Learn all there is to know about the dark stuff, as our expert chocoholic guide takes you on a delicious excursion into the finest chocolate shops in the 90210, including Sprinkles (the world’s first high-end cupcake bakery), Edelweiss Chocolates, Vosges Haut-Chocolate, Beverly Hills Brownie Company, and Sugarfina candy shop.
Meet your guide in front of Sprinkles on South Santa Monica Boulevard at 12pm. Sprinkles was the world's first cupcake bakery and the progenitor of the gourmet cupcake craze. Your small group will also viisit Sprinkles' lesser-known ice cream shop right next door. From there, move on to Edelweiss Chocolates, a well-known Tinseltown landmark of which a famous director once, “You know you’ve made it in Hollywood when you receive so many chocolates from Edelweiss that they note your favorites." Stop in to Vosges Haut-Chocolat, where founder Katrina Markoff offers intriguing creations made with the finest ingredients. Then it's on to Beverly Hills Brownie Company, where the decorated "luxury brownies" look as good as they taste. Finally, if you can still walk, check out what's been called "Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory for adults," Sugarfina candy boutique.
The tour host was great, so my star rating is no reflection on her. But given that 3 of the chocolate places were closed on Easter Sunday I feel that we should have been notified of that so we could have decided to go or not, or the tour should have been cancelled altogether.
