The double-decker Red Route bus departs Grauman's Chinese Theatre every 20 to 40 minutes, giving you plenty of opportunities to explore each stop in detail. Connect to the Blue Route if you want to head north to Universal Studios Hollywood. The reason I'm giving 2 stars is because the day we took the tourMar 18th, 2018, hop on hop off's started only after 12:30 pm instead of 8am due to LA marathon. It was not fair for us paying 49 pp for 6 people and going only on one route due to their late start. At least the tickets should have been discounted to 50.

It was fun. I couldnt believe how tacky the Hollywood strip was. I dont know what I expected but that was unusual. The bus tour was great. It was fun to drive along the streets you have heard about forever. There were 3 of USA d we all enjoyed it very much. Always pleased with Viatour. I recommend it to my family and friends.

Access to this service was difficult. Not able to effectively connect with it to make use of it. There was a two hour wait period between buses on the blue line from Warner Brothers to get back to Hollywood. Bus was dirty and at top deck couldn't see outside of the windows because they were so crazed. Couldn't upload your viator pass from the bus. No application of this service on the Apple or android platform as specified on the voucher so unable to use it effectively. Website was difficult to navigate. Waiting at stop to get final bus but pickup point changed without any notification.Service stopped at 5.30 pm. Had to take the Uber instead. Used Uber several times because of this. It is cheaper and more effective to use. If you want to use it as a tour or do one thing in one day, go ahead and use it. Otherwise forget about it.

No Live tour guide, Just headphones that plug into headphone jacks behind the seat in front of you, which many didn't even work! We didn't stop at many of the points of the tour that were listed. It seemed like the driver only wanted to hurry up and get back to the starting point... I have taken these types of tours in many other cities and enjoyed them, but wouldn't recommend this one again.

Absolute terrible experience. Firstly, had to make multiple phone calls 3 in total to their office to find out where he could get on as there is no signs located at the Walt Disney Concert hall saying Starline tours. Was told multiple different locations for pickup, all of which were wrong! Ended up missing one of the buses so had to wait another 20 minutes for the next bus and nearly missed this also if not for driver stopping special to pick us up. Secondly, at Beverly Hills stop 7 large group waiting to get on from yellow bus to red bus. Driver was utterly rude and left multiple of us behind and would not let us on the bus as she said it was full. This was wrong as we could see empty sets at the top, and despite the pleas from ourselves, other passengers and even one of the ground staff she closed the doors and left us to wait for the next bus, some 15 minutes or so later. Because we missed this bus, it caused my group of 3 and another group of 2 to miss taking another bus, the last of the night. Lastly, the machines in the first bus on 3 different sets of seats were not working so we couldnt get audio commentary in the first route. Worst customer experience ever.

Great way to see LA. We arrived from Brisbane and did the tour that same day and the next but would recommend not doing it just after you arrive as we were really tired and the next day we kept falling asleep!! Otherwise great tour.

The bus picked us up from right outside our hotel in Marina Del Ray which was so convenient. However it took 2 hours to get into central Hollywood at which point the tyre burst, so we had to walk the rest of the way.

Yes I found the hop on hop off around losAngelis boring. i found it to be sad in that the most we saw was old building and nothing very interesting. the best part was the visit to the market after that it went down hill.

Worst hop on hop off bus trip ever. Nothing to see - a local bus ride would have been cheaper. Wasted 6.5 hours on bus/waiting for bus - off bus once only - day wasted. When we complained we did not get any satisfactory response - sent email to Manager, who did not bother to reply. Don't buy.

Disappointing. I don't know what I really expected, but this wasn't it. We decided that we were only interested going on the Red route. We've been on other similar tours in London, New York and San Francisco, and they were all far superior._br/_ To say there wasn't much to be seen is an understatement. We were not interested in a building that used to contain an establishment that Brad Pitt advertised dressed as a chicken before he became famous. That was the standard of places pointed out. Or you had a building painted black with names painted on it of comedians who had performed there at some point. I struggled to recognise any I knew. Maybe they are all famous in America, but certainly not in the UK._br/_ All I can say is they need to try harder...much harder. In our opinion, a waste of time and money. We wouldn't recommend it as it stands.

C'était une bonne solution pour voir un maximum d'endroits facilement et profiter des commentaires dans notre langue... pas besoin de trouver un parking et de chercher l'endroit à visiter. Par contre nous étions sur la ligne verte, près de Venice Beach, nous n'avons pas pu aller jusqu'à la ligne violette pour faire Downtown. Certains chauffeurs sont très sympathiques. Attention il fait très chaud en août, prévoir des casquettes, de la crème solaire et de l'eau !

This was a terrible experience. We road on this bus during the middle of the LA heatwave and there was absolutely no air conditioning inside the bus. There is no tour guide on the bus, but instead a pre-recorded tour that you listen to with headphones. It provides shockingly little information and is almost impossible to hear over the sounds of driving. Between the extraordinary and unsafe heat, the over-stuffed bus people were standing because there wasn't enough room for all of us, and the non-substantive information, this experience was a very real disappointment. It's shocking to me that I spent 100 for two passengers. We could have and did see and learn more about LA taking Lyft's and public transportation. I have always had great experiences with Viator, but this was my first major failure.

Filthy Buses. Some drivers cant speak English. Bus Stop signs are rare. Commentary stops and starts. Sights are rare its just a who ate here 30 years ago etc. Viator charges 13 more than the bus company does. If this was our first Viator purchase we would never return to them. Personally I would suggest Not doing this trip.

I really enjoyed my tour! The audio was VERY interesting!! The only thing I would change is the windows on the bus. Because there was advertising and painting on the outside of the windows, it was hard to see the sites if you were sitting on the inside of the bus on the first level.

Everything was going well until on return trip, we had to wait over an hour on sidewalk. With no apology or explanation for delay. Difficult to see anything well from downstairs seats. Front window upstairs was very dirty. Lots of different colored bus routes, some stops poorly marked and not enough buses to cut down wait time.

Was a great way to see a city that is so spread out. Note that each route takes around 2 hours in total so it you could allow an entire day. Pick-up for tickets is slightly confusing as there was many vendors but a different location for the ticket office.

This is a good way to see all the sights as they are so far apart. I would say carefully check the time tables as they don't always dovetail in on the various routes. We wanted to get the blue line when we had finished the red tour but it was an hours wait, so we abandoned and got the metro. Also missed the connection at Santa Monica for Venice Beach was time given incorrect. Commentary informative if a little irritating.

Definitely the best way to see LA. We started in El Segundo and changed 4 times until we hit downtown LA. A full day of sightseeing. What a wonderful experience for me and my family. Drivers were friendly and funny and always eager to help us with our transfers.
