I selected the hotel pickup option and wasn't given a link through Viator to send my hotel address to Starline Tours. I sent numerous emails to Starline tours to confirm my hotel pickup and they kept saying we'll get back to you. The day before the tour I rang Starline and they told me they don't pickup from my area, therefor I had to spend 70USD on a taxi to and from Hollywood. I'm very annoyed with their lack of communication.

We went on a Sunday - good day to go since less traffic. Interesting stories about some of the celebrities. Also. Rodeo Drive was fun. The add-on 1-hour LA tour is really just the Farmer's Market and Grove shopping.

Very disappointing, not typical of the usual high quality of Viator products. The first thing the tour guide did when he pulled the van out of the parking lot was to dump us in front of a tourist trap shop most of us had already walked away from before the tour started. Twenty minutes later he took us on a high speed run through the areas where entertainers live. He seemed very interested in letting us know how well connected he was with all the stars. Photo opportunities were few and far between because he drove so fast, never slowing down. He talked extremely fast and the van's earphone sound system was tinny and scratchy. When we learned the only Los Angeles City Tour thing he planned to do was to dump us at Farmers Market, we opted out of being steered to another tourist store. Definitely not worth the price we paid. Viator, please find a more qualified local provider for this tour.

We were shuffled on to the wrong tour although I asked the person collecting the tickets if this was the right one for us.WE had an interesting but overly long city tour but missed out on seeing the stars homes which was the main draw of this purchase.I also found a lot of star references rather old instead of more contemporary stars._br/_
There was a very mandatory demand for 15-20percent tipping with the tour guide standing at the door watching every tip going into his bucket .As New Zealanders this felt very mercenary.

The tour itself was good but there were a few issues that totally spoilt it for us._br/_
The pick up from the hotel was 20 min late. After 15 min I tried to ring the contact number but no answer - then the bus turned up. A stressful start!_br/_
We then arrived at the office. We had a voucher but still had to wait in line with people buying a ticket - why bother to pre-book? This took 30 minutes._br/_
When we eventually got our second voucher we were directed to our bus which had been waiting for an hour with people on board - this were pissed off. Out driver/guide greeted us with 'oh you have eventually turned up!' - lucky for her I did not hear her at first!_br/_
This is the worst tour I have had with Viator and I doubt I will use you again because why pre book when you still have to stand in line and this has been raised before in your reviews and you have done nothing about it._br/_
A complete waste of part of my holiday.

You get to see a lot for this price. Many houses of the stars and locations around the city. Bus is comfortable. Try not to wonder a lot since time is short and the driver will try to go as many places as he can.

Really enjoyed going up into the hills on the small but very comfortable bus! Our driver (Mike) was wonderful--entertaining and knowledgeable without being overly ridiculous. British as it turned out--and so am I!_br/_
Problem however, with such a small amount of time for lunch at the Farmer's Market, and then when we rushed back to meet the return bus, it felt like we were stranded for quite a while, and there was a lot of confusion about who would take us back. It got sorted after about a half an hour--but it didn't feel like a good end to an otherwise very good trip! You need to do something better about that turn-around part of the tour.

The guide was very good, but it was a bit of a rip-off. Advertised as a 3 hour tour, we were dropped off after 2 hours at the Farmer's Market, told to fill in the next hour on our own and then picked up and dropped back to our hotel. He meanwhile,went off and started another tour. Basically, it was a two hour tour with drop-off and pick up from the market. Somehow this needs to be explained more fully in the description, or something else added to the tour.

Very disorganised - we met the tour at the Chinese Theatre, we were told to be there at 9.30 but didn't get on bus till 10am. Then everyone got off the bus to look at the Chinese Theatre! We stayed on the bus as we had already been there for over an hour. Tour of homes good, but didn't appreciate being constantly reminded that we had to tip the driver. Then we were sort of "dumped" at the food maket (do they get a kickback?). We were picked up by a different driver (another tip?) and dropped back at the Chinese Theatre. I felt like the last part of the tour at the food market was just a time filler. Would have been better to have more sightseeing.

I've used Viator while traveling in other countries before - and comparably speaking, this was horrendous. The check in process was extremely disorganized.. From the time of our arrival, we waited a good 1 hour, before our tour guide finally got on the bus and introduced himself. He started by complaining about how tired he was, having only gotten 6 hours of sleep. After his lousy, narcissistic introduction, we walked back around and looked at the Chinese Theatre (where we had been waiting all that time) again for fifteen minutes. No description, nothing. Just, "Here it is. Meet me again in 15 minutes." After that, we finally got back on the bus and began the tour. Mind you this was now about 10:05 (and we had been instructed to arrive at 8:45 am) We drove to see the Hollywood sign. Then drove by all of the stars homes. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable, but I couldn't help feeling that he was also completely full of crap. After seeing the stars homes, we drove down Rodeo Dr. Then, at 11:45, the driver/tour guide dropped us off at the Farmers market - again we were on our own. So, what was supposed to be a three-hour tour was actually more like an hour and forty minutes. After eating lunch on our own for 45 minutes, a different driver came to pick us up to return us to the Chinese Theatre. Again we waited on the hot bus for a good 20 minutes while this driver disappeared and came back having bought himself some lunch. My suggestion - buy yourself a good map of the stars homes and drive around to see them yourself!!! This will save you about $50 per person!
