing towers. For those that dare, there's a visit to the dungeons where prisoners were tortured. Alternatively, stroll the castle's tended gardens. At Warwick choose to either:

  1. Enjoy a free guided walking tour of Warwick's town center where you can view well preserved famous old buildings.
  2. Tour the inside of Warwick Castle and learn more about the banquets, battles and ceremonies that took place here (cost Adult £25.80, Child £19.80, Seniors/Students £21.60).
Stratford-upon-Avon
Past the Warwickshire hills, you'll travel to William Shakespeare's birthplace; Stratford-upon-Avon. Here, you'll have the option to:
  1. Explore Stratford-upon-Avon, a market town located on the edge of the Forest of Arden and home to the world's greatest playwright.
  2. Visit William Shakespeare's Tudor-style half timbered home, carefully furnished to recreate the interiors of his childhood (cost Adult £15.90, Child £9.50, Seniors/Students £14.90).
Oxford
The colleges in Oxford date back to the 13th century and among its famous students were Bill Clinton and C.S. Lewis, J.R.R. Tolkien and Lewis Carroll.
  1. Explore the cobbled streets of Oxford and see Bodleian Library and the picture-perfect college courtyards, for which Oxford is famous.
The Cotswolds
Admire the English countryside with its rolling hills. Thatched roof cottages and crooked houses of the Cotswold's are steeped in both history and heritage.

Entrance fees are not included, but can be purchased from your guide on tour.

Our tour guide was funny, lovely and her knowledge about history was beyond! It was very nice listening to her talk about those places._br/_ My friend and I only wish we had more time in Oxford, we only did a quik tour of the outsides of some buildings of Oxford university._br/_ Warwick castle is beautiful from the outside, but inside is not really authentic, it's more for kids, as they are a lot of reconstitutions. _br/_ Stratford was great we had lunch there, there is more time there to explore a bit if you're not going into Shakespeare's house!_br/_ Lovely cafes and shops! Overall a great day out of London!

Fairly good tour, fitting in a lot in one trip. Great commentary on board the bus, friendly tour guide. Warwick castle was nice, quiet on the day, more for kids but there is some stuff to amuse adults note of advice, buy the ticket to see the castle otherwise you will miss out on seeing a fairly nice castle. One complaint was that we rushed through the cotswolds without any stop for a photo, the windows of the bus were so grimy that you could barely see out of them let alone take a photo. Stratford was good skipped the Shakespeare tour and just walked around town a bit, Oxford was really short, small tour noting some famous colleges and buildings and a couple minutes to walk around. Little rushed, but over all a good tour. Thanks.

I could easily skip Oxford as a stop and spent more time at Stratford upon Avon and Warwick Castle. Good day trip. The staff were very professional and friendly.

I can't remember the name of our tour guide .. I think it was Mark. Our tour guide was extremely friendly, polite, and quite humorous. I really enjoyed our trip! This particular trip did not include tickets to Warwick Castle, or Shakespeare's birthplace. There is another tour that you can book that includes admission to both places, or you can buy tickets on board. Having seen enough castles and famous people's houses, we opted not to purchase admission to either site. We had an excellent time looking at the exterior of the sites and enjoyed our time walking around and exploring the cities surrounding the sites instead.

This tour was a fantastic way to visit parts of England outside of the big city of London. Both Stratford-Upon-Avon and Cotswolds were lovely, picturesque towns. I loved the flexibility that this tour provided me with. Although I opted to not pay for entrance into Warwick Castle and Shakespare's home in Stratford-Upon-Avon, I was able to explore the lovely towns and got do some shopping and eating. Oxford was a sight for the eyes. I will have to return to Oxford some day to explore more of the beautiful city as I did not get to see it all, but I got a little shopping done. A big thanks to our wonderful driver, Tony, and our entertaining and superb tour guide, Reese. If you have a full day to spare, are on a budget, and like the option of customizing your day tour, I highly recommend this tour.

The tour was a great day-trip getaway within a London city trip for our family of four. You got to see three great venues. The biggest downside was that you only got to spend about 90 minutes in each location. If there was a way to spend even 30 minutes more at each stop it wouldn't have felt so rushed. Each venue could easily be a day-trip in and of itself!

What a nice day. The meeting place at Victoria bus station was crowded and a bit confusing. There seemed to be some mix-ups with a couple of people who were in the wrong place. However, once we got on the bus everything was orderly and we had a great tour. Beautiful scenery and I always wanted to visit Oxford and now I have!

A most wonderful tour. The visits and the sights were just wonderful. The tour guide was excellent! Spoke very clearly and I was able to understand his narration. Reese was very thorough, knowledgeable and well versed in verses as they related to Shakespeare. The driver was also excellent.

TERRIBLE Tour! Particularly if you have a differently-abled person dependent on wheel- chair plzzzzz dont take this horrible tour as the tour guide is insensitive to the fact that there is a wheelchair dependent in the group. The tour guide we had on 2nd May was so insensitive, that she would just leave the wheelchair person and go away as she has to tokenly show the places she is bringing us to. The tour is outsourced to a local tour provider Evan Evans and they were just HORRIBLE! This tour tries to give you a glimpse of the above places only and not explore and soak the place. Most of the time is lost in travelling from one place to another and you are left running around like a chicken with 1.5 hrs at each place only to explore, wherein most of time you are running back to the bus point so that you are not left behind..there is no peace on this tour....The guide accompanying will just escort you to the venue and leave you. It is not a guided tour as you expect just that it is guided only in the sense of the bus taking you from one place to another. Our tour guide had no enthu to indeed explain about the places but just giving deadlines...and she was supposedly the seniormost...!!! I was aghast at the lack of professionalism...first of all the assembly point at Victoria coach station is a mess!!! no one from Evan Evans bothers whos on which tour trying to ensure that each person who has booked for the respective tour is on the bus! As we had a wheelchair person we came good 45 mins early and reported and yet no one was bothered to take care of her! I trusted Viator with it's local partners but this was big let down!!!

Wawrick castle was massive with a dungeon which we didnt have time to see..part of the castle is a guided tour then you go on your own, my son loved the armor room.....we had trouble with there being no lifts to i took him out of his chair carried it up the stairs then carried him.... so he got to see all the down stairs rooms. upstairs the rooms were all set with dummies in them to see the servants working in the late 1800's way of life._br/_ Oxford was nice to see the uni and another part where Harry Potter was filmed and also where CS Lewis and Tolkin used to go for drinks to discuss their books ._br/_ a nice drive through the cotswolds............ Startford-upon-Avon was a lovely little town...Shakespears house was much bigger than i expected...we had lunch at this stop...freshly baked pastie...our guide was very informative .

Warwick castle, Oxford and Stratford-upon-Avon trips were good. However i was disappointed with the Cotswolds trip as you only pass by the area. We didn't stop to really see Cotswolds..

The organization of buses in the morning for pickup was a bit confusing. Warwick castle felt a bit childish. I do not know why viator sells the day trip with optional entrance fees because there is nothing else to do at the castle besides go in the castle. You could find something else to do at stratford beyond avon but the main attraction is shakespeare's home. Also, you do not get off the bus when you go through Cotswolds.

Deborah was a knowledgeable and humerous guide. We got lots of history both serious and not so serious. She obviously had plenty of experience at informing and entertaining her tour groups. We packed a lot into the day but managed to feel relaxed with the pace. Enjoyed each stop. Mo was a good driver as well. Would like to travel with them both again.

The tour was very good. The driver and our guide did a great job. I wish there was a way to somehow stop in the Cotswolds villages for a walk, but I understand why that would be difficult. I would recommend this tour.

What a great day. We throughly enjoyed our Evan's Tour with our guide Salvatori and our driver, Ollie._br/_ Salvatori gave our group an excellent background on Warwick Castle, Shakespear's and Oxford before we reached our destinations. Our guide walked us to the entrance of Warwick Castle and into Shakespear's garden . It was easy to navigate the Castle and Shakespear's home on our own. Salavatoi also did an excellent job explaining about the town of Oxford and the colleges during an extensive walk through Oxford. We were very pleased with Evans Tours. Ollie was really an impressive driver . He navigated the large, confortable bus through many small streets and traffic with amazing ease.

True waste of money and time._br/_ Warwick castle is a low budget theme park for 6 year olds_br/_ Stratford and Shakespeare and #39;s home were weirdly kitchy and uninspiring _br/_ Never even stopped for a photo in Cotswalds _br/_ Oxford was ok but not to spend 5 hours to travel to from London!

Monica was such a knowledgeable and wonderful tour guide! However, we really did not spend nearly enough time at any of the three stops. I understand this is a highlight tour but spending about only 1 hour in each spot after driving for so many hours seems silly. The tour could be extended to about 9 pm instead of the return time of around 6pm.

Review by:   Nor Salina J,    June 2016 Review: 2 star rating: It was OK, but could have been better
Was not satisfied with the tour. What was described in the itinerary was not followed. It says a free guided tour of Warwick town centre which we didnt get! Also what happened to the visit to Cotswold? Was so looking forward to exploring the countryside but all the bus did was pass through the area

A good day out seeing the beautiful Cotswalds. Pity some passengers ignore request no hot food on the bus stinky hot smelly food wafting through the bus. Warwick Castle a disappointment a little bit too commercialised

We were picked out at the hotel Royal National and driven to Victoria coach station. Visited first Warwick. TIP: Do not pay for the entry tickets for Warwick cut out a 2 for 1 voucher on Kellogg's and use it. Next stop was Stratford-upon-Avon. We did not go with the group inside Shakespear birth place but instead opted to see were Shakespear is buried, alongside his family, at the Holy Trinity Church. A 20 min walk. Was worth it. Next we drove through some villages Cotswolds and ended in Oxford we did a walking tour with the guide. The latter Irish was brilliant. The tour operator was EVANS.

A great tour, an excellent tour director but the fact that it is offered as a tour with hotel pick up but they don't even bother to reply on my request for hotel pick up made me really sorry that I paid for this tour instead of many others who could have been more consumer friendly.

Very much enjoyed this well-organized tour. If I had to make a choice, I would have preferred to skip Oxford in favor of more time in Warwick if you're making your own itinerary, that's what I would advise. I was surprised how much I enjoyed S-u-A, which I thought would be a bit of a tourist trap, which it was, but a very very charming one. Lot of effort put into preserving the location. Very scenic. I wish we could have gone inside any of the Oxford buildings.

Wonderful tour. Warwick castle is magnificent. Most of the items exhibit in the Grand Hall are genuine. There are two trebuchets placed outside the castle make you wonder how they were used during medieval times. A trip to Oxford passing by Cotswolds town is an unforgettable journey. The picturesque landscape is very beautiful. A visit to world renowned Oxford University complete the tour. A special thank to the guide, Ms. Monica, a Brazilian with deep knowledge in English history. Very professional.
