If you think that you should go to a different country while visiting Los Angeles, you may take this tour. We took it to get the experience of crossing the border. A long bus ride from Los Angeles and a strip of shopping lane in Tijuana to visit. Bought some leather bags which are cheap and good. Had a fantastic lunch.

Very disappointing in this trip the driver did not provide tips on the best shopping and dining options. We were told to stick to two points of the street and if I didn't ask a few basic questions I may have been in trouble. It would have also been nice if interesting spots on our trip to Tijuana were pointed out. We were more informed by one of the shop keepers then the bus driver.

This was the day from hell! The bus trip was good. Crossing the border into Mexico easy. The shipping in Tijuana nothing special. Getting back into the USA through the border was one of the worst travel experiences ever. We stood in the line of people waiting to cross for a full 4 hours! No rest rooms. Nowhere to sit. It is the most appalling system. We were told that wasnt unusual. Dont do it!

The tour was a waste of my day. The tour guide took us to 6 different stores that sold the exact same thing. He seemed to be friends with the owners of each store and every time any of us suggested a different store he would literally say and #34;no and #34;. Don and #39;t go on this tour

Trip to Tijuana was OK, but Tijuana was like stepping back a few decades, full of shopkeepers hustling for customers, trying to sell you second rate stuff. Worth it if you want to see how the other half live.

Nothing wrong with the organisation or travel facilities but we were bitterly disapointed with Tijuana._br/_
Full of 2nd rate souvenir shops , non stop hastle from vendors, beggars and taxi drivers. Only positive was lunch at the "Ceaser" hotel famed for its Ceaser salad. Getting back thro US immigration was a 3/4 hour haul , aparently that was short, it is up to 3 hours on occasions. Our tour guide was helpful and informative. Will not be in a hurry to return.

This tour was an experience. There is a huge visible contrast between San Diego and the sights of Tijuana as soon as one crosses the border. Tijuana is probably one of the poorest part of Mexico and would be an experience to compare against Cancun! The shopkeepers in Tijuana (or at least the shops we entered) were quite friendly and food is way cheaper. The only negative comment I have is the long winding queu that we had to endure in the hote sun for 2.5 hours in order to come back across the border into San Diego. Going into Tijuana only took 5 minutes - literally!

This was one of the highlights of our trip. Our guide, Jose, was the best. Use the eating/shopping places he recommends but have fun bartering in the other places - and make sure you get the stamp for your passport at the liquor store. Be Prepared for a 3 hour wait to return to USA - still worth the trip. Despite all the bad news about Mexico we never felt unsafe when walking around but stay where your guide tells you

We left LA later than the advertised 9.30am start with no explanation. On the way there was no commentary from the driver. We stopped at a rest area for a toilet break just before San Diego and the driver spent time talking on his mobile. Then we diverted to Sea World and the San Diego Zoo to drop people off. We had no idea that this was going to happen. On arrival at the border the Guide was good at explaining border procedures and places and times that we needed to meet. We were given no tips on where to shop and places to see - we were just dropped off in downtown Tijuana and told to meet back at a per- determined time. Later we learned that if we could have seen a bull ring and cultural centre - too late when we found out from other tourists. The Guide stays with us for the border crossing and was advising us on what to do._br/_
On the return trip there was no commentary. Without explanation we pulled up at the San Diego Harbour and we told that we had a 10 minute break. Then we resumed the return journey to LA. Numerous motel drop- offs delayed our return to downtown LA. An enjoyable day but we were expecting a tour with commentary and support from the driver.

We enjoyed our Tijuana day trip experience, however the traffic getting out of the city in the morning held us up and was so going....that's L.A. Renovations to the access crossing the boarder into Tijuana was a bit difficult for those with walking ability..a good walker, no problems. The buritto's were fantastic, and we enjoyed a mexican beer off the tap. Some enjoyed the shopping, we were there for the overall tourist experience. Our driver was very good although a bit of commentary would have been appreciated. We enjoyed sitting back and enjoying the scenery. Pick-up from the hotel was punctual and the ongoing coaches were organised quickly. We recommend....but don't complain!! Have a great day!!

He pointed out interesting spots on the trip to Tijuana and on arrival in Mexico he gave us clear instructions regarding where our pick up place and what our meeting time was. The time frame was quite rushed and short, mind you there is not too much to Tijuana, but it was that quick because getting back over the border can take some time. However if I had to choose to do this again, I would probably not and choose somewhere else in Latin America.

The day trip to Tijuana is a good mix of fun, shopping and adventure. There a lot of "pharmacies" that will sell you the usual meds without prescription and I loved the snake skin boots but there was no way Mr Customs was going to let me back into Australia with them. That is one thing to remember when you get carried away with the moment of shopping, that most things can come back into the USA but not so into Australia

Could not recommend anything about this tour operator. We were late leaving in the morning with no explanation given. No commentary was provided on the way and we learned afterwards that we passed places of interest especially around San Diego. On the return we were transferred to a smaller bus to be dropped at hotels, and after more that an hour of driving around, one drop at a hotel had been made we were still a long way from our hotel and we left the bus in disgust and caught a taxi to our hotel. We were very tired and annoyed by 9.30pm when we got back to our hotel.
